    Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Sydney O.

Portions were huge and the food was pretty good. I was disappointed in the fries because from what I've seen from other reviews they looked like they were supposed to be more seasoned and crispy. We came at breakfast time on a Saturday so they were pretty busy. The service reflected that as well as it was hard to get a hold of someone to get any extra condiments and even once we did the lady never brought the ranch we asked for. I loved that they have Asian inspired flavors for their dishes and will definitely be back to try some other dishes. They charge an extra dollar for the juice for mimosas even though that isn't posted on the menu just a heads up.

Service was exceptional! The owners are super sweet and you can tell they are very passionate about having Toast Kitchen. They offer outside and inside seating. Ube French toast 5/5 the French toast was not overly sweet. This is a plus imo! I liked how you can taste everything from the bread, ube, and maple syrup. Each individual flavor didn't overpower one another and it was a perfect balance.

Such a cute brunch and cocktails for a chill Saturday! My close girlfriend and I met up for drinks and fries (a tradition of ours) and stumbled upon Toast. The staff were so friendly and sweet - I wish I got her name but she was the best and made us feel so welcomed. We got the pho fries and devoured it!!! Overall, not too pricey drinks and reasonably priced munchies

I had the best brunch at Toast Kitchen with my friends recently. We ordered several dishes to share so we could try different menu options. Ube French Toast (5/5) - This french toast was the star of our brunch. The thick broiche was delicious with the ube pastry cream and blueberry sauce. I loved that this dish wasn't too sweet but had amazing flavor. Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/5) - This fried chicken sandwich was so delicious. The fried chicken was huge on the brioche bun, and the coleslaw was paired perfectly. Chilaquiles (4/5) - The chilaquiles were pretty tasty with the shredded pork and sunny-side-up egg. It had a nice tangy verde sauce. Pho fries (4/5) - Interestingly seasoned shoestring fries with a mixture of spices, including five spice

If youre looking for a really good brunch place bit didnt make a reservation and dont want to wait ten years for a table, may i suggest: TOAST! Theyve got something for everyone and its all beautiful, unique, and delicious. They have a distinct filipino fusion vibe with a fully stocked bar and some coffee shop pastries/drinks. We got their mimosa flight and the flavors (yuzu, hibiscus, peach, and coconut) were all fantastic. And i havent seen them done before! My chilaquiles were absolutely delicious, not spicy but very flavorful, and i would LOVE to get those again. The egg was perfectly runny and the salsa fit the dish so well. Nice and crispy chips. Boy got the sisig burrito, and loved it. It was a good size and filled with pork and french fries with a good aioli. The korean chicken sandwich looked great, and the chicken and waffles were very interesting- i think they fry the chicken with something vaguely fish-tasting which was interesting.. but the chicken was very tender. We got a mango pie and it was just ok. Theyre beautiful, but save room for something else. There was no wait for our party of 4 on Saturday at 10am. Theres a big parking lot and indoor+outdoor seating. What a treat!!

Love this place!! Literally no negatives about it!!! - Lots of parking - Quick, attentive; and friendly service (they speak English and Tagalog!) - Vegetarian options - Good lattes! - Cute, trendy, minimalist decor inside - Also able to just order from the bakery and go if you don't want to sit down and eat - Amazing pies!!!

Wow, i usually am not a breakfast or brunch person but this place is truly amazing in both the food and the service. You cant go wrong with the smash burger and the chicken and waffles as we wanted a brunch vibe. Not only was our server amazing, but the manager was so kind and attentive and has definitely won us over !

What a pleasant surprise this place was. A girlfriend of mine invited me here for breakfast and there was no disappointment except for the latte. I used to work in the coffee industry, and I can tell that either they use cheap coffee, they have not cleaned their espresso machine or their beans have been out for too long and are possibly expired. It is also possible that the grind is off or maybe it's something else. The latte tasted as if the coffee was rancid or old. My açai bowl was out of this world and my friends. Breakfast burrito was also delicious. The staff were very welcoming and wonderful and the place was spotless. Definitely coming back for the Basque cheesecake because we didn't get a chance to try it because I had to run.

