Today we I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor with the help of Señors Simon and Walter did an excellent job moving furniture. The price was reasonable without sacrificing safety. Some of my family is fluent in Spanish which helped the speed of communication but I wouldn't worry if you do not have a fluent speaker. Very pleased with my service. read more

FYI their moving license is suspended and they have an "F" rating with the Better business Bureau. Also, public health warning -in the middle of a covid spike the movers aren't wearing masks. After living in Los Angeles for 15 years I've had to move at least a few times. This is by far the worst experience ever. Before I go on, Jorge there is a crook. Maybe there are other people there better but do not deal with this man. He quoted me two- three hours for a one bedroom in town move. Didn't answer many of my questions. Just told me anything to get the deal. I received no confirmation email and multiple texts asking me to send my address even though I had done so already. This was the first red flag as he seemed unorganized to say the least. Once the two guys got there for the move they said it would be more like 4 hours opposed to 3. Whatever. Fine. Again another chance to adjust the quote. Side note they had no equipment. I used my own wrapping tape. Jorge claimed they would bring all packing material. They didn't even bring a mattress cover and me bed is now filthy and ruined. After helping them and breaking my back moving, it ended up taking six hours and they charged me for seven. Jorge kept calling me this entire time harassing me because I was complaining about the extras and stating I was going to leave a review on this experience. The 2 movers then go to the wrong address which adds another 45 minutes and then proceed to charge me for that time. And double it because drive time is "double." Here's where it gets really unprofessional - they took my garage remote opener to get out of the first building and left without giving me a receipt or reimbursing me the one hour that I was overcharged on - because they wouldn't unload my furniture until I pre pay. I was literally asking for a receipt and told sorry as they drive off and laughed. Jorge started to say some vulgar things via the phone and told me tough luck and that I should "go call the police." Which even though it's only a $40 garage remote I am inclined to do that in addition to a small claims court case. They ruined a $700 couch and wouldn't even bring it upstairs. After dealing with many used car salesman and enterprise Rent-A-Car, I thought no one could be shadier. I was wrong. These guys are the sleaziest in the LA area. They literally took the receipt so it would be harder for me to file in small claims court. A few hours later we noticed one of our electronic boxes didn't make the move. Crazy that it was the one with Bose headphones and electronics. I'm thinking that's why they went to the "wrong" address to possibly go through our boxes because they were mad I had complained to the boss. read more

I was hoping to have a great experience with this company, but my move took a sour turn. My partner and I scheduled our move a month in advance with Less 4 Movers. We confirmed 8am for June 1st weeks prior, a few days in advance, and the day before. We were quoted $358 for 3 hours. However, our hourly rate was $115. If you're curious to how that math works, it doesn't. 8am rolls around on 6/1 and the movers have yet to arrive. 9am, 10am, 11am, goes by with no contact from the owner or his team. Every hour we called at least once to get an update on their status. Red flag #1 was the owner always having a rushed response and never actually listening to the customer. He constantly said "they'll be there in 1 hour", "they'll be there in 45 minutes", etc. but time continued to go on. Our movers arrived around 2:30pm. My partner and I made sure to arrange all of our packed items against the wall and have everything prepared for our 8am move. However, we waited 6 HOURS for our movers to arrive. The owner kept mentioning we had an 11am-1pm arrival time, but our text messages and phone calls say otherwise. Let's get into the move. This establishment has a "double drive time" rule, meaning they charge you double for the drive to your house. We moved 3.9 miles away. Our commute around 10am would have been 10 minutes. Our commute at 4:30pm turned into 35+ minutes. We called the owner prior to the movers arrival to ensure that we would NOT be charged double for the drive time since they arrived 6 hours late and their lateness is what would increase our total drive time. The drivers show up, check everything out, and get to work. Honestly, this review is solely focused on management/ownership and not the movers. The movers started at 2:30pm and worked fairly quickly. They finished moving everything into the truck around 4:30pm and then we were off to the new location. This now puts us at 2 hours of labor. I trailed the drivers as they drove to the new location and we eventually arrived at the new spot. This was approximately a 30 minute drive. Remember though, we are not supposed to be charged double due to them making us now move during rush hour traffic in Los Angeles. The movers asked where I wanted things placed, set everything up, and eventually finished. They began unloading around 5pm and completed the job by 6:30pm. Here's where everything really went downhill. The final calculation of the movers service was 3 1/2 hours of labor and 30 minutes of driving. This should have totaled $115 x 3 1/2 = $402.50 for their labor and 30 minutes of drive time $57.50 (NO "DOUBLE TIME" DUE TO THEIR LATENESS) for a grand total of $460. The mover wrote up the receipt and told me the total was going to be $575 I was very confused and asked for a complete breakdown. He pulled his calculator out again and then gave me an estimate of $517. At this point, the quote kept fluctuating and I let my partner