I came for the MLB Mondays (I came 5 minutes before opening and was one of the first people). I'm sure staff know that most people have the MLB Monday card so the line goes by pretty quickly. They have a spacious interior to chill, do work, etc. They are located by La La Land/Fogo de Chao - ish. I got the seasonal blueberry Ube matcha and it was pretty deep in flavor and came out quickly. **At the time, they didn't have restrooms for guests. I've been coming to the Capital One Café for a while now, and it's a great place to grab a drink or a bite while getting some work done. On my latest visit, I ordered the Island Spritz, which was refreshing, along with the avocado toast, which is always a solid choice. My only suggestion would be to offer a gluten free bread option. I think it would be a great addition for people with dietary restrictions. The only downside is that it's gotten much busier lately. Finding a table can be a challenge if you're planning to work from the café, especially on Mondays when they have their special promotion. The morning line gets pretty long, so if you're looking for a quieter experience, I'd recommend visiting earlier or choosing a different day. As I sat in the café, I noticed she interacted with several other customers in a similarly abrupt manner, so it didn't seem like my experience was an isolated one. I also observed her discussing a recent interaction with one of the baristas in front of customers in a way that came across as unprofessional. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. We always stop by the Irvine Spectrum Capital One Cafe for a cold tea at 1/2 off pricing. Its very roomy inside, lots of mix and match of furniture. The outside seating is usually open so its nice they have that option. Great drink choices too, always something new to try and for 1/2 off that's such a great deal. There is limited restrooms so that's a downside, but there are the public restrooms within the Spectrum so not a big deal. We haven't tried any of the food but there are several snacks to choose from. The staff are friendly. read more

No monthly fees. No minimum balance. A decent savings rate. Sounds perfect, right? Well... not quite. I recently came in to make a deposit, and the whole experience was just frustrating. I was stuck behind someone at the ATM who was taking forever, only to realize the machine wasn't working and wouldn't accept his deposit. Thankfully there was a Loomis employee working on the ATM next to it, so I asked if she could help. At first she said no, but then mentioned she could try resetting it. Luckily that seemed to fix the issue, and we were finally able to move forward. The bigger problem is just how painfully slow these machines are. Every single step takes forever. For a bank this size, you'd think they would invest in faster, more reliable ATMs. The screen proudly says you can deposit up to 200 bills at once, which sounds impressive... except I only inserted around 20 bills and it still rejected a few of them. The bills weren't old, wrinkled, or damaged either, they were perfectly fine. I ended up having to feed the remaining bills in individually, and with how slow the machine processes everything, the deposit took way longer than it should have. Another disappointing change: the restroom that used to be available for customers is now marked "employees only." Small thing maybe, but it definitely doesn't make the branch feel very customer-friendly. The banking perks are great on paper, but the in-person experience is a whole different story. read more

If you haven't yet I highly recommend trying the island spritz drink! It was delicious. It is one of their summer drinks and is a sparkling beverage made with pineapple and coconut cold foam (made from coconut cream) and finished with a hint of Tajín. YUM. Their summer mocha drink is really good as well. FYI get there no later than 8pm on Mondays if you intend to get the free drink for MLB Monday's - they stop allowing people to get in line for it around 8:20pm (or earlier) despite having a closing time of 9pm. read more

Convenient location and been wanting to stop in here. As I was at the Irvine Spectrum recently, I came on in to grab a chilled Matcha drink. It was made well and was good tasting. Staff are efficient here, though didn't come off with high energy here, they were just sufficient as baristas. Good drinks are promised. Though this cafe is waaay packed with UCI students, corporate baddies, and other visitors, depending when you come in, you'll have a little trouble finding any tables here because they are taken up pretty quickly. So, because there's only like a 25% chance getting a table or a chair here, this spot only gets 4 stars. If they could limit table times during busy hours, maybe it can a higher rating. read more

One big thing if you have a $10,000.00 Credit limit then a 200.00 balance So you pay the 200.00 then they change Your available credit to 10,000.00. This coffee shop turned out better than I expected for a quick coworking session. I meet up with a few of the girls to enjoy a good drink and get some work done. We came in around 10am and the place was already busy. We had to sit on the outside tables which were actually more enjoyable than expected. The California weather was great- although I may not necessarily recommend it during the rain. They have private rooms that you can book ahead of time for you and your team or they have at least one more that its first come first serve. This way, you don't have to worry about finding a spot where all your team can seat together. If you have a Capital One card know that you get a % off the menu. Its a good deal. I cant remember if its 40 or 50% off. I had their matcha and cardamom drink. It was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Overall, I recommend this spot and I will probably be back to enjoy another drink from their menu and get some work done. read more

I stop by Capital One Cafe a few times a year, when I'm at the Irvine Spectrum. I have two different types of credit card from Capital One but always forget about their 50% off specials until I receive their email reminder. The Cafe is open to everyone and you don't have to be a Capital One customer to use their facility. But it's always full of people working on their computer and/or sitting around chatting because it is a great location at the Irvine Spectrum. I usually get the Honey Lavender Latte. I can't really taste the lavender in the coffee but it's fine for a quick pick me up if you need the caffeine and some sugar on the go. read more

