Back in town for an event at Tech and saw this place during the day and thought I would give it a shot later for dinner. I placed my order and arrived 20 minutes later to see no parking in sight for blocks. Called and informed them I was out front and could not park and was not going to drag my kids blocks to pick up the pizza. The woman who answered the phone seemed put off but agreed to come outside to take my payment and deliver my pizza. Once to my car her attitude changed to bubbly and nice. I am very appreciative of what she did. As for the pizza it is good, but still prefer One Guys. Y campus. read more

Just moved to Lubbock and everyone recommended this place for pizza. Some of the worst pizza I have ever had! If this was on the east coast, it would be run out of business. I LOVE capital pizza! Hands down the best in the LBK. The reason for 3 stars is due to the incredibly rude employees. I have been here many times and continuously feel as if I'm interrupting THEIR day and never have felt welcomed. Ate here for lunch with my wife and it was great! The service was good and everything we had was delicious. We had the cheese bread as an appetizer and it was super cheesy and the marinara sauce was some of the best I've had and the portion was huge! We also had a large Thai curry chicken pizza and it was really funky, but absolutely amazing! It was probably the most unique pizza I've ever had. We had to Buffalo Chicken Pizza. It was very good. It was nice to find a table since this place is located in Tech Terrace next to J&B. If we hadn't walked I don't think we'd have found a place to park. I don't like their emphasis on their beer selections. I love beer but having a bunch of different brands in cans and bottles is not a high quality selection. A high quality is having quite a few brands on tap. Service was good and food was good. I ordered some take-out pizza from here in April, 2014 for an Autism fund-raiser. It's great that Capital Pizza supports this cause, but I was disappointed and haven't been back since. They took forever to cook our pizza. When I arrived to pick it up, parking space was non-existent and I had to squeeze through a crowd of people to get to the cashier to pay for it and pick it up. I am a fan of One Guy From Italy (University Ave, Lubbock,TX) and I never miss going there for a slice every time I visit Lubbock. This time, I went to Capital Pizza as it was highly recommended by many TTUHSC students. Well, it is a tough choice indeed... bottom-line is, pizza dough is soft and better tasting at Capital Pizza but they are skimpy on meat and vegetables. One Guys Pizza on the other hand has lot more quantity of meat and vegetables and tastewise, it is equal to Capital Pizza. We had to wait 30 minutes to get a table at Capital Pizza!!! read more

The taste was not that great. It also made me sick to my stomach the next day. This place was definitely in the bottom half of pizza places I've been to. The service was okay, the waitress wasn't very friendly. Everything was pretty mediocre. Took my fiancé here to try it out as he had never been there and he has ate at almost every place in town since attending Tech. He's a picky eater and loved it! I loved it and the staff are super nice! They go out of your way to check on you and the pizza was deliciously fresh. Enjoyed a pizza here Friday. It was amazing! Atmosphere was fun. We were greeted the second we walked in. Selected a table in the back. Very good selection of wine and beer. Food menu has some appetizers, salads, sandwiches and obviously pizza. We were promptly greeted and soon our drinks arrived. We opted to create our own pizza of ricotta, fresh mozzarella, basil, olive oil, spicy salami, mushrooms and artichoke. It did take some time to arrive but they were busy. The pizza was so so good! My husband doesn't really care for pizza and he was raving about it! Their marinara we asked for on the side was extremely good with nice acid. Service was awesome. Went for lunch today...had an Italian Calzone. It was big enough for two and very tasty! Friends with me - one did a build your own Calzone that she said was great and two others split a small Rabbit pizza which looked divine! Mike was our server.
