Discovered I needed a front tire really badly. Four wheel alignment also. Called on Thursday around 4 and they said they could get me in on Friday if I brought the car in early. I showed up at 8 and they ordered the tires. Said they would call me when they arrived so I could have use of the car until then. They did that and the work started. They texted me before it was finished so I could go ahead and get a ride down. The final cost was the exact estimate amount and so far everything is good. The steering wheel and door handles were free of grease so they took the effort to keep the car clean. read more

I am a women and going to the body shop is a very hard thing for me and I thought this time it might be different. It was not. I went in last Tuesday. All I needed was an oil change and they tried to charge me 400 dollars when I said that's too much for oil change they said because they found another problem and they apparently gave me a discount. It was supposed to be 1000 dollars he still didn't make sense to me because they wouldn't tell me what was the problem they found because there was no problem. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY!!!!! I had recently replaced the steering linkage and control arms on my truck so I took it into Maple St Garage to get an alignment. I left the cam bolts and tie rod sleeves only hand tightened to make it easier for the mechanic to adjust and drove the 3 blocks to their shop. Fast forward 2 weeks and I noticed a rubbing sound coming from the front end. Turns out they didn't tighten any of the bolts. My cam bolt nuts were about to fall off, my steering linkage sleeve could be twisted by hand and the linkage was loose and wobbling. I'm just lucky my linkage didn't come loose on 6th ave. Completely negligent and lazy to the point of borderline criminal! read more

TLDR; shop forgot to tighten my oil drain plug, performed a service I didn't want, and questioned my integrity to my face to where I wouldn't be comfortable returning. I had a disappointing experience at Maple Garage. I took my car in for a tire balance and was unexpectedly told I received a "free" oil change because they mistakenly drained my oil. This was frustrating since I had just changed my oil using high-quality Mobil1 full synthetic oil with a BG oil stabilizer. When I requested compensation for the $26 can of additive I had just used , the employee questioned my integrity, repeating "how would I even know if you're telling the truth." When he finally gave me a new can of additive, he still acted as if I was ripping him off. I never received any apology or compensation for having my brand-new expensive oil drained and my car filled with cheaper oil. Despite this, I decided not to leave a negative review until I discovered a significant oil puddle under my car. Dreading trying to convince a business who doesn't trust their customers that my car didn't have a leak before visiting them and had a pretty bad leak now (we know how that would've gone), I got under the car and found the issue. They forgot to tighten the oil drain plug; I could spin it with my fingers. There is a good chance I would've had full engine failure if this plug came the rest of the way loose. This series of mistakes, combined with their dismissive attitude and failure to acknowledge their errors, made it the worst mechanic experience I've ever had. read more

My car was having issues running and although no check engine light came on for them to diagnose what the root of the problem was, they were thorough to find the problem updating me throughout the process. Agreed, If I could rate a 0 I would. I brought my truck in for brakes and rotors and what I got was warped rotors for $702.03. I noticed the braking was rough as soon as I left Maple Gargage after the supposed repair. I brought the truck back in with concerns and they did not even drive it again and told me nothing was wrong. So I took my truck into Golden Triangle for proper repair for $975.19. They told me all the rotors were warped. When I called Maple Garage to discuss and request a refund, Matt says he cannot refund the $702.03. Clearly installed damaged parts, if at all! I took my Subaru here to get the A/C fixed. The first time it wasn't fixed after a couple hundred bucks. They offered to take another look at no cost when it stopped working within a week. After further repairs, it stopped working again in a week or so. I took it back for an additional repair that cost about $100. After a week or so again it wasn't working. Very frustrating and while staff was friendly all the back and forth was frustrating. Update: I really appreciate Jeremy's thoughtful response below, and want to add that he and his team were always friendly and professional during our interactions. My review may not be indicative of their success in servicing other makes/models with other types of issues. Because of this, I am updating my rating from two to three stars. Would give 0 stars if possible. Incredibly unhappy that a) they massively overcharged for an oil change and b) tried to convince me to replace perfectly good brakes. Brought my car in for a routine oil change and also mentioned that my brakes were a bit squeaky. They charged $170 for an oil change (way too much!) and left the inside of my car grimy and greasy. They told me that I needed to replace pads + rotors for $800, which I thought was suspicious given I'd had brakes replaced in August. I did not consent and took my car to get other opinions. The next auto shop told me I had 8mms on my brakes and they were no where close to needing to be replaced. read more

Took my Jeep Cherokee trail hawk into the garage a few months ago for a few issues. They charged me an arm and a leg. Worst part is they added 2 extra quarts to my oil. If I could give 0 stars I genuinely would. This company only cares about taking your money. I originally called this shop for issues with a 2019 Nissan Versa. It needed a oxygen sensor repair as well as a belt repair. Less than a week later the car is back to acting funky. Stalling & shaking. Both myself and my mom called from Tennessee explaining we've paid over 1200$ & the car isn't even drivable to make it to work. Matt told me he could do nothing for me until Wednesday of next week... claiming they were booked & busy and closed for the 4th of July. Had it been his daughter , mom, or wife stranded he would've moved mountains to probably have the issue immediately fixed. For his customers ?? Well I guess we're left to figure it out on our own. Kind of funny how when I originally needed the repair they got me in next day. Now that it's a mechanical problem on their side , they can't do anything for me until next week. Don't go here. Maple Garage takes your money and doesn't provide the service they guarantee. Maple Garage charged me their full diagnostic fee ($135) under the understanding that they were comfortable looking into my engine knock noise, and it seems like they did nothing but turn it on for 30 seconds and confirm that there was a noise. Before I brought it in, I confirmed with them over the phone that there was something they could do beyond just listening to it. When I picked my car up, they said they didn't even take off the oil pan. When I inquired more about what they did, the guy started rambling off some assumptions of what could be wrong with the engine, but it was clear that none of these diagnostics were based on an actual analysis of the car. I wish I could upload a picture of the receipt but all it says is "Dealer told him the vehicle needs a new engine. Tech confirmed that there is internal engine damage. Recommends replacing engine." You can tell they didn't even look at the car because my "low-tire pressure" indicator was on and they didn't even bother to fill the tire. I was getting a second opinion, and assumed that Maple Garage would confirm the dealer's diagnosis that the engine was bad, but I also assumed that I'd be paying them to do some work, not just come up with hypotheticals. Anyone could hypothesize that the engine was bad by listening to it, but I brought it into a garage with tools and "professionals" to get an opinion based on real research. I was hoping that based on what the specific problem was with the engine, that they could potentially offer some alternate solutions, but it is clear they didn't even know what the specific problem could be. I was still willing to give the shop some amount of money, even if they just hypothesized, but the shop was stubborn and charged me the full $135 saying they did the "work." I don't think it's fair to charge customers the full fee if the shop barley touched the car and provided no details. I will not be returning to this shop. read more

