What a great place to stop by! I've never gone inside a Capital One Cafe as I thought it was exclusive to cardholders / banking with them, but it's open to the public. I am coming from out of town for an afternoon appointment & was looking for a location to work for a little while & have a coffee / snack. This cafe is clean, has great space to sit & work on your computer or other devices WITH outlets (KEY!! IYKYK) My iced latte and poppy seed muffin both were a great snack to enjoy while I worked. No one bothered me & there wasn't any riff raff. I really appreciated the calm, clean & open environment where I could get off the road to take care of some work tasks while waiting for my appointment time. Thank you, Capital One Cafe! Love their seasonal drinks! We tried the tropical mocha & the island spritz. The coconut cream they put on top of the drinks was reallyyy good! I have a capital one card so we got our drinks 50% off. Irvine, Ca. If you are looking for food at the Spectrum, this is not too bad of an option. The line moves along well and the prep time is about 10 minutes. I got the roasted turkey club sandwich on a brioche bun. It tasted good but there are only 3 thin slices of turkey in there. There was supposed to be cheese also but there were none. Plenty of arugula though, perhaps rename it to arugula sandwich? The brioche is was too much bread for the sparse ingredients, the croissant is probably the better way to go. The ambiance here is like a busy office building, everyone is seriously working. The staff here are young and pleasant. This is the second Capital One Cafe I've been to, and I will say this location was much bigger. There are quite a few tables and a bar top for you to work or study at which is nice. It also looked like they had two small private rooms if you need more space for your study group. The coffee itself I thought was good. More Banks should do things like this. This is a fun Starbucks type Café with some banking services and two ATMs inside. If you have a Capital One bank account or credit card, including Discover and you pay with that Capital One card you get your coffee and snack snacks for half price. Sometimes they even have deals where you can get a free coffee, which is what we got when we went there and the coffee was great. I think because of the free coffee they were very busy, but the service was still good and the coffee was sprayed. Outer Banks should do something similar. read more

I came for the MLB Mondays (I came 5 minutes before opening and was one of the first people). I'm sure staff know that most people have the MLB Monday card so the line goes by pretty quickly. They have a spacious interior to chill, do work, etc. They are located by La La Land/Fogo de Chao - ish. I got the seasonal blueberry Ube matcha and it was pretty deep in flavor and came out quickly. **At the time, they didn't have restrooms for guests. I've been coming to the Capital One Café for a while now, and it's a great place to grab a drink or a bite while getting some work done. On my latest visit, I ordered the Island Spritz, which was refreshing, along with the avocado toast, which is always a solid choice. My only suggestion would be to offer a gluten free bread option. I think it would be a great addition for people with dietary restrictions. The only downside is that it's gotten much busier lately. Finding a table can be a challenge if you're planning to work from the café, especially on Mondays when they have their special promotion. The morning line gets pretty long, so if you're looking for a quieter experience, I'd recommend visiting earlier or choosing a different day. Came in the morning and there's decent seating around the cafe. Best time to come to Irvine Spectrum for parking is in the morning too so that's a plus. There was a line, but I think it's because of a Monday promotion they currently have with their cafes. I got a blueberry Ube matcha latte, which is part of their seasonal menu! The foam was so good and truly was a blend of blueberry and Ube. No monthly fees. No minimum balance. A decent savings rate. Sounds perfect, right? Well... not quite. I recently came in to make a deposit, and the whole experience was just frustrating. I was stuck behind someone at the ATM who was taking forever, only to realize the machine wasn't working and wouldn't accept his deposit. Thankfully there was a Loomis employee working on the ATM next to it, so I asked if she could help. At first she said no, but then mentioned she could try resetting it. Luckily that seemed to fix the issue, and we were finally able to move forward. The bigger problem is just how painfully slow these machines are. Every single step takes forever. For a bank this size, you'd think they would invest in faster, more reliable ATMs. The screen proudly says you can deposit up to 200 bills at once, which sounds impressive... except I only inserted around 20 bills and it still rejected a few of them. The bills weren't old, wrinkled, or damaged either, they were perfectly fine. I ended up having to feed the remaining bills in individually, and with how slow the machine processes everything, the deposit took way longer than it should have. Another disappointing change: the restroom that used to be available for customers is now marked "employees only." Small thing maybe, but it definitely doesn't make the branch feel very customer-friendly. The banking perks are great on paper, but the in-person experience is a whole different story. read more

I can still walk around Spectrum, drink in hand, but at a discount. It's also great for charging up your devices and as a work station. Lots of tables and free WiFi. We always stop by the Irvine Spectrum Capital One Cafe for a cold tea at 1/2 off pricing. Its very roomy inside, lots of mix and match of furniture. The outside seating is usually open so its nice they have that option. Great drink choices too, always something new to try and for 1/2 off that's such a great deal. There is limited restrooms so that's a downside, but there are the public restrooms within the Spectrum so not a big deal. Convenient location and been wanting to stop in here. As I was at the Irvine Spectrum recently, I came on in to grab a chilled Matcha drink. It was made well and was good tasting. Staff are efficient here, though didn't come off with high energy here, they were just sufficient as baristas. Good drinks are promised. Though this cafe is waaay packed with UCI students, corporate baddies, and other visitors, depending when you come in, you'll have a little trouble finding any tables here because they are taken up pretty quickly. So, because there's only like a 25% chance getting a table or a chair here, this spot only gets 4 stars. If they could limit table times during busy hours, maybe it can a higher rating. read more

