But when the young waiter asked me how things were. I showed hi. The burnt pizza. And he personally asked to make me another one. I declined. When the manager came over she offered to make me a new one to take home. I declined it. Then she insisted to take it off the bill. Which was a surprise. That was the best service yet. Even for the waiter to offer it. Showed he was trained good. Especially since the pie was missing couple pieces already. Because the pie was taken off. I gave the cost of it to the waiter. He always stops at the table to make sure we are having a great experience and to insure everything was as expected. The food is to die for. David will always take care of you. This bar is clean and one where you feel comfortable among strangers. Everyone is friendly. They have an amazing g happy hour daily and have a large variety of beers. Beer menu changed daily so there is great variety. Appetizers very flavorful. Chicken poppers are hot and a bit spicy with a creamy sauce on side. Pretzel bites can be a bit greasy as they are covered in butter burgers are large and juicy. The pizza is freshly made in fire oven. Husband and I ate here and it seemed as if the staff was trying to get us to spend more money. We walked in, plenty of empty tables, we were told there was a wait and to wait at the bar. We elected to wait outside and were called back in shortly, which just seemed to use like they were pushing buying drinks. When I ordered a beer at the table, the waitress automatically gave me the larger size (when ordering I didn't realize there were size options). My husband and I both ordered sandwiches with modification (I.e. no tomato etc) and neither sandwich came out correctly. Bartender, Lex was amazing. Friendly, intuitive and on top of her game. Food, unfortunately was not. Pretzle bites hard and needed butter. Cheese sauce borders on rancid. Cheesesteak bites served w catsup, so greasy and no taste. Terrible coating in my mouth after. Chicken sandwich was again, greasy and flavorless. My third visit to Capital Craft, but today I tried their Brunch and feel it was a great bang for my buck! I ordered the popcorn chicken & waffle bites, my friend ordered the steak & eggs. While we were happy with our orders, my friend was a tad bit irritated with her order because she ordered her steak medium well & eggs over easy, both were prepared well. The thing is although the food was good, when you specify how you want your egg or steak, that's how you should get it. We tend not to complain when it comes to our food, we just deal with it as long as it edible. Other than that, it was a good dining experience, our server was tentative & in spite of that we will give it another try. Dinner with friends! Let me start off by saying I LOVE this restaurant. Unfortunately I live a little far, and don't get to go as often as I'd like. We were able to get a spot for 4 at the bar, which was especially nice for the husbands as they love the craft beers. Negative--- there was a legit 20 degree temperature difference between the dining area and bar area. Granted it was about 100 degrees today, we were by the pizza oven, and kitchen was pumping out food like a mad house. Won't stop me from returning, just might opt to sit in the dining room instead. Bartender seemed a little busy/ preoccupied at first and took a little while to take our drink order. Remember it's super hot and I'm literally dying for water, so it may have been only a 5 min wait but felt like an eternity. She did come over, helped us graciously with our food and drink order. She was lovely. She gets two thumbs up. The food. Send me to pregnant girl heaven. Now I can't comment on the beers, but the husbands did not complain and their glasses were empty ;). Back to the food. Apps we ordered the Brussels sprouts and yucca fries. Bomb.com. The Brussels had a delicious glaze and the yucca fries were full of such flavor between the cheese, sauce, and sausage. Entrees: Best friend's husband ordered the chicken vodka pizza. Nothing remained. Best friend ordered the stuffed chicken. The chicken did not survive :) I ordered the filet Mignon, only con is I asked for medium and definitely got well-done. Still was delicious, and the filet did not survive either. Hubby ordered the Cuban sandwich, he raved about it on the drive home. His belly was very happy. He did add an egg to the sandwich, such an amazing touch to the sandwich. Always add the egg! (Half the sandwich survived, and will be devoured as a midnight snack lol). On the side we had ordered loaded tater tots. How can you eat tater tots plain ever again? Simple, you can't. They are loaded with Mac n cheese, bacon, and diced scallions. Been going there fairly regularly for years. Service has always been ok and food quality was always decent...until recently. They completely replaced their menu and have started putting out lower quality food. Went there with the family and the meat in the burgers was much lower grade than before. The fried mozzarella triangles were literally all fried breading with almost no cheese inside. We also ordered a steak and the meat was extremely high fat, low quality and poorly prepared. The sauce was stale and clearly not fresh. Basically, our meals were borderline inedible. They are obviously undergoing some cost-cutting, which is understandable in today's economy, but they have gotten rid of the 'comfort' foods that many of our friends used to enjoy there, increased their prices, and are putting out some very low quality food. We used to love going to Capital Craft but, sadly, this family will not be going back. read more