The service was top tier when I went! The vibes were very homey / cozy :) Also turns out I was the very first customer to try their coconut crusted French toast! It was super yummy and fragrant- honestly I don't even like coconut all that much but I sure did enjoy this. The workers personally asked for our opinion since we were the first to try it. Compliments to the chef indeed

    Asian Soba Chicken Salad

Loved our breakfast outside on the patio at Toast Kitchen & Bakery in Tustin! A warm & friendly restaurant, a hidden gem that was filled with happy customers when we arrived on Saturday morning. We were happy to get seated outside on a large patio area with umbrellas as we had our dog, there was a very nice outdoor seating area. Our server, Julio, was very helpful in mentioning some items to try like the Blue Pandan Latte drink which we enjoyed tasting. He also mentioned that the waffle with Chicken that could be prepared spicy or not spicy. We had a yummy Bacon Breakfast Burrito that was packed with flavor and had a spicy sauce to dip it in that was tasty. There were salad options on the specials for the day but we tried and enjoyed the Asian Soba Noodle salad from the main menu which was tasty, lightly spicy salad. We also had a delicious Matcha Latte, cold and a cheesecake. And Ube French Toast, yum! Highly recommend Toast Kitchen & Bakery in Tustin! Kudos to the management team & their friendly staff for a gem of a restaurant tucked away in the corner of the shopping center on Kensington Park Dr. in Tustin.

    Thai Chilaquiles with chicken
    Vivian N.

Thai chilaquiles (6/10) - this dish is normally made with pulled pork, but we were told we were able to sub it up for chicken, and it tasted pretty good still. My favorite part of the dish was definitely the pickled onions, they were the star of the show! Overall, I feel like the dish was somehow too sweet, yet felt like it needed some type of sauce. There were also a lot of beans which made most of the tortilla chips, too soggy and hard to eat. Ube latte (7/10) - it was very sweet and milk/creamy forward. So if you like that, it's a very good drink! I personally didn't taste as much ube as I was hoping for but still good.

If I were you guys and had that much time on your hands. This is your restaurant, after all. I was seated at 11:15 a.m. and placed my order at 11:20 a.m. After waiting 30 minutes, I started getting irritated. No one gave us an update on when our food would be ready until they noticed the frustrated look on my face. By the time they said our food was ready, it was already 12:10 p.m. They tried to make it up with a sliver of pie, but honestly, I was not impressed. The place was okay. The food itself was decent. The ube French toast was good, but nothing amazing. Overall, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Top: Breakfast Sandwich Ube latte and Ube French Toast Bottom: Pork Belly Bowl
    Joycelyn C.

We came on Sunday around noon and waited for about 10 minutes before being seated. It was really nice inside also with a glass window for their baked goods as well! We ordered the Ube French toast, pork belly bowl, and breakfast sandwich. We were really surprised by the size of all the items and were really full by the end of the meal, but I was definitely impressed by how tender the pork belly was and just the flavor of the overall bowl ! I wished there was more sauce in the bowl. And the French toast was amazing (as an Ube lover) along with the blueberry sauce and blueberries (and I'm not a blueberry fan either). Would love to come back and try their other items!