handle the communications. The mover told us that his boss just put them on this job and we either needed to pay or contact the owner. And of course we contacted the owner because we would not be paying money that they were not owed. My partner is on the phone with the owner and they are going back and forth on phone calls between the owner, mover, and us. Eventually, the owner gets back on the call with my partner and starts to cuss and say "you people" etc. We are very patient people and not the type to sit as someone disrespects us. The owner says f**k you several times and then hangs up in my partners face. Things began to escalate and the mover said to just pay him the $460 so they can go. I immediately wanted these men out of my house after the blatant disrespect and prejudices shown by the owner. The $460 was paid and they left. My partner and I sat in the living room for about an hour discussing how this move turned into a hellish experience. As I read other reviews, it is no surprise my move turned out the way it did. Towards the end of the night I noticed some scratches on my nightstand. I figured it was maybe my boyfriend's nightstand because mine was never scratched up. Nonetheless, our nightstands also got scratched up along the way. It looks like a toddler took a knife to the top of them...and I have no kids. After our experience earlier, I did not have the energy to contact this establishment any longer. Overall, beware of this company and it's management. No matter if the movers do their job, they answer to someone higher up and this person can make your move a living nightmare. read more

They came and did a great, fast job, and then told my husband the cost was $425 - no idea why the increase. Very frustrated at this company. To start, they told me a specific window time to arrive 12-2pm, and they were late. After they arrived, they took a look a the apartment and went downstairs. Took them a very long time to come back and get started, which the hours were already counting. We had to stop by a place on the way to my new place (which was literally 7min away) and they told me they had deduct 30min for some reason. Last thing I know is that I had to pay for 4 hours even though they left my place at 5:30 and they got started after 2:30pm. Only to find out they broke my new 50" TV when I turned it on. The day of the move, Jorge called and confirmed the time two hours earlier than originally stated and then the movers showed up another hour earlier because their first appointment rescheduled. Prior to this move, my mom used this company and the experience was great, hence our reason for using them again, but this time was not so great and the mover argued with me and said he was in charge. Wow. And I do mean that in a bad way.... In as few words as possible: my girlfriend and I were moving, about a week apart from each other, with roughly the same amount of stuff (I had a bit less) and all of the other logistics were about the same (my moving day and time were more flexible than hers). But when I called to schedule after her move was done, they tried quoting me at a much higher price. I told the guy over the phone what she'd paid and he eventually locked it in at the same price. He was very obviously just making it up, based on his feeling that day. So he sends me the confirmation email with the agreed upon pricing and then moving day arrives... Up to this point, I hadn't received any confirmation or anything so I called on the morning of, to make sure everything was still good to go-- as is, there are enough Yelp reviews claiming of no-shows that I had some reasonable concerns. And my concerns were only exacerbated when, on the morning of my move, nobody was answering the phone. I called and called and called until I finally remembered that my girlfriend had a different number (not listed on their site), that she'd been communicating with on the day of her move. I called and I was thankfully able to get through at that number. But when I went to confirm time and pricing with the guy, he tried quoting me the higher price again. The time was also several hours later than previously agreed upon, but whatever, I didn't have that far to go anyway. So I started explaining to him I have an email with a different price, and he just said "I don't care. This is the price" And I was like, "ok well hold up, it's not the price that we agreed upon". And then to everything I'd say, he started responding over and over "Don't worry." Eventually, I was like "I'm not worried, it's just not what I'm agreeing to now" and then he delivered the best line of the day, and what should probably be the slogan for Less-4-Movers: "It's ok. You don't need to cry about it". I said "Errrr, excuse me?" And he then repeats, "Stop crying, you big baby". I said "I don't understand", and he explains "You can stop crying you crybaby, I give you the price in the email". At which point I just started laughing. "Cool thanks". I was honestly a bit concerned he might cancel my booking altogether, but he didn't. His guys showed up an hour late, broke some of my things, and were otherwise fine I guess. Should be additionally noted, that when moving my girlfriend's things they lost an entire box of irreplaceable keepsakes, but we're pretty nice guys. So all in all, these dudes earned all one of their stars. