My wife and went to purchase a car at Capital Auto Group ( Toyota) . We found a car we like, test drove it. We had a vehicle to trade in which had low mileage and was in excellent shape. They offered 6000 dollars under what the car was listed. After being there over 3 hours, we decide to go else where. Asked for our keys back so we could go home. The manger Joe had taken our keys home with him. They wanted us to take loaner car and come back tomorrow. We said no and stated he needed to bring our keys back. He came back with our keys, no apology. We will never come back here again. We went to Withnell and purchased our new SUV and they gave us 5000 more on our trade than Capital offered us. Recently sold my car to this group. Such a disappointment. Very kind engaging sales team initially only to be followed by false promises. They did share it would take 10 days to ensure my remaining car loan balance had been paid, which ironically was paid right at 10 days. It's now approaching 30 days and still no payment. I was promised a check would go out at the 10 days, nothing. Then was told the would overnight, still nothing. Now told it was in the mail-still nothing. Considering a lawyer. Small claims court? Are they buying cars with no capital? I haven't a clue. Don't sell to them, best to just wait to sell to private party. read more

The second star is for the ease of making an appointment and getting in quickly. The rest is one star. I was told they could not rotate my tires because one was bald on the inside shoulder and I needed new tires all around. I went home and had my son look at them (he was a mechanic for several years) and he said they are fine, and someone didn't want to do a tire rotation at the end of the day. The things I did need done they didn't do, like cabin filter, etc. When I got in my car the inflation warning light came on for all the tires. I won't be going back. read more

No stars from me. My brother has advanced stage dimentia and walked out of his home and made it to this dealership on foot. They sold my brother a pos car. He drove it to friends five miles from the dealership. The friend became concerned and drove my brother immediately back to the dealership and explained the situation and asked them to take the car back. They informed the friend that the dealership was now closed and we should contact the manager in the morning. I left a message first thing. They got back to me around 2:30 and Jeff Shut assured me they would take it back and make it right. I told them they could even keep 600 dollars of the purchase. I feel that was more than fair. Jeff said oh no, just let me cancel everything and I'll call you with a time to bring it back. I was thinking this was pretty decent and awesome. I never heard back! I called and left messages and then they BLOCKED me!! Im just seriously feeling duped and taken. Seriously!! These people will tell you anything, but it's all unfullfilled promises. Im going to file a formal complaint!! Seems like the almighty dollar is more important than a persons life. read more

I'm driving down Portland Road, it is Tuesday at around 1150 in the morning and one of their executive shuttle drivers turned right at a light and rather than staying on his lane, jumped over to the next one where I was already driving 40 miles an hour and nearly hit him. Of course I honk the horn and I pulled up next to him. He completely ignored that I was there, And must not have thought that apologizing was the appropriate thing to do. I call the dealer to report him and of course I was given a voicemail box of the person who handles these types of calls. As a business owner myself, if I have any one of my people driving like a shithead, I would want to know to correct it right away. read more

I am giving it one star because I have to. They took my car on June 22, 2022. I had wrecked my car 2 weeks prior and took it to them to have some work done. Three weeks later they still had not even touched the car, except to move it around their parking lot. I never received any calls from them about updates (what I found out later was they received wrong parts and had to wait for the correct ones to come in, the tech that was assigned to my car was out sick with covid the week that my parts were available and no other worker can work on the car apparently, etc.) I had to call them. So, July 14th we pick it up, July 15th I pick up my parts that they ordered but never put on the car. July 14th and 15th I was told by Nick that I would have a check in the mail for the money received from the insurance that they cannot keep (mind you, they did so much work to the car that they can't keep ONE CENT for labor) *eye roll*. First week goes by and we don't have a check (July 18th - 22nd). Second week comes and I call Nick and ask for an update. He tells me that the check should be received by us by the end of the week (again, mind you, my PO BOX is in the same zip code as where they send the checks from). Monday the 1st of August I still do not have a check. Today, Tuesday the 2nd of August, I also do not have a check. I call to speak with Nick this morning and got a lovely lady in the office to find out why I haven't received it yet. She said I should have. I don't receive a call back for a couple of hours and my insurance contacts them and they call me. They say that since the car was not picked up until the 22nd of July they won't have a check to me for a week to two weeks after. I corrected Nick and told him that I did not pick my car up on the 22nd, I in fact picked my car up on the 14th of July (a Thursday). He said that it wasn't showing as picked up in their system until the 22nd. I have proof it was picked up on the 14th of July. So, as it stands my car is sitting at my house unable to be finished because they aren't getting me my money that they were overpaid by the insurance for work that they never did. I made an appointment online to have my oil changed a week ahead of time I received multiple confirmations that it was 1/8 at 4:40 for Capitol Chevy. I get to the dealership early and was told that my appointments as actually for 1/9 at 4:40 even though I had all the confirmations for 1/8. They said they could get me in and I should try the Toyota side. So I go over to the Toyota side and they couldn't get me in either, tell me I can come in Saturday and that they don't do appointments that day so I could just walk in. Saturday comes and I walk in and get told I should have made an appointment but they can try and have it done by end of day or I can make an appointment for next week. They don't seem to care about wasting your time and making you drive back and forth to come in. read more

I bought a used Dodge 2500 and it has been nothing but problems since literally the day I got it home. The morning after I bought it I walked out to an axle seal leak. Ends up that the whole front end was bent and was over $8,000 in work. Thank God I got the extended warranty. It costs me $150 everytime I go in because something is leaking or wobbling. I've spent about $2500 out of pocket and I've only had it for 10 months! This dealership obviously doesn't go over their vehicles to make sure they're correct and sound. Buyer beware! I have never had to do so many repairs on a vehicle I paid almost $40,000 on! Shame on them for selling something like this! I will NEVER buy anything from them again and want to let everyone know what they sell. read more
