MY FELLOW YELPERS!! BEWARE of this FALSE advertising, unprofessional, con of a company!!!! The most unprofessional BS- snake oil company I've ever dealt with!! Other reviews say the same! Nothing but stress and damage comes out of these guys. If you want to find your furniture broken and a liar as the owner (Joey), who is not insured, and makes false advertisement claims of his employees being trained for 6 months, and not get damaged furniture repaired, then this is the perfect company for you! They were over an hour late and I requested two strong guys. They sent me one guy that was ok and an obese chick that had no strength or experience! Their excuse for being late: Only one Budget rental truck available when they got there and the lift on it was squeaking. No call to update me AT ALL! I had a deadline to meet. I hopped on the phone with Joey prior to the move date and told him that his movers needed to be experience with disassembling my table because I won't be paying for them to learn and it's a difficult one, unless they had prior experience with this type of table and requested two very strong guys to carry the dresser down the staircase. Sent a list of items and pics prior to the move out date. They get there and the girl doesn't even have tape nor tape gun and she doesn't even know how to package boxes. They arrived with only three small sun damaged boxes that looked like they picked it up in the back of a supermarket on the floor, ZERO shrink wrap, ZERO wardrobe boxes like they advertised, ONE protective blanket,and VERY late. Joey arrived on location two hours after the scheduled time to bring a few wardrobe boxes but still no shrink wrap or additional blankets. Should've known he was a liar since he tried to make excuses that it's not their responsibility to bring it when it clearly states on their ad, quotes, and invoices. Because everything was already packed and they simply needed to load, it should have only taken roughly 1 hour to load at MAX. Instead they took over 3 hours to load because the truck wasn't the right size and the girl was inexperienced and useless. Joey Pineda might put up an overly nice guy act but you'll find out soon enough he's uneducated, unprofessional, and a con. They broke my mirror leg, scraped my $5000 bed set, broke my plants, broke my blinds, assembled my bed incorrectly and had to redo the entire assembly, and they dragged my $5,000 Stern's & Foster mattress on the EFFIN street!!! NONE OF my furniture was wrapped and protected except for two pieces. Found my broken plant bulbs the next day inside another pot where they tried to hide it and in the garage on other boxes. At first he said he would take care of everything but now he's trying to get crafty and figure out ways to weasel of out of this. I have dozens of text messages and emails with his response changing and now he doesn't want to pay for damages and tried to say I'm committing "Hard Fraud" when I have evidence to validate my claims! It was apparent to me that he was trying to buy time and he will continue to make up excuses. Now in a desperate effort he says that what I have done is called "Hard Fraud" and for me not to worry because he's not going to contact an attorney. LMFAO! First of all this is the most slanderous way to try to get out of having to cover damages. 2. He still hasn't sent me his insurance company name. If he was actually insured this would not be a problem and the insurance would handle this, not him right? 3. Now I see other reviews claiming the exact same issues that I have but the difference is that the damages done to my furniture is much more than theirs so he repaired theirs or refunded a small amount but not mine bc he's NOT INSURED PEOPLE!!! Do not be fooled by this company nor by Joey Pineda. I will provide all of the documents after I sue these conartists. Upon threat of a small claims, he ended up BLOWING up my phone on a Saturday but failed to text or call me every scheduled time prior that. I'm going to report him to the attorney general, the BBB, have his business investigated, and I'm going to sue him. Taxes - Let's see if he's compliant with labor code and correct tax filings. I will happily forward the step-by-step instructions for anyone who wants to get retribution for being screwed over. You can be entitled to more than the furniture damage. UPDATE: My Table has Been Repaired by Capital Movers. I would like to start by pointing out that the five star rating reflects the work that Daniel has done to bring my table back to its glory. I still stand by my original post and NOT RECOMMEND the moving company to handle your valuables. As mentioned in the previous post, this could have been avoided if more care was taken during the moving process. Here comes the POSITIVE note: Daniel from Capital Movers was extremely helpful in communicating with me on a daily basis on the status of the repair process. Although i booked my move with Jason at least 3 weeks in advance, the day of the move all i received was a phone call from Rolph who was supposed to be at my house at 3:00 then another phone call saying it would be at 4:00, another call saying it would be 5:00. and final call at 6:00 saying they couldn't make it, but they would be back in the morning. They loaded one pod and said they would be back. No one showed up. After leaving messages for Jason and Wes, they did not call back until i said i would leave a review about what i had just went thru. I had to pay premium Weekend price to get another moving company to move me on Sunday. I would never recommend this company, ever especially if you have to move on a certain date. read more

