They worked quickly, finished the job and left. They were very communicative and responsive until I paid them and soon after I was told they were very busy. That's fine with me - in fact I let them know I am patient and could give them a little time to come back. Running a small business is hard. Had the job gone perfectly, there would be no issue. Unfortunately, 4 weeks later, I have soft and brittle patches (poor mix? poor compaction?) on my driveway that I could pick apart with my bare hands if I wanted to. When I reached out to let them know they completely stopped returning my calls and I even had the employee that took my money order block my number after following up once. I even called and emailed the owner and when I couldn't even get him to call me back the writing was on the wall - this is what they do. They will give you a paper that guarantees their work (mine had something crazy like 5 years) but I think it's clear that it isn't worth the paper it's printed on. I now have quality issues on my brand new driveway that I will now need to pay a real reputable contractor to fix. I suppose they are playing the odds that you won't go to the trouble of filing a formal complaint or taking legal action. I took a chance on this company because the quote was the lowest and they were able to start right away. I now feel a responsibility to tell anyone reading this that I would have gladly paid 25-30% more to not have soft pits of loose material in my driveway and to work with honest people that do what they say they are going to do. Live and learn I guess... Bottom Line: I can't get into the heads of people that work without any regard for their reputation or their character, but they are out there and you don't want to work with them. Go with anyone else that has reviews and a reputation and don't fall for the low quote. It's not worth it.

Since we bought our home a year ago, we've had several signs of roof leaks and have used a number…read moreof different companies to make repairs. The other companies charged a lot of money for spot fixes in very small areas of the roof that ultimately didn't solve our issues, or they quoted us a huge sum of money to replace our entire roof. This past week, we had extremely heavy rains and saw water dripping from a can light in an area that a previous company was supposed to have fixed. I put out a request on Yelp and skyline was among the first to respond. Frank called and offered to come immediately to take a look, even though it was quite late. They identified the area that needed remediation and quoted a fair price to fix it, plus the rest of the trouble spots on my roof. I knew we had more rain coming in a few days, so the job had to be completed quickly. The next morning, Frank's crew showed up and quickly made progress, but they also noticed something that no other roofing company had - they opened up the roof to find structural issues where 2 skylights had not been installed properly, and rafters were cracked. This explained why previous spot fixes hadn't resolved the issue. Again, Frank quoted a fair price to resolve this structural issue. They proceeded and did the work quickly, in time to finish before the next waves of rain came, including even cutting back a branch that was risking damaging a section of the roof. They provided before / during / after photos. The roof looks excellent, solving the one major issue, as well as doing maintenance work on many other areas of the roof that now look brand new. Throughout my experience, the one thing that stood out more than anything was Frank's responsiveness and communication. He was incredibly fast and responsive, took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me think through my repair options, and was available and responsive constantly throughout the job and at all hours of the day and night. I can't thank Frank and skyline roofing enough for their help. They'll be the first company I call the next time we need help with our roof and gutters!

09/24/25 - My front stair was in need of repair. My existing stair has a concrete base. The…read moreexisting concrete stair was covered w/an epoxy finish w/aggregate embedded in the epoxy base. Over the years the base started to chip & deteriorate. I was suppose to have the original contractor come out & refinish the coat every year or every other year, unfortunately this company went out of business. I saw an ad for a different type of flooring w/a polyaspartic base coat which is suppose to be more durable than epoxy. After an estimate & deposit was made w/Comer & Cross came out started grinding the existing coat off. After an hour of grinding my stair they told me they couldn't do the job because a corner of the concrete was chipped and they don't do concrete work. WTF? After I went through this fiasco w/Comer & Cross. My buddy told me about JL Concrete Design in Addison. I called them and spoke to Julia who was very helpful & friendly. She sent Joe out to take a look at the stair the next day. After inspecting the stair he gave me a quote, scheduled a repair. Joe came out as planned & finished the stair in less than1 day.

Owner is now backtracking his original statements trying to avoid any responsibility. For $4,000 this is shoddy workmanship.