Great selection of beers, unique cocktails, & again...Great coal fire pizza (which you can see them use). Great food & staff in general. So why not 5 stars? They're usually great, but when they're "off"...they're off, also they're chairs are a little uncomfortable (LOL). I've never taken the time to write a review, but I think this experience is worth a review. I'll start by saying that I've been to this establishment many times and was always pleased by the service and the food. I probably wouldn't even considered writing a review if the experience wouldn't have been so disappointing. A few days ago I went with my family there for lunch. My sister has a gluten allergy, so she ordered the cauliflower crust pizza. (She's had this here many times there.) When she gets it, the crust is completely burnt. Not toasted but burt! I was baffled by the fact that they would even serve that. I mentioned it to the waitress, and she said she understood. She asked if i wanted to speak to the manager, and i specifically said no. I said i just think you should be aware. Something like that should not be served! By this point, the service had been slow despite the few people there. We asked for hot sauce, had to get up and get it ourselves. I asked for pepperoni on my pizza and didn't get it. The manager does come to our table to apologize. He did give us the pizza ( what wasn't charcoal) for free, and the kicker, he was nice enough not to charge me for the pepperoni my pizza did not have!!! We then get the bill, and the options for tipping are 20%, 23% or 25%, I mean really! You can customize your own tip, but i still found that a bit much. Mind you, I generally tip 20% in restaurants, and sometimes it's despite the service because i know how hard waiters work (that's as long as my waiter doesn't have an attitude). read more

The place was busy, the waitstaff had to work really hard to keep up, so we expected to wait. We did - but that wasn't the problem I'm reviewing as I know that it has been tough during this period to staff. The problem was the food. We both had burgers. Just basic burgers. I ordered mine medium rare. It came out well-done. The "brioche" bun was stale, and the toppings (just the usual tomato, lettuce, pickles) were all over the place. The burger itself lacked seasoning and, well, the whole shebang was rather tasteless and dry. Fries were decent. My wife ordered her burger medium and, yes, it was torched, too. We didn't want to send it back and have to wait for another period, and we were hungry - so we ate it and went on our way. A disappointing burger, not cheap, so we don't plan on visiting for awhile. Love coming here! The first time I came a couple months ago I was unsure if I would like it due to it being super busy, food, and service- but I was totally wrong. The people I've met coming here have all been so wonderful. They truly continue making my experience here amazing, which then compliments the bartenders who also engage with us and have fun. The staff here is very sweet and attentive, but I do have to say the service can be little slow and it can take some time to get someone's attention. Everything that I've ordered here has been pretty good. My favorite is the popcorn chicken and I ask for a side of cheese sauce to dip. For meals, the burgers are good, chicken sandwiches, mac and cheese is delicious, pizza is great too but sometimes can be a bust in terms of the dough being not as cooked and producing a floppy pizza- only experienced that less than a few times but it is a possibility-fave pizzas: boogie night (garlic goodness), pepperoni pizza, and the margarita pizza. I love having the option of cauliflower crust when I'm not in the mood for dough. I've tried the chorizo from the side dishes, and thought it was good just a little over cooked so it was dry. The garlic knots also needed more garlic and sauce so it wouldn't be as dry as well. I can't forget about the beer options!!! They update their menu just about every week with what have on tap/cans from numerous different breweries. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about substitutions and recommendations. Place is still good. Food is good. Tap list is good. Look at the prices for a growler fill. I can't really say much beyond that. While I acknowledge it's the most expensive fill on the menu, most of the good ones start over forty bucks. (One I'm looking at is mikkeller paddler for 70 bucks! Are you nuts???!!!!!!!) At the brewery that's under 20. I mean this sincerely: you guys can eff right off. That is absolutely the most ridiculous insane abusive thing I've ever seen. Edited to add: While I appreciate the response from the business owner, I work in the industry. What you are saying is absolutely insane. Nowhere, not ANYWHERE at ANY restaurant, bar, or anyplace else that does growler fills do they simply "scale up" the price of a pint. It doesn't work that way. I'm well aware of the markup on beer: I know what it costs to produce and I know what it is sold to restaurants for. 12 bucks for a pint turns a nice profit. 60 dollars for a growler? INSANE. There is a dj playing on Friday nights and although you Can't dance, it is so nice to hear live music again after a year of not being able to go out to bars and clubs. The pretzel bites were delicious and the pizza was cooked excellent because they have a coal fired Pizza oven. The sangria was very strong but very tasty. There's a very expensive menu with a lot of different options and all the food that came out looked delicious. The service was excellent they didn't rush us even though we were a bigger party they still gave us all the time we needed. So basically while reading these reviews I can see this place struggles with inconsistency. It's either great or terrible and yesterday that's exactly what we experiences. Appetizers Lemon Pepper Calamari 7/10 they're good perfect texture the dipping sauce was pretty good still prefer marinara Cheese curds 9.7/10 They were fantastic simply one of the best "fried cheese" things I've ever had I loved em French fries 9/10 The fries are perfect salty, crisp, soft in the middle! Now here's where it went VERY bad Texas Brisket BBQ nachos 3/10 Although the chip itself was delicious the toppings had ZERO flavor and there was less than 1 ounce worth of brisket on this mountain of chips. The pickled onions would be the only pop of flavor that wasn't just the tortilla. The queso sauce was flavorless, very little bbq sauce and the tiny amount of brisket didn't help at all Stuffed Plantain For me 6/10 for her 4/10 For my wife it was too spicy for me I liked it but would never order it again Broccoli Rabe and Sausage pizza 2/10 This made me and my dad sad reading the menu online this is what made us both decide to try out Cap Craft and it was such a disappointment. The sausage was flavorless the broccoli rabe was, well broccoli rabe. But the cheese had no flavor there's no sauce on the pizza to help either. The crust is the only saving grace. The BBQ chicken plate This was 25 bucks for half a chicken (crazy ass price) potato salad and corn on the cob The chicken looked like half a supermarket chicken with BBQ sauce poured on top. To be fair I didn't taste (which is why I didn't rate it) it but heard my fathers wife complain about it and she said the corn was the best part of the meal.