Stopped by the Capital One Café at Irvine Spectrum while taking a break from shopping. The café itself is spacious, clean, and a nice place to sit down, recharge your phone, or get some work done for a bit. Definitely a convenient spot if you need a quiet break from the crowds. The drinks were a mixed experience. Since they serve Verve Coffee, I was expecting a better espresso. Unfortunately, both the espresso and the Americano tasted more bitter than I prefer which was a little disappointing. On the other hand, the cold Ube drink we ordered was surprisingly good and ended up being our favorite. It was refreshing, well-balanced, and much more enjoyable than the hot coffee. Overall, it's a comfortable café with a great location, but the coffee quality didn't quite meet my expectations considering the beans they use. I'd probably come back for a cold drink and the relaxing atmosphere, but I'd skip the espresso next time. read more

I used this as an opportunity to not only enjoy a FREE coffee but to try Capital One Cafe for the first time. I've had friends introduce the place to me before, since then I've been to this Cafe twice. I didn't expect the cafe to look to beautiful on the inside the first time I came. It's a nice banking/cafe where people can come in to work, hang out, and enjoy the peace and quiet. I noticed many people there on their laptops working which lets me know this cafe is targeted for this type of atmosphere. I've visited twice. Shirley helped me the first time. She explained to me how the Coffee Pass worked, which drinks were included and that I could even try seasonal drinks with the pass too! She made my mocha generously FULL which is why I had to use two cups haha. Thanks Shirley for the extra coffee! The mocha was really good, I could have used a little sugar but overall I really loved the foam mixed with the flavor. I had to come back and get another one! I was heading back to San Diego from Irvine and wanted coffee. A quick Yelp search showed me that there was a capital one café nearby. I get emails for them and free offers occasionally so I thought I'd check it out. When I saw they were offering a MLB offer during game season of a free coffee I was excited to try it. I downloaded my offer to my wallet and was on my way. Parking was a breeze and I walked to the cafe. Upon entering, there was quite the line. I was greeted by the greeter upon joining the queue . She asked me questions like if I was there for the MLB promotion and did I need anything else or have any questions I did not but it was my since it was my first time to the capital one Café she pointed out the nuances and features that they offer. The line moved quickly, I placed my order and went to the back to wait for my drink. The café itself was packed with people working on their computers. There were no seats available. I had planned to get my drink to go anyway, but if I was coming to work, it wouldn't have worked out because no one was leaving. The wait for my drink was about 10 to 15 minutes. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry. They called my name and I grabbed my coffee and was on my way. It was strong, but it tasted good. I need to remember this option next time I'm going through La Jolla and stop at the capital one Café there. read more

Make sure to search up the QR code online first, it's pretty fast to do. Got myself a strawberry matcha and it was pretty good. Loved that the strawberry part was the cold foam on top because you usually don't see that, and it had plenty of strawberry flavor throughout the drink too. I got their signature honey lavender latte as a hot drink and it was delicious.  I also tried some of their seasonal drinks since we came in a group of 4. The s'mores shakerato was not my favorite since the chocolate didn't complement the coffee well, or maybe it was supposed to be a marshmallow flavor. The strawberry cold foam matcha wasn't bad at all but it's definitely on the sweet side so it's hard to finish unless you have a big sweet tooth. This review is based solely on my husband and I's interaction with Roger. I do not know what position he holds but yikes. Roger was who attended to us when we last came and was not at all helpful with what had brought us in but in fact the opposite. He spoke to us in a condescending manner like if he knew what he was talking about but in fact did not. His tone and demeanor stunk of arrogance and that is not customer friendly. General: This capital one cafe is located in Irvine spectrum. I've never been to a capital one cafe until my friend sent me a coupon to get a free drink one day. This is a cool cafe that is also a bank and is a great spot to chit chat or do some work. As a capital one card holder, you can get banking advice, or get half off drinks using your capital one card. You can even book a private study room type thing called a nook. If you're not a card holder, you can still enjoy the cafe. Parking: There is quite a few parking structures you can park at. I've never had any issues but it can get pretty busy. Parking is free and there is also valet. Food: I've never had any food here, however the drinks are pretty good. I've been coming pretty consistently almost every Monday since they had a free drink promo. My drinks changed but I've gotten their specialty drinks depending on the season and also just an iced caramel latte. They have whole, oat, and almond milk. In addition to drinks, they have some pastries, chips, and some food items. Service: their service is always spectacular. Everytime I come every cashier is extremely nice and smiling and overall very friendly. They ask you to have your coupon ready, but they're always working hard and just have great service. They almost always ask me if I want to make any adjustments and if I would like more syrup or anything. They're also very quick making drinks even though it gets pretty busy especially during the Monday promo. Ambiance: the cafe is usually pretty busy since lots of people come to study or do some work while grabbing a coffee. This isn't really somewhere I would go if I'm just hanging out, but somewhere to get down to business. Overall, I really enjoyed coming to capital one cafe and I hope there's more promos soon!
