Now When I bought my new car July 2013 I faithfully always went through there service dept for everything. Never had a problem with anything until this last January 2015 when I got my car back from them and Noticed that my tires had MIRACULOUSY healed themselves from the last time I had been there 6 weeks earlier. In Nov I was having my car routinely serviced when I got the call that my car needed all 4 new tires $800 that they were at Red level which was dangerous( previously I was Green Level never hit yellow) I told them I would get it done on my own ( If my tires were dust I really didn't want manufacturers tires back on it I didn't even have 20,000 miles on car yet. Now when I got my car back I did have a couple people look at it and say my tires still had life in them and they were not at the point to be replaced. Anyways no big deal right time to watch tires more closely and get ready in near future to buy tires. In early January I went back for a recall on my car they did their inspection again of everything.....guess what tires in the green, Tread is great , no worries. Wow there healed...I did mention this and no one could explain even though the paperwork showed right there....and I didn't buy tires, and my tires were not great nor were they bald. So two times somebody working on my car and very sketchy results. 5000 miles later I now just put on brand new tires for $600 .... read more

Purchase a brand new Ford Focus SEL to make sure I wouldn't have transmission problems. What do I get, a recall. Ot one but two. One that they will not or cannot fix. It has been to the dealership six time including the day I drove off with it an found its transmission slipping. Then to have them tell me there's nothing the can do about it. It infuriating. Where to start last September we went to this Ford dealer to buy a F-150 the sales guy was rude and cocky, made go on a long test drive before he would give me the out the door price. By the time we got back to the dealership he made us fill out a credit app even though we were paying cash he gave me a price much higher than the sticker price then told me the sticker price is just a starting price! So after that we left went online found the same truck for 19,000 cheaper in Idaho, plus they gave us great prices on custom work! Back to August 2015 had an appointment at 9am got here early and after waiting over 95 minutes and still waiting it will be my last visit to the worst ford dealer! It doesn't take more than 30 minutes to install a cover on a truck! With exception of Michael at the parts counter everyone here is rude and unprofessional! read more

I have a F350 that had a power problem when towing a light weight trailer(1500 lbs). I could only go 35 MPH on a hill. I took it to Capital and after a week the only thing they found was a dirty air filter, funny because I just had my truck serviced. The charge was $265.00 and the problem was not fixed. I took it back again with my trailer per their request and again they said there wasn't a problem. I then took it to Jones West and the same day before noon they said it was fixed and there was no charge, FREE. I have used the truck several time and it drives great! read more

I purchased my 2017 Ford Expedition at Capital Ford, and just brought it in for it's first scheduled service. I was promptly greeted and within a couple minutes I was off to the waiting room. It was a hot day so I was relieved to find the waiting room at a nice cool temperature. I had some work to do online so I appreciate the good and free wifi available. Before I knew it, my vehicle was finished, and I was given a verbal as well as written results of the servicing. My vehicle was brought to the front where I jumped in and was off. As good a car buying experience as I have ever had. My wife knew the kind of car she wanted and Capital Ford had it. I negotiated a price and trade in allowance before ever going down to see the car. They got the deal done QUICKLY!!!! The trade in allowance was exactly what they said (fair deal). Then the financing was far better than promised. We took the car home to Reno, couple of things needed to be fixed. Salesman came and picked up the car and brought it back when promised clean and with a full gas tank. They thought something was going on my vehicle because they saw antifreeze dripping from the weep hole on my 1998 Ford Ranger. They want to charge a diagnostic to determine the actual problem. Turns out something wasn't tightened properly which cause the leak and I found that out when I got to Oregon and went to someone more reputable. Still got hit with a diagnostic fee anyway but at least no maintenance work. Since that whole antifreeze weep hole incident I just haven't been back and just get my vehicle serviced locally in Reno, NV. read more

Here are the facts of how my experience went with Ford Service 2012 Ford Focus- Breaks down on 7/6 Call 7/6 to get an appointment- have to wait until 7/20 7/20 Bring in car 7/21- Call for Status, haven't looked at it. one hour later they call me and say it is fixed. Ask about stalling and issues driving, they are not aware of these. Ask to drive car to fix that it wasn't shifting correctly and stalled while I was getting on the freeway ( car is an automatic) 7/22 Test Drive Car find issues in Transmission, Tranmission tech which they only have one then leaves for a week 7/29 Trans tech returns. car gets looked at 8-10 weeks out for parts. They offer no rental car but assure you that you can pick up your broken car and drive. Needless to say I am going to pick up my broken car, am biting the bullet and will trade it in the way it is for a Honda or Toyota to no longer have to deal with Ford. I once thought that Mini of Reno was horrible for service but Ford I believe will make any other department look like shining stars. read more

After 6 test drives we headed back to our Tahoe house. We passed Capital Ford on the way home and saw a clean pre-owned truck. We had seen enough to know it was a jewel as far as cleanliness and low mileage. They came back at sticker and I countered with what I wanted out the door- Done! The dealership in Reno (not going to be named) was a terrible visit and the salespeople did not care to listen to me. I have also been talking with the internet sales representative from Carson (Heidi) and she has been wonderful and kept me updated with every new offer that came out. The recent offer of 0% financing is what brought me to see what they had. The salesperson (Bryan) listened to me and what I knew about the truck. The offer was reasonable and the process transparent. It was a busy day so it took a while but I drove home in my new truck. I currently own a 2004 F-150 FX4 with 177,000 miles and it was time to get a new truck.
