Very good place for some nice catfish, shrimp, and fries on a friendly budget. The fish and shrimp has a very nice batter that wasn't too greasy. I wasn't all impressed with the fried seafood here. The fish came out with crispy but inside was a bit mushy. The fries were dry. The fried didn't have any flavor. I've lived around this area most of my life and unfortunately have watched it decline steadily. That being said I typically stay away from food anywhere in this strip center as this particular suite has been many things before Capitan took over. It's not the nicest location but the place itself seemed clean enough from the outside. I noticed that there's always a lot of people there and after reading reviews, I decided to give it a shot. The first thing I noticed is the drive thru monitor is out of order (and had seemingly been like that for quite some time), which means you have to place your order at the window. In turn this means a back up happens with the cars because people have to wait somewhere in the parking lot for their food after their order is placed. This causes a lot of stalling with the workers at the window with the ordering and payment process in order to have orders go out so people can move out of the way. I didn't find anyone particularly rude nor helpful. The food was okay. I liked that my fried shrimp were piping hot and flavorful, although they need to be deveined better. The rice was literally laughable as it reminded me of store bought rice-a-roni which they tried to make "fried rice" by putting diced green onions in. Lol. Not very flavorful nor substantial at all but not horrible. For the price (less than $6) I can't complain too much. Bottom line - if I'm feeling brave and I have a hankering for cheap fried seafood, I'll go back. I think this place will survive based on what they provide for the clientele in the area. read more

This place is consistent every time. They are nice and the place is clean. I always get my order to go. The boiled shrimp is cleaned properly and the right amount of spice. The prices aren't bad either. There are tons of other seafood places on Veterans but this is my favorite. She said yes, guess what, i got a full bag of frozen dead crawfish. They might think that customers dont know the difference between fresh and frozen. Just had dinner there with the family. The fried fish is good but not the crawfish!!! The crawfish was not fresh and very slimy. I told the guy there and he said it was live crawfish. The many times I've eaten crawfish I should know what fresh and live is. The crawfish was soft and head is full of oozing brain. If it was live crawfish the body should be in tact and the meat should not be mushy. I told the guy my mom was a chef and she should know what fresh is. She couldn't even finish her portion. Everything is fresh and cooked perfectly. I eat here twice a week and have never found anything to complain about. The interior is always very clean and the service is quick.
