Truly a local gem. The rabbit pizza is my favorite, but the buffalo and Thai chicken are amazing.

Best pizza in Lubbock hands down. Service great, and pizzas fantastic. My kids love the plain cheese pizza.

I saw the reviews and being lovers of pizza, we gave it a shot. We got the cheese bread, which was super cheesey and the homemade marinara sauce was delish. We also got the chicken Alfredo pizza which was awesome, crust is usually the most important part for me because I like thin and it was just the way I like it! Definitely will be back! read more

We had a small pizza split with the daily special and the margarita. The daily special was pulled pork with peppers and green chiles and mozzarella and garlic oil. They both were delicious! And it was only $9.99. We also had a couple of beers, the Left Hand Nitro and the TommyKnocker chocolate stout, both yummy. We can't wait to go back, not sure if our 7 year old will like it. My one star review is not based on food or service. These two aspects of the restaurateur's duties are done quite well. However the menu offers product that the company cannot produce more then half the time in fact it's more like they don't ever have their products in stock. The last three times I have just walked out but they have not had it in two months of regular visits (or attempted visits). I would really like to give this place five stars but at the moment they are just too frustrating. read more

I love this place!! The pizza is delicious as well as the cheese bread. My hubby loves the carnivore that is loaded with meat, I like the chicken, spinach, and Alfredo! Recently tried the rabbit and was very pleased with this all veggie selection. Really want to try one with pesto sauce instead of traditional pizza sauce, which is an option you normally don't find! Best pizza is Lubbock, no question about it. The dough is fresh and delicious and they're very generous with their toppings. If you're a cheese lover like me, be sure to get the cheesy bread. It's amazing!! I love their "build your own" option (they even allow you to get two different sauces on each half of the pizza if you'd like). My favorite is their pesto pizza with feta and mushrooms, but their Thai basil and buffalo chicken pizzas are also delicious! read more

My pizza had clearly been dropped on the ground and sloppily thrown back in the to-go box. I did not call to complain because I did not feel like protesting or driving back to the restaurant. Even if I had gotten a pizza that hadn't been repulsive, the unreasonably expensive pricing would surely not have been justified by the mediocre pizza that is served here. This stinking establishment pales in comparison to One Guy from Italy's Pizza, West Crust, Orlando's, Dino's or even Papa John's. read more

One of the best, hands down. Ingredients are top quality and they pave the way for amazing dishes. If you're looking for something family friendly, down home, West Texas values... go somewhere else. Nothing against them either. Kids and the like would enjoy, and be more suited, for "Ole' Chuck-E" or Mr. Gattis. Honestly, this place is exactly what it needs to be to crank out kick-ass pizza. If you want amazing pizza and can have a thick skin about it, this place is just about as good as it gets. We just moved to Lubbock and we're looking for pizza based off of location (Capital is just down the street from a house we are moving into) so we checked out this place. We ordered takeout so we may have to go back and eat in the restaurant to see if it is any better. Good size pizza for the price but when we got the pizza home it seemed like most of the dough in the middle was undercooked and overall there just wasn't that much sauce. Good amount of toppings and cheese, quick call-to-pick up timing. I hope it's even better when we eat in the restaurant. read more

Really good pizza!! Sizes are big and filled with toppings! The garlic bread is a must which looks like pizza! Super delicious and rich in flavor! The service was also superb. The place gets packed during the weekend and it's a self seating service so it was quite frustrating trying to get two tables together for a larger group. read more

Hands down the best pizza in Lubbock! My wife and I went for the first time, after hearing so much about the place. It's a little off the beaten path but not hard to find. You always hear that little hole in the wall places are the best, and I'm not sure if this qualifies as such, but it's the best. read more

Wide beer selection an the bar is open till 2. Kitchen closes at 11. It's a little expensive but still reasonable, and there is a huge selection of toppings. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu and the garlic is so fresh on everything it's amazing. In my opinion it's the best pizza in town, but as far as I know they don't do it by the slice, you gotta order a whole pie. read more

Capital Pizza is the 1st and only restaurant/bar ever in Tech Terrace. Soft opening started 1/17/13 with samples of pizzas off a limited menu. Full opening is Monday 1/21/13. They say they serve sandwiches and salads, but their menu was still being printed so I wasn't able to look at it (so I have no idea what the prices for anything are other than the beer and wine they were selling). They have a pretty large beer selection--about 25 bottle varieties--and about the same number of wines. We were only able to snag one piece of a veggie pizza with eggplant, onion, artichoke and it tasted great (they were bringing out free pizzas for the soft opening, and it was packed). The pizzas are about 12", have a bubbly crust that's not as crisp as West Crust (still my favorite), but not doughy either like Dion's. They use a really flavorful herb blend that gives it a great taste. Beer is a little pricey, I think, at $4.25 a bottle, and wine is $8 a glass. That, though, will probably help keep it from being a college/frat hangout and more of a locals, neighborhood type place given the location in the more affluent Tech Terrace area of town. Overall, I really like this place. They did a great job with the decor and lighting. It feels intimate yet friendly and inviting. The pizza doesn't measure up to West Crust, but West Crust still doesn't serve beer or wine. read more

We had a very poor experience here. The pizza yes is delicious and the servers are very friendly. But my boyfriend was trying to cut the pizza and it slipped off the table and half of our pizza fell on the floor. They quickly cleaned it up and then the manager/owner (he didnt introduce himself or specify his importance at this establishment) came over and offered to give us half off of a small pizza. My boyfriend and friend and myself were confused as to why we would have to pay for another pizza, this pizza slipped off the table, it was an accident. That happens a lot in the food industry, my boyfriend myself and friend all work in the food industry. I attempted to talk to this owner/manager but he ignored anything and everything i had to say and only kept talking over me before walking away in the middle of our conversation and avoiding coming over to us for the duration of our stay. We didnt get a new pizza and we still had to pay full price even though we only had half of it. This manager/owner didnt offer to make a new pizza or a discount, he merely "offered" to make another pizza for half price. Will not be returning. read more

I had lunch at this place in early January 2015 and I had the worst waitress. She was extremely rude and had not acknowledged me whilst I was was sitting there. The only thing that throws me off about this place is that due to the decor one may assume they carry a wider variety of beers than they actually do and the size of the building is rather small.