There was a crowd of people waiting outside so I was a bit nervous that it would take really long. But we added our name to the waitlist on the iPad outside and we were sat in less than 30 minutes (when we went on the list, we were party 13). The wait went by super fast! By the time we finished our meal, there were lots of open seats. I first heard of this place as a "copycat Din Tai Fung". I actually think it's better to think of this place as another Taiwanese restaurant that serves similar food to DTF, but not a copycat. Although some of the popular items are the same (XLBs for example) the restaurants are definitely different. Firstly, the service here is SO FAST. And all the servers were really kind! We ordered our food and it felt like everything came out within MINUTES of each other. By the time we had all our savory dishes, I had only taken one bite out of the first dish. That's how fast it was! Haha We ended up ordering: Spicy XLBs, Beef Roll, Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup, and Taro XLBs for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! My husband's favorite was the Beef Roll, while I think my favorite may have been the soup. The Spicy XLBs (4/5) were great! They felt quite large as I ALMOST had to eat them in two bites (but like why would I ever do that). Flavor was great and I thought there was actually very little spice in these. Compared to DTF'x XLBs, I thought these were just as juicy, but less ginger-forward (which made it feel less flavorful), and more sweet. I was personally missing some acid and wanted a bit more salt cuz it was a tad sweet. The Beef Rolls were pretty good too (4.25/5)! Nice and crispy. Even though it's pan fried, it felt light because of the vegetables. And I know this is weird to say, but the combination of beef, hoison sauce, and veggies almost tasted like pho flavors...but crispy? Yummy! I personally again wanted a bit more salt. But I'd definitely order again. Now for my favorite, the Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup (4.5/5). WOOWWEEE! She's spicy! And I have a good spice tolerance so beware. I really loved the flavor of the broth. It was spicy and also had a really clean flavor. It looked like it would be a watery broth but WRONG! It was so flavorful. I loved the chewy noodles too and even the noodles on their own were spicy cuz they clung onto the broth. A really delicious soup! I'd love to eat this on a cold winter's day or when I'm sick. Delicious! The Taro XLBs (3.9/4) were pretty good too, but skippable. They weren't too sweet, which was nice. They had a lovely consistency and good taro flavor. But compared to everything else, they weren't that special. Overall, a really delicious restaurant! I'd definitely come here if I was craving XLBs/Taiwanese food.

We waited one hour on my visit, but that is to be expected as the restaurant is quite small. Beef Rolls (5/5): We got two orders of these, and it was our favorite for a reason. Crispy and flaky wrap on the outside and it was packed with flavor. It was very satisfying to eat! Scallion Pancakes (3.5/5): They were plain but that is to be expected, I didn't taste much scallion. It needed the sauce of course! Spicy Wontons (4/5): These are solid and the chili oil does pack a lot of heat. I would say they are on the spicier side, just wish there was a little more depth to it. Seven Grams XLB (4/5): Juicy and flavorful! Not the absolute best I've had, but still worth ordering. Golden Beef Noodle Soup (5/5): This bowl right here was amazing. Green leafy kale paired with the extra hearty soup was what made this bowl a standout dish for me. 100% would order this alone! Mapo Tofu (5/5): Yummy silky tofu cubes with the minced meat sauce were delicious in every bite! I had no other complaints, but this dish gets very filling easily. Seriously, this place is one of my favorite places in Tustin. The service one inside is efficient, and the ambience is a bit noisy and packed, but this place is popular for a reason. I'll definitely revisit this spot when I get the chance.

I really wish they would bring it back because it was one of the restaurant's signature dishes and a favorite among many customers. During this visit, I ordered the sliced pork and the jelly noodles. The sliced pork was incredibly tender, with a clean, fresh flavor that let the ingredients' quality shine. The jelly noodles were refreshing, spicy, and full of bold Sichuan flavors. The combination of heat, seasoning, and texture was simply delicious. The dessert was also surprisingly good. It reminded me of mochi, topped with puffed rice that added a pleasant crunch and contrast to the soft, chewy texture. I will say that without the sauce, it's not super crazy - still a great, filling meal paired with the filet mignon. dessert: mango sticky rice: 3/5 the mango was sweet & ripe, & the pandan sticky rice was pretty good as well. I wasn't the biggest fan of the nuts & I would've loved more of a coconut cream instead of the coconut meat as it just didn't have too much flavor, in my opinion. this was a great post-work meal & I will definitely be back to try more of the menu & cocktails!