I requested a quote via yelp and within 5 minutes got a call from Joey. He was very peppy on the phone and scheduled our move for 11:00 on a Saturday (a time that he requested). His rate was similar to other quotes I got, but he called back first, so we went with him. I didn't receive a confirmation text/call so I called him the day before to confirm and he assured me that three movers would be at our home at 11am... Fast forward to Saturday at 11:30 when the movers were still NOT at my home and I had heard nothing! I called Joey to check in and he initially began making excuses and trying to explain...he then said the movers were still at another move and wouldn't be at our home until 3:00pm (FOUR HOURS LATE). He text me with a slightly discounted rate for the inconvenience and I responded asking him to confirm they would be at our home at 3:00...and I never heard back from him. Thankfully, Nick, one of the movers called me and communicated very well with us the rest of the day! (This is the only positive in this experience) At 4:30pm, three movers arrived with a Budget rental truck and began moving our stuff. Nick and Daniel were great! Very professional and got right to work and clearly knew what they were doing and worked great together (they should have their own company)! However, Joey then also showed up to my house, allegedly to apologize. He attempted to apologize; however, when I asked what his role was in the company, he was vague. I requested to speak to his supervisor...he stood in MY home and said, he would have his supervisor call me. Shortly after I learn that HE is the owner and this is HIS company! What??? How dare you stand IN MY house and lie to me? After I found this out and called Joey to demand an explanation, he again was vague. I explained clearly that I would NOT be paying for his horrible service, though we would pay the movers directly, in cash, for their time. He had the nerve to send me a text mentioning a non disclosure agreement! I assume because he didn't want me to post this review??? Honestly, this put me over the edge! The service was 5 1/2 hours late. The communication was non-existent. You lie to my face. And then you ask me not to tell anyone??? Yeah, right! Oh, and then he text me at nearly 1:00AM saying he refunded my deposit! Thanks...but did you need to text me in the middle of the night about this? No! It just kept getting worse! Moving dayyyy. The worst possible day of your life.. do you agree.. yes or yes. I was absolutely dreading this day when my lease expired at park grove (CRAPPY PLACE.. but that's a review for another day). They told us so last minute that the lease was expiring.. which I know is also my fault for not keeping up. But GEEZ can't you give us a few reminders prior to the month. Anyways, I was complaining to the nearest ears I could get ahold of, and they recommended this place. I REALLY don't trust movers because they're usually hulky dudes who care less about your things and more about the payout.. Welllll Capital movers ! Five stars! You guys definitely deserve this review. Thanks to them , my things went from point A to point B nice and sound. They even wrap everything up so perfectly and neatly.. away from all the dust and stuff..! I truly appreciate this.. thanks guys! No damage to my items and no worries. Moving is very stressful so I was very relieved when the process went very well with these movers. The movers were polite and friendly and got the job done quickly and efficiently. My only complaint was the truck was far too big for the requested job so we had a hard time finding a place to park it. But that was only a very minor inconvenience. I had a really good experience with Capital Movers. I recently moved from Ontario, CA to Garden Grove, CA. Joey was among the first to contact me with a quote and availabilities and I thought it was very reasonable. He was very personable and very polite which I appreciated immensely (I've had bad experiences with movers in the past so trust me!). Due to my new condo's ridiculous HOA rules and my hectic work schedule, I could only move on on a Saturday which tend to be the busiest days. Most companies would not have that kind of availability at such a short notice, Instead, Joey managed to find a slot for me and called/texted me to confirm multiple times. I even got calls/updates from the movers themselves on the day I was scheduled to move. The day of the move went very smoothly. The two guys that came were nothing short of professional and extremely efficient. Everything was done in record time and very carefully. I made several inquiries on Yelp for pricing and availability to move a heavy safe from downstairs to upstairs. Joey responded promptly and with a fair price. I did not make a decision quickly. However about one week later, I decided to go with Capital Movers because the pricing was the best. So, I called Joey to set a date and time. We set an appointment over the phone (he answered even though it was after 5:30pm). The next morning, the crew arrived on time, they were clear about the fast, handled my very heavy with care. Found Capitol Movers through the Uhaul website and they did an excellent job. From second we confirmed their service online, they called us to schedule a time. They were on time and even came with plastic to wrap our furniture. It only took them about 45mins- 1hour to load all of our stuff for a 1 bedroom apartment. AMAZING! The owner Joey was very hands on. I felt genuinely cared about as if I was a part of the family versus a business transaction. I had two jobs with this company on the same day. Paul and Daniel did a great job! I had a fridge, washer and dryer, a desk and a big couch. They moved it all carefully and put it right where I asked, even when inconvenient. On the day of our move the uhaul corporate computer system crashed & we couldn't get our truck. this co. Wouldn't wait 30 min for the co to fix it. Had to resched move for following day. Then these movers showed up 2 hours late, did not know what they were doing, were not professional & moved extremely slow. One mover showed up with his wife & kids in the car... ? When we got to the new location I was informed by the co. owner that the 2 movers didn't feel like driving to the new location to unload & that the owner himself was going to come help us unload, but that he had hit a car on his way & wanted us to wait an hour while he figured out the car accident. To sum up we were left stranded & a perfectly organized move was a nightmare & we had to do everything ourselves, & then they still wanted to charge us!! Very bad & unprofessional.
