Since I first bought my Car, it had suspension issues. Every bump in the road was felt while the struts thumped on something inside. I finally got my car fixed when my tax return came in and I have to say I was pretty impressed with Capitol Hill Conoco guys. First of all, they worked with me on the price. I told them I could only afford $1000 and they were able to find affordable parts to get the price to just above that. They were also very quick, fixing all four struts in only one day. More impressively, when I noticed an odd chik-chik sound coming from the same area as the struts, they quickly fixed the problem when I brought the car back at no extra charge. They did this despite the problem maybe only being tangentially related to the original problem. So basically because they have awesome customer service. I've only owned a car for five months and have definitely been worried about all that comes with owning a car. Because of these guys I no longer have to worry about finding an excellent, reliable mechanic, because these guys are definitely top-notch. I would recommend them definitely ! read more

I had the misfortune of being towed to a shop recommended by the AAA tow truck driver, Kirby Kar Kare at 2855 York street, whom kept my car for over a month. They had disconnected their phone and I could not get in touch with them to even retrieve my car. I contacted Capitol Hill Conoco where Rick has been more then helpful. He helped me tow my car back to his shop and immediately began to diagnose my problem, knowing that I was extremely eager to get my car back. Rick called me every day with an update and had it fixed within three days. He even billed me less than what he originally quoted me. Later, I had a separate issue with my car and I called Rick. He picked my car up that evening and had it fixed the very next day and didn't even charge me for the tow. These are good, honest, hard-working mechanics that do a great, timely job at the most reasonable price that you will find. I highly recommend them to everybody. read more

I showed up on a Saturday where they have first-come-first-serve days. I told them what I thought was happening (put in too much oil; the mechanic and the shop owner were both present when I talked about it) and then told me the absolute truth which was that they'll change the oil and that will likely fix the problem but no guarantees. I'd need to drive it a bit to make sure theres no other damage I did to the engine. Straight up truthful honest answer (considering taking apart the engine and looking for damage would have cost insane amounts). Couldn't ask for anything better especially after going to Urban Autocare the time before and them installing a bunch of things I didn't ask for and then charging me and telling me that if I didn't replace other things my car was doomed. read more

I found out about this place through a friend of mine who recommended Capitol Hill Auto. I have been using the family mechanics for many years. In just one day my car was fixed, didn't even pay close to what I have already spend with the other mechanics. Going to mechanics you know just to save some money doesn't really mean you are saving any, instead you ended paying way more. Amazing people and service! Today was the second time I've gone to Capitol Hill Conoco with a car issue. Initially, I stopped in thinking I would need to make an appointment, but they told me if I could leave it, they would try to work me in. Indeed, they did! Not only did they fix the problem, but they got me in and out in the same day. I also appreciate the fact that everyone is polite and courteous and that they called me to let me know what needed to be done and how much it would be so when I arrived, there were no surprises. Ive been using this shop for over five years. I own I limo company and we have 15 cars in our fleet between town cars suburban and passenger vans. Roger is an outstanding mechanic. We haven't faced a problem he couldn't fix. Hassan the cashier is always very helpful and always smiling, and all you will hear from him is : YES we'll get done, which is the answer I always look for, specially when I have clients to pick up. I have been taking my car to downing street garage and noticed that I have been overcharged every time I go there. So, I decided to try this capitol hill auto since they have some nice reviews..Guess what I am glad I did because they are very friendly and cheap. I called and they fit me in the same day for front brakes and rotors (turned) $140..I will definitely use them over and over and recommend other friends. I have just started my Limousine service and I broke down in DIA and I talked to my fellows drivers and recommende this small shop over Williams and Colfax Capitol Hill Conoco. Gave them a call and sent me a tow truck and when I got there they even called me a Taxi cab to my house in downtown. Later on called me and said it needs only a Battery and terminal. $120. I thought it is nice and honest place. It is a full service to me. Tow calling a taxi cab and offering free coffee. Check it out Highly recommended. read more

Nicest car repair place ever!!!! I am a 20 girl who knows nothing about cars, and 2 weeks ago as I was traveling across the country, my car was over hearing. It would have been easy for these guys to take advantage of me. But instead they replaced my radiator changed my tire rotated my tires and changed my oil for the price of a radiator. I saw reviews and I thought I would try these guys. Well, I was impressed because they deserve 5 stars.I needed my oxygen sensor replaced. It took them half an hour and guess what I paid $100 parts and labor. I made sure to return when I needed my state inspection done and was pleased again. They have online coupons that keep it cheap. I had the battery problem. It was getting old and had a problem of starting the car. They replaced the battery at a very reasonable cost and filled all other liquids and cleaned under the hood for free.
