Portions were huge and the food was pretty good. I was disappointed in the fries because from what I've seen from other reviews they looked like they were supposed to be more seasoned and crispy. What a pleasant surprise this place was. A girlfriend of mine invited me here for breakfast and there was no disappointment except for the latte. I used to work in the coffee industry, and I can tell that either they use cheap coffee, they have not cleaned their espresso machine or their beans have been out for too long and are possibly expired. It is also possible that the grind is off or maybe it's something else. The latte tasted as if the coffee was rancid or old. My açai bowl was out of this world and my friends. We were happy to get seated outside on a large patio area with umbrellas as we had our dog, there was a very nice outdoor seating area. Our server, Julio, was very helpful in mentioning some items to try like the Blue Pandan Latte drink which we enjoyed tasting. He also mentioned that the waffle with Chicken that could be prepared spicy or not spicy. My favorite part of the dish was definitely the pickled onions, they were the star of the show! Overall, I feel like the dish was somehow too sweet, yet felt like it needed some type of sauce. I've had the food from their Costa Mesa location. I was really excited about the Tustin location opening up. I recall for the longest time we waited in anticipation for this restaurant to open. My first experience was with one coworker and we had the chicken and waffles and sisig burrito. Honestly, the taste of the food did not impress me and it was nothing special. Later on about a year later, I decided to try it with another coworker who had not been there. I was really hoping that the quality and taste would've improved but it was a letdown. I had the pork belly bowl and it was one of the oddest combinations that just was not executed well. The rice was extremely dry and crumbly, not even sure what type of rice this was, but I could not even finish it. The pork belly was strange, it was full of fat, but then the parts that had meat were extremely hard and dry, and no memorable flavor. It's almost as if it was meat that was left out and also the temperature of the food was lukewarm. And then there's the use of broccolini which was a strange texture where it seemed like it wasn't cooked and it was difficult to cut. You would think that having a fried egg would make everything better which it usually does, but there was nothing memorable about it except that it was rubbery. My coworkers seemed to be OK with their chicken sandwich and banh mi. The service was not impressive either as the food was simply brought out. Fortunately, we did have our water refilled once and that was about it. There was no other communication or checking in with us about anything. read more

Me and my cousin finally decided to check this place out! Located in a small shopping center filled with several different restaurants, we came in at a peak hour for brunch but luckily was able to get a table immediately once walking in. Parking around the lot is pretty easy as there is plenty of spaces around. Looking at the menu, it was only one full page which must mean everything is good right? I opted to go for the basic today and get the classic breakfast plate with bacon and sourdough toast along with an iced vanilla latte. It took about 5 minutes for the drink to come out and about another 10 for the food. I'm glad to say the vanilla latte is very refreshing! Strong hints of vanilla along with a good taste of coffee! As for the plate, I'd say what wowed me the most were the scrambled eggs! These were delicious! I thought the hash brown patties were alright and the bacon was good. The jam served with the sourdough was really good too! Overall I paid around $28 for the whole meal and tip. I think it was a very enjoyable breakfast plate. Maybe a change up on the hash browns but I'm not complaining! The iced coffee is great here and the servers that helped us were all friendly and helpful! Checked up on us constantly and filled our waters. Next time would definitely need to the ube French toast or the sisig burrito! Definitely a 4.5 but I'll give em the 5 stars!