It is one of their summer drinks and is a sparkling beverage made with pineapple and coconut cold foam (made from coconut cream) and finished with a hint of Tajín. YUM. Stopped by around 11 AM on a Saturday and was surprised there wasn't a line. The shop was quiet, making it a nice place to sit down and get some work done or study for a while. The prices were reasonable, especially compared to a lot of other specialty coffee shops. They were out of decaf during my visit, which was a little disappointing, so I opted to get one of their summer refreshers. We ordered the Blueberry Ube Matcha Latte and the Island Spritz. The matcha latte went down smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. However, the Island Spritz was my choice of the two. The pineapple foam added a tropical touch, and the drink was light, refreshing, and perfect for the warm weather. I've been interested in wanting to try a Capital One Café because I see a lot of promotions so I visited on a Sunday around 6pm. This is a pretty large cafe with meeting rooms and seating for people to do work. I noticed the travel aura pop-up and thought it was really cool so I captured a photo. Shortly after a worker said no photos were allowed since it was a bank so it was a bit confusing. I ordered the turmeric ginger latte with request for less sweetener. This coffee shop turned out better than I expected for a quick coworking session. I meet up with a few of the girls to enjoy a good drink and get some work done. We came in around 10am and the place was already busy. We had to sit on the outside tables which were actually more enjoyable than expected. The California weather was great- although I may not necessarily recommend it during the rain. They have private rooms that you can book ahead of time for you and your team or they have at least one more that its first come first serve. This way, you don't have to worry about finding a spot where all your team can seat together. If you have a Capital One card know that you get a % off the menu. Its a good deal. I cant remember if its 40 or 50% off. I had their matcha and cardamom drink. It was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. One big thing if you have a $10,000.00 Credit limit then a 200.00 balance So you pay the 200.00 then they change Your available credit to 10,000.00. I used this as an opportunity to not only enjoy a FREE coffee but to try Capital One Cafe for the first time. I've had friends introduce the place to me before, since then I've been to this Cafe twice. I didn't expect the cafe to look to beautiful on the inside the first time I came. It's a nice banking/cafe where people can come in to work, hang out, and enjoy the peace and quiet. I noticed many people there on their laptops working which lets me know this cafe is targeted for this type of atmosphere. I've visited twice. Shirley helped me the first time. She explained to me how the Coffee Pass worked, which drinks were included and that I could even try seasonal drinks with the pass too! She made my mocha generously FULL which is why I had to use two cups haha. Thanks Shirley for the extra coffee! The mocha was really good, I could have used a little sugar but overall I really loved the foam mixed with the flavor. I had to come back and get another one! The second time I came in, I didn't see his name tag, but he wasn't as kind and helpful as Shirley. He was more pushy and rude. I got another Mocha this time. I enjoyed it. I unfortunately had some fraud activity on my card the day before coming here and my new card wouldn't arrive for 3-5 days. As I sat in the café, I noticed she interacted with several other customers in a similarly abrupt manner, so it didn't seem like my experience was an isolated one. I also observed her discussing a recent interaction with one of the baristas in front of customers in a way that came across as unprofessional. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. I was heading back to San Diego from Irvine and wanted coffee. A quick Yelp search showed me that there was a capital one café nearby. I get emails for them and free offers occasionally so I thought I'd check it out. When I saw they were offering a MLB offer during game season of a free coffee I was excited to try it. I downloaded my offer to my wallet and was on my way. Parking was a breeze and I walked to the cafe. Upon entering, there was quite the line. I was greeted by the greeter upon joining the queue . She asked me questions like if I was there for the MLB promotion and did I need anything else or have any questions I did not but it was my since it was my first time to the capital one Café she pointed out the nuances and features that they offer. The line moved quickly, I placed my order and went to the back to wait for my drink. The café itself was packed with people working on their computers. There were no seats available. I had planned to get my drink to go anyway, but if I was coming to work, it wouldn't have worked out because no one was leaving. The wait for my drink was about 10 to 15 minutes. I'm glad I wasn't in a hurry. They called my name and I grabbed my coffee and was on my way. It was strong, but it tasted good. Had to stop in because I found myself at the Irvine Spectrum on a Monday. They're currently doing MLB Mondays which means a free drink for everyone! Make sure to search up the QR code online first, it's pretty fast to do. Got myself a strawberry matcha and it was pretty good. Loved that the strawberry part was the cold foam on top because you usually don't see that, and it had plenty of strawberry flavor throughout the drink too. I mean for a free drink, you can't really complain much it was good and it came out super fast too. I honestly appreciate how fast they pump out the drinks on MLB Mondays for free coffee. I got their signature honey lavender latte as a hot drink and it was delicious.  I also tried some of their seasonal drinks since we came in a group of 4. The s'mores shakerato was not my favorite since the chocolate didn't complement the coffee well, or maybe it was supposed to be a marshmallow flavor. The strawberry cold foam matcha wasn't bad at all but it's definitely on the sweet side so it's hard to finish unless you have a big sweet tooth.
