Seating area consists of 3 tables, and they've got one of those mini arcade games for the kiddos as well. Overall pretty small dining area but Gustine isn't a big city so didn'texpect a ton of seating. Menu is displayed on a couple of monitors in the wall as you come in. The pasta is cooked in an open kitchen right behind the counter as you order. Pretty neat to be able to watch them make your order. Ordered the Volcanic Fettuccine because who doesn't like a spicy Italian dish right? Got it in a bread bowl with added chicken so cost was just shy of 20 bucks because of the upgrades. Didn't end up eating on site because it was really close to closing time for them and didn't want to be "that guy" so took my order home. The fettuccine was really good, cooked well, and the sauce was actually spicy. Not as spicy as I was hoping it would be, but it did have a nice kick. I'd definitely have it again. Overall, nice family run place with home made pasta. Would have ordered a pizza, but they ran out of pizza dough, since it is house made they don't have any extra in the fridge/freezer like you'd expect at a lot of places. If you are in the Gustine area looking for some really good home made pasta check them out. Definitely worth the drive.

I decided to try the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken in a bread bowl and hubby had volcanic fettuccine with chicken. The chicken and Alfredo were seasoned. Unlike other places where everything is so bland. I cannot recommend Pasta 209 enough. If you are ever in Gustine between 3-8, stop by and give it a try! It is yummy!!!!

I was genuinely blown away by the difference. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. I had the Alfredo and the rigatoni, and both were solid. The pizza wasn't my favorite part of the meal, but the bread with the dipping oil and the rest of the food more than made up for it. They also have filtered regular water and filtered soda water, which I definitely appreciate. Somehow that small detail always tells me a place cares. The next time I'm back in Monterey, I'll definitely stop here again. Also, just a heads-up I had a better time here, made better memories, and still spent less than I did at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. At least here, the food was actually worth looking at.

But my love for pasta is simply too strong,I just can't eliminate it completely. After all, carbs make me happy. So I made a deal with myself: I treat myself to truly great pasta just once a month. When that craving hits, this is the place I come to. The fresh pasta has the perfect texture and bite, and every sauce is rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. Every visit reminds me that life's all about balance and when the pasta is this good, it's worth every bite.

There are so many pasta dishes available all over the city. Sometimes you just want to take some pasta home and boil some Angel hair and add sauce. There is a place which you can either dine in and enjoy pasta or make the pasta at home. There are two locations in SF but this one is located in the Richmond District and it is called the Pasta Supply Co. On Summer stroll on Clement street I walked inside the Pasta Supply Co. Inside is part restaurant and the other half grocery store. It is also reminds me of a deli counter with lots of pasta available like Angel hair spaghetti which goes well with my tofu spaghetti recipe. They also have different sauces by the bucket. You will find different types of ravioli like mushrooms and another with 4 cheese and another with corn like some in SF. There are lots of dishes to order for dining like lasagna. By this point in the trip, we were fully committed to our "tapas style everything" philosophy. Why order one entrée each when you can create a tiny feast and slowly steal bites off each other's plates with zero shame? Over the two evenings, we shared the Berry Burrata Salad, Beet & Spinach Salad, cauliflower, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dungeness crab cakes, Angel Hair Pasta with shrimp, and lava cake. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the kind of texture that makes Italians nod approvingly from a distance. The crab cakes were flavorful and satisfying, and the beet salad thankfully avoided the tragic fate of being "healthy but boring." The lava cake was gloriously decadent and absolutely understood its assignment. The ahi tuna was good, though I wished for a bit more flavor to stand up to the wasabi situation happening on the plate. The Berry Burrata Salad was the only dish that felt a little sleepy. The berries seemed more decorative than committed. In a region overflowing with gorgeous local strawberries, I wanted the salad to lean harder into its fruity potential. Cocktail-wise, the pomegranate margarita was refreshing, balanced, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Service was a mixed bag between the two nights. The first evening, our server gave off strong "this table again?" energy, and we had to remind her about bread. Meanwhile, one of the chefs stopped by to warmly thank us for dining there, which completely shifted the tone and genuinely stood out. Night two was a different experience altogether. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel much more relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is lovely, warm, comfortable, with that slightly old-school elegance that makes you want to linger over another drink and pretend you are not in your hiking clothesq