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. Booked with less 4 movers with plenty of notice. Confirmed with them the day before the move that they would be there, they assured me they would. Confirmed again the day of and was told they would be there between 1-3pm. 3pm rolls around and I get some song and dance about them being tied up somewhere and that they would be there in the morning. I said forget it and hired a different company that came within an hour and got the move done on the day I needed it done. Then I get two voicemail cussing me out calling me a "Bit**" and a "bastarda" which I have saved because they showed up a day late and a dollar short. I hired the movers 6/30/2022. I've hired this company 4 times in the last 2 years, and left a prior review for AMAZING SERVICE.... it has always been $285 each time. Now all of a sudden it's $375. I asked about it and the owner lowered it to $360, fine whatever. I was told they would be at my house at 2:30pm to start the move. They showed up almost 2 hours early with no notice. My sister contacted the owner to ask what was going on and the OWNER of the company told my sister they would be there at 2:30, called her "a stupid fucking bitch" and hung up the phone. As I was at work in court, I texted both the movers who showed up and the owner - the owner stated they do not belong to the company. The movers stated that the owners phone number was in fact their boss. Once it was raised that he called my sister disrespectful names and hung up, the movers stated they wouldn't continue unless they were paid first. I then called the owner and he acted like he had no idea what happened, laughed at everything I said, interrupted me every time I began speaking, continued to say "I don't understand" as a response to everything and denied everything, insisting that those movers are not his company and he doesn't know me, but then proceeded to tell me he would not give my money back and asked "what money." It is completely inappropriate to speak to paying customers this way and he is completely illiterate to begin with. Overall the workers were great. They arrived at the scheduled time and got to work right away. Our one and only issue was that the truck didn't fit all our stuff. When I called to hire them I stated we were a Tri-level home with 3 bedrooms, living room,kitchen and garage, which all needed to be moved. When they arrived, the driver, Simon assessed all our belongings and informed me they were told it was a 2 bedroom and that it would require two trips to move all our stuff. I declined and asked him to load up all the big and heavy items and as much as possible from our garage. In total we had three guys loading the truck, that includes Simon, however he had a bad leg and halfway or so he stopped bringing items down to the truck but assisted with them once they were loaded into the truck by the other two guys. I felt that made the process take a bit longer. Did they get the job done? absolutely! and the other two guys, Ricardo and Carlos (I think,was his name) busted their butts unloading and were extremely helpful in putting items where I needed them. Why only 4 stars? because we had to rent a truck to move the remainder of our items the next day, ourselves. I read the reviews prior to hiring them and hired them regardless because they were highly recommended by our friends. I didn't have a bad experience as the negative reviews state, Jorge was polite and all went well, with the exception of the truck not being big enough for all our belongings. read more

My move went so smoothly. I will definitely call Less 4 Movers again. There price was better than any other company I got a quote from. The crew showed up on time and quickly loaded my items, while always asking questions to ensure that items going to my first destination and second destination were properly identified and separated. The unload went smoothly. The whole move took 3 hours so I had the rest of the day to figure out if I wanted to attempt unpacking boxes. Also changed my quote at least 3X in the process. Scheduled them for a move from a storage unit to a 2 story house. The supervisor scheduled me for 12:30 w/ a 3 man crew. 12:30 rolled around and he said they ran into some delays and would update me. An hour later he let me know the delay would be until 4:30 and I agreed but let him know the storage unit would be closing at 6:45. He assured me they would for sure be there. 2 HOURS later he called again saying they were delayed until 5 but it would be an easy job out of an easy access storage unit and his guys could get it done in the allotted time. I told him through text and over the phone the size of the storage unit ( 10X30). FINALLY, at 5:30 pm his guys showed up, took a look at the storage and told me their supervisor told them it was a 10X20 and they wouldn't have enough time to get it complete. Granted nothing was stacked on top , just ground level of the storage. I called the supervisor and he ignored the phone call and texted saying he was too busy to answer phone calls. I tried to stay polite and text him the situation and ask if their were any movers for the following day and he ignored me. I had a great experience moving from Long Beach to Alhambra with Less 4 Movers. It was a last minute move and they were able to accommodate me for a new year day move. They showed up with two guys who worked fast! Total move time loading a two bedroom house sans dining set was 3.5 hours and I paid $297 plus tip. These guys worked hard, were very professional and were fast. They were so polite and even took apart my fridge to see if we could make it fit into the kitchen (it couldn't) and even helped reassemble it. We've never hired movers before, and we will never move without them again! The two men who were assigned to our move were fantastic. They were kind, very thoughtful with our items, and really hard workers. I was amazed at how carefully they navigated moving items around corners, avoiding any scuffs or dents in walls or furniture pieces. They also will grab everything for you. We had plenty of items that just didn't make it into a bag or box by moving day, and they had no problems placing them into their own boxes they provided to bring over to the new place. They were fast and efficient and always courteous towards us. One thing to keep in mind ahead of time: you're given a window of time for their arrival rather than a set time. We learned our window was between 11-1:30 when we confirmed the day before, and they arrived at 12:25. Just good to know for booking in case you have a specific timeframe you need. read more