I strongly discourage everyone reading this from going to Maple Garage. I recently took my car into Maple garage for them to replace my alternator. Long story short, they did a sloppy job that lead to my car breaking down abruptly on the middle of the highway, which put me at extreme risk. Parts weren't fully tightened and came loose while I was driving. When I returned to them and explained what happened, they were very casual about their mistake that could've cost my life. They simply responded, "yea, we know, we talked about it." Not only was my car broken down in the middle of the highway, where fast-moving cars could easily have driven into me, but their carelessness also caused police involvement, heavy traffic, two different tows, numerous Ubers, and a day of work lost. If I could rate this place zero stars I would. Do yourself a favor and read the one star reviews. It reflects their work. These guys are basically criminals. On March 24th I called Maple Garage due to a significant oil leak coming from my car. Matt answered and said to bring it in and they would look at it and see what was wrong and do a diagnostic. I brought it in promptly at 8:00 am. It wasn't until after 12:00 pm that they got the car in. They stated the oil leak was coming from broken oil valve cover gaskets. They quoted me at $1,171.54 not including tax. They stated this was due to labor of the job. They said it would be done by noon the next day. At 12:30 pm on Friday March 25th, I followed up and they claimed it was ready. I came in and paid and they said it was fixed. They also charged me to clean and pressure wash the oil that had leaked everywhere. Throughout the weekend, it seemed like the oil was still dripping. I parked my car in a different spot and indeed it was still dripping badly. I called Maple Garage and they said they did not have time to recheck the issue for a WEEK!! I decided to call Mile High Honda after reading several VERY poor reviews about Maple Garage. Mile High Honda took the car in and stated that that the oil leak was very bad and had not been fixed whatsoever. There was also zero evidence that it had been cleaned. Mile High Honda quoted that it was leaking "badly". They charged $812.72 in labor as part of the cost. This is criminal. As far as Mile High Honda could see, they replaced the valve cover gaskets and did absolutely nothing else. The leak was bad and still present. I paid $1,201.42 to Maple Garage for all of this and need a refund. They are now having a history of poor and dangerous work bordering a scam. I need a refund as I had to pay Mile High Honda to do the job correctly. After finding out that they did the job incorrectly, the same day I took it into Mile High Honda (March 29).. Matt, was very rude and said they fixed the leak and hung up on me, stating they would not refund it. read more

This is one of those garages where one walks through the door and feels like the people behind the desk really know what they're doing, will explain to you what's going on with your vehicle, and a sense of integrity and trust is available for the customer. I just completed my third inspection on my car (one of those inspections was from a non-profit organization that has no monetary incentive so I trust their opinion). When I took my car into Maple Garage, they told me that I needed to fix my rear struts immediately and that it would cost $1800 (along with some other erroneous repairs!) According to all three of the other mechanics, I was informed that my rear struts were just fine. The other three mechanics and I have concluded that Maple Garage tried to charge me $1800 for services that I did not need. I feel very, very exploited and taken advantage of. Admittedly, I do not know a lot about cars. Now, that I've spoken to three other mechanics, I feel like Maple Garage tried to manipulate me. They were very, very kind at the front desk but, behind the scenes, they tried to charge me for services I did not need. Maple Garage -- I just want you to personally know that when I came into your shop, I was (and still am) unemployed and desperately trying to make ends meet. When I was charged $1800 for these outrageous services, I was overwhelmed with anxiety that I would not be able to afford rent or basic necessities. At that time, I was seriously contemplating using all of my savings to pay for these car expenses (which, now I know, I do not need). I woke up every day in a panic thinking that I may have to decide between paying rent or fixing my car. What you did was very, very corrupt. You took advantage of someone who did not know much about cars. And, in the process, made my life a living hell. Had I not followed my instincts and gotten another opinion, I would have handed over all of my savings and been unable to pay rent. I just want you to know that because you need to know how your greed effected me...and, I'll make sure that I share this experience via Yelp and Word-of-Mouth with anybody and everybody who seeks an honest recommendation for a car mechanic. read more

A "LOCAL" GARAGE THAT YOU CAN REALLY TRUST ALL THE WAY! I own an older/steady sedan & newer/expensive SUV. I have been not only satisfied with my experiences of automotive service at Maple Garage, but truly feel like their service and quality of work is over-the-top. I've always received fair and even sometimes under-market pricing, efficient turnaround, and great communication. I feel like they especially watch out for my old/steady sedan so I can keep it going well beyond 200k - so important to me and my finances! The management appears to go out of their way to sustain high quality in their parts, and in their employees. While sometimes it's inconvenient that they are closed weekends, I think this attracts better mechanics that enjoy their job and don't get burnt out such that quality of work drops.
