The website says they're open all day, which is misleading bc we went around 5 and the resturant wasn't open until 6. But anyway we waited until they opened. We were the only ones the entire time we were there, which was a shock because the resturant is decent looking inside and the food was pretty good. Although the food took about forty minutes, the service was good - they kept coming over to see if we were okay and needed anything else. We ordered the honey lemon pepper wings, which I wish we could've gotten before the potatoes. Anywho, the wings were fresh and tasted good. My partner for the miles Davis potato and I got the Sammy Davis potato. The potatoes were sooo good and very filling! I think it was worth the price. I would go back here and try something different. I came, I saw, I conquered! I was informed about this business by an individual in a black-owned business group that I'm in on Facebook and I was dying to try it! I'm so glad that I did, it was a fantastic venture. The location is in a very busy area, but there is a parking lot directly next to it which makes the visit also convenient! I called my order and 15 minutes ahead of time, but sadly I still had to wait 25 minutes for my food. It wasn't a difficult wait, because they had videos playing on the screen in there as well as a nice wide open and clean bar to sit at while I waited. Conversation with the young lady that was working (Ms. Cookie) was pretty good too. Everyone there was quite kind. 1-2 other workers happened to walk by while my colleagues and I sat and waited for our food. Once our food came out, all of the oooo's and ahhhh's began! My colleague got two of their popular baked potatoes, the Miles Davis & Dizzy Stuffed. Oh my goodness they were so tasty, you know I had to taste them! I purchased a fish sandwich which was made with Whiting and was a very reasonably priced at $6 as well as a chicken box which were 4 wings & an order of fries. All perfectly seasoned & prepared!! I also ordered a strawberry lemonade. Every single food/ beverage mentioned was so unimaginably good that I cannot wait to return and wait however long it will it take for all of this yumminess! I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I would give it a 3.5 stars. I definitely feel that it could have been executed better. I ordered the Sammie Davis Stuffed Potato. I love the concept of the dish, but the salmon was overcooked (a bit dry) and there was very little crab meat. I also feel that there could have been a bit more seasoning, but that could depend on who you are. Pros are that the salmon was a good size, and the shrimp were a good size as well. I had seen a friend of mines on Instagram post the salmon burger & it looked good. So i proceeded to ask where she was. Surprisingly she said Capital Lounge. So my curiosity lead me to there. The service & new makeover was impressive. My waitress was nice & constantly checking to see if we needed anything. The shots where a nice size & price. Didn't feel like i was getting ripped off. The food didn't take at all & it was nice, hot, & good. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Plus it was only $9 which this day & age is unbeatable. My husband and I are visiting the city, and its pretty late. We look and see Capital Lounge is still open and we can get food. We got food that apparently they had to grow and cook because it took entirely too long to be ready. I ordered the fish meal, and received no fish my husband ordered a steak and cheese with all the toppings, and got steak on a hoagie roll. We also ordered drinks and they did not arrive either. Of the food we did receive it was just ok. Yams were too sweet, there was too much broth in my greens and the famous people potatoes looked like a cheesy goulash. Everything I've gotten from them has been delicious and they manage to stay crispy even after delivery! Fish was fried perfectly ..little salty but who doesn't like seasoned fish!!! Yams were good as well..sweet enough for me. Banana pudding was ok. Didn't have enough cookies in it for me and had too much pudding in it. Ordered a half n half and the delivery driver didn't get it. Fried chicken was not fried all the way, Mac and cheese salty with no cheese, yams look like dog shit, seafood platter small with overcooked shrimp nasty rice no crab. They ran out of potato salad, didn't tell me, just gave nothing until I called and said I was on my way. Only decent things were the pudding that was free because of the potato salad issue and lemonade. Both were filled with sugar though. Ordered delivery from here today. Only complaint is that I ordered a strictly seafood baked potato and they gave me the one with both seafood and chicken. However, the potato is DELICIOUS and it's a HUGE portion. I also got sides of green beans and greens. The green beans are awesome (I'm picky about my green beans too because they're my favorite veggie). Greens are good as well but flavor profile is a little bit sweet for my taste (I prefer salty/savory).