We shared my 2 favorite items: Mongolian Trio and Walnut Shrimp. The quality of the food here has been consistent since day 1. Sorry, we came here hungry after a 3 mi walk and by the time I remembered to take a picture of the Mongolian Trio - we've already eaten half of it .

This place has great deals and happens to be next to one of my fav Japanese restaurants too! We started with egg drop soup and it was thick and hearty, added a little soy and spice to it and it was great, the schezwan wontons were amazing as well and had an interesting spice chili sauce to them which was great (I used the leftover chili sauce to add to my other food as well). The beef and broccoli had a lot of flavor but was my least fav of everything we ordered. Not bad but typical dish. The fried rice was cooked fine and I liked the veggies they included, it had nice taste and complimented the food as well. The chow mein was delicious and had great flavor and fresh ingredients too. Service was quick and excellent. The restaurant is pretty small so any party over 4 will need to combine tables which is what we did but it worked out. This may just have became one of my new fave Chinese places!

Luckily our friend had put our name down quickly and we were seated upon the rest of our party's arrival within 15 ish minutes. Now that I've tried the food, felt the service, and enjoyed our meal, I can see why it has a line and a high star rating! The service: super friends and accommodating! The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!

I've been here several times and I have only good things to say. They have a seasonal summer menu that we did not try for this visit but it's nice to know there's new items to try. For this visit, we ordered the: -Beef Carpaccio: Flavorful and well prepared. I loved the arugula apple salad on top that added an extra bit of tanginess to the dish. -Truffle Funghi Pizza: Amazing thin pizza. The crust was soft and fluffy which I loved. -Spicy Miso Carbonara Pasta: One of the favorites for a reason. Creamy and savory with fun thick bacon bits. Shoutout to our server Danny. He was attentive, friendly, and polite. We never had to ask for anything! We arrived on a Wednesday night for dinner at around 8PM and our wait was 40 minutes. There are table, booth, and bar seating options here. INI is one of the restaurants under the Kei Concepts group. This restaurant is located in a Fountain Valley plaza featuring several other Kei restaurants. There is plenty of parking here.

I went with a group of 8, and we opted for family style. The umeboshi spring salad was fresh and delicious, sweet and savory with pistachios for crunch. Truffle cheese bread was served warm in a skillet. It came with a generous serving of mozzarella and ricotta on top, with honey on the side for drizzling. The crab roe spaghetti had a rich sauce with a nice sweetness from the crab, plus a generous portion of crab on top with dehydrated tomato and stracciatella. We kept the sauce for dipping some of the bread and pizza crust! Spicy miso carbonara was their recommendation as a popular dish. We got it less spicy, and it was pretty subtle. All of the flavors blended perfectly together. The egg yolk was dropped whole on top for you to mix in yourself. It was very savory and not too salty. Mentaiko pizza was super flavorful with a light layer of mentaiko cream under the mozzarella with nori, bonito, octopus and corn on top. The crust was delicious and chewy. It was an interesting mix and everything worked together perfectly. The service was great - very efficient, helpful and they checked on us periodically and made sure we had serving utensils since we were dining family style. They do accept reservations, which I would recommend! The space is bright and open, and has a casual family friendly feel. It's clean and modern with no pretension. The bathroom was also clean. We landed at under $35 per person for the meal, no beverages or dessert. I loved INI and would return without hesitation!

We almost didn't want the kway teow and wanted fried rice and server was holding it in her hand and said if we really really wanted to switch it out she could do it for us. We ended up trying the kway teow anyways but turned out to he a disappointment. Not enough flavor? Missing salt or soy sauce? Only the egg made it good BUT! Beef satay was perfect! Not chewy. Was so delicious with the sauce they have. I wanted additional sauce for togo but that's additional cost . And chicken pop was just perfectly fried and seasoned chicken. It was delicious. Not the same as taiwanese popcorn chicken since it has a different spice. Would come back again but not for the kway teow.
