Customer service was horrible! We pulled up in the drive-through this morning at 8am behind another car and waited for approximately 10 minutes for her to finish with the vehicle in front of us. Once done, we pulled forward towards the window at the same time another car pulled up on the other side. She proceeded to help the other car first even though we had been there waiting. She then proceeded to rudely say she had to go back-and-forth on the window and argued saying that we weren't there . She turned her back and ignored us Horrible attitude!!! read more

Just received the WORST service from this coffee stand of which we have been coming here for years. The Open sign was on and the first thing we were told, "we only have one head on because we're closing in 5 minutes". Okay...we would like a 16 oz vanilla sugar free iced coffee with 5 shots. "How many shots?" Five shots. "Okay, that's gonna take about 3 minutes". This girl had so much shitty attitude. I said your Open Sign was on, so maybe you should shut it off if you don't want to make coffee... Rachel's (if that's her real name) says, " you know what I dont think I want to make your coffee now. You can leave!" Whaaaaat?! I asked for a business card and left. I don't remember the owners name, but you have a really scrappy employee. We stopped by on our way through town and the barista was so kind and friendly! Our drinks were so tasty and the prices were great! They had lots of fun drink and food options to pick from. We will definitely stop by again! read more

It pains me to write about a coffee stand I have been going to for years and years. I have been a very loyal customer and loved supporting this local business instead of going to Starbucks across the street. Due to recent change in health I have been increasing protein. I have two shots of espresso over ice and then pour my protein drink into the cup for breakfast. Literally every other stand I have gone to is always around 2.00, including Starbucks which is generally more expensive than anyone, charges 2.18. I have never been charged more than 2.18 except Disneyland where everything is priced insanely high. I have been charged 2.00 at Capitol perks the last dozen of times I have been there. Today I was told $3.50. I was shocked and asked why. I was told they "charge by the cup" (I asked for espresso in large cold cup). What the!?!? I have never heard that at a coffee stand . What kind of business model is that? So if I go to Anthony's and ask for French fries on an extra large plate they should charge me a steak price because it is on an extra large plate? The owner said,"well we charge for an Americano because otherwise people can add their own milk". How does this logic make sense? Your customers Are paying for the product they ordered, not the cup or for what you wished you would have sold. When I was trying to make sense of it she said "sorry hon we are a local business". Yes and I support local business but I don't support gouging your customer. It is your business and I wish you well and am bummed that this won't be a stop anymore. I have bought gift coins and cards here, literally, more than a hundred times over several years for local teachers, family and friends, and others as gifts- year round. I wish there would have been some thought and logic into this decision because you lost me and my family as customers. Best of luck and I'll miss you guys :( read more

I have been going to this coffee stand for years and have noticed recently that the customer service has gone downhill- particularly that from the owner or manager who I believe is named Kasha. For the last several months she has consistently been short and unfriendly; never greets you with a smile and gives off the impression that you're bothering her rather than a valuable customer. Nevertheless, I've continued to be a loyal customer because the stand is conveniently close to my home and I have found her employees to typically be pleasant. Today I ordered an iced drink and she prepared it for me hot. A different barista apologized with a smile and immediately said "No problem, I'll remake it for you." I thanked her but Kasha insisted they pour it in a large cup with ice so they don't "waste it" and assured me it would "cool down in a few minutes." So basically, I paid nearly 5 dollars for a warm, watered down drink. I ended up not drinking it after a few sips because it was awful. To make matters worse, I'm pretty sure I heard Kasha make a snide remark to her barista about how I didn't ask for an iced drink (although I most definitely did). This was by far the worst experience I've had at a coffee stand and despite the convenient location, I will not be back. They have lost a loyal customer but at least they didn't waste a drink! read more

I live quite far from work & this is the closest coffee stand by where I do work, so it's really the only reason why I go here. Yes, they're coffee tastes okay, but the two workers who are usually there in the morning just put me in a bad mood. I always come cheery and they don't talk to you at all besides asking for your order or when it comes time to pay so they get a tip. They only talk to "regulars" and spend the entire time talking to each other to where I just take my coffee, pay and leave. I haven't had that problem with the other workers the few times I go there when it isn't the start of the morning. To the two people in the beginning of the shift - please work on engaging with all your customers more than each other. Thanks. :) read more

Been going here since I was 16! Always satisfied with my coffee and service. The employees really make you feel comfortable and like you can ask for your drink to be changed without them being offended or angry (i.e. can you make this sweeter? can I have more ice?) I love the consistency of seeing the same ladies everyday. Their seasonal drink menus are so good too! I look forward to their Fall menu every single year. CP has a special place in my heart because it started my love for coffee but I still go at least once or twice a week and I'm always impressed! read more

Went there this morning for a latte and essentially got a warm cup of water. She made it in less than a minute, so I was immediately skeptical. My co-worker was behind me and also got a coffee that didn't taste good either. I like small stands like this bc of the quality but I won't be going here again. read more

I stop here a few times a week as its close to work, greeted but never with a smile or any real enthusiasm. The 2 ladies that are always there seem to be more interested in chatting with each other than acknowledging my existence. Coffee never tastes that great, always disappointed when i take that first sip. I'd rather drive the extra couple blocks and risk being late to get a smile and a good mocha at S and J's. read more

I used to love the coffee at capital perks and went there almost everyday. Throughout the years the barista have changed. Some are very nice and bubbly (which is what you want when you go to a coffee stand..or really any place with customer service) and some bad baristas. However the manager, or who I believe to be the manager (the older lady with the curly blonde hair), has always been consistently rude everytime I go. No matter if I'm driving, in the passenger seat or in the back...the time of day or any day of the week, doesn't even matter she is just plain rude. That alone makes me never want to go back. read more
