We sat at the bar and they gave my toddler a bag of toys to play with - incredibly kind. We started with the caviar/sour cream and onion potato skins and grilled oysters. Everything was delicious. We then had the little gem salad and the "beer can" chicken - I wanted to lick the plate. Sitting at the bar was great, it had an excellent vibe and did feel stuffy. Walking around the restaurant I could see the attention to detail while also maintaining a laid back neighborhood feel. Can't wait to go back

I've been twice and sat at the bar both times. first visit was with hubby so we ordered the fried chicken and had a few sides...the chicken is juicy and crispy and oh so flavorful...even better with their signature hot sauce! visit 2 i was with my daughter so we opted for a salad and the chicken strips w/ fries. totally doable for out appetite. Looks teeny tiny when it comes out to you but was more than satisfying. i personally love the strips (easier to eat)...but try both for yourself! the service is stellar and the atmosphere is nice. a little warmer in the bar area vs the dining area (where the bathroom is) so choose accordingly. they also have a small patio with seating also. looking forward to visit #3... and make sure to check out the JCB lounge around the corner to satisfy your champagne (and wine) cravings

The service is attentive and friendly and there's a generally welcoming vibe when you walk through the door. The menu has a good variety that includes pasta and pizza dishes as well as some delicious antipasti / appetizers. I would love to come back and try more items on the menu, but I came here with my parents and we actually ate not too long prior to visiting. A few days before visiting the area, my brother showed me a video of how they make fresh mozzarella in house and I really, really wanted to try it. In addition to the fresh mozzarella dish, I got a glass of wine and we ordered some calamari. Watching them, serve the fresh mozzarella at the table with such a delight. The mozzarella dish and the calamari were both delicious. This area seems to be a slightly more busy part of town, but this place has a large lot and we found parking really easily. It was also on a weekday.

I've visited a couple of times with my family, and each visit reinforces why this spot is so beloved. The atmosphere is effortlessly inviting, especially the relaxing outdoor seating, which feels perfectly suited to the easy pace of Napa Valley. It's casual, comfortable, and ideal for lingering over a good meal with people you enjoy. The food consistently delivers. Their calamari is a favorite--crispy, well-seasoned, and reliably delicious--and the pizza never disappoints, with a satisfying balance of fresh toppings and a perfectly cooked crust. Everything tastes fresh, comforting, and simply yummy in the best way. Service deserves special mention: the employees are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the experience feel warm and unrushed every time. Pizzeria Tra Vigne strikes a wonderful balance between quality food and relaxed dining, making it a place we're always happy to return to.

We had genuinely engaging conversations with Madison and Chris throughout the night, which honestly primed me to appreciate the cuisine even more. The oysters were local and tasted like they'd been pulled out of the ocean about five minutes earlier! The steak arrived fast and to perfection. It felt like pure opulence. Peace. Refinement…read more Forum at Meadowood shines in these areas and the food is generally incredible. I dined here for dinner recently since I was in the area for a conference. The dining room was nearly empty, making it feel as if we had the entire place to ourselves. Service was warm, friendly, and professional without being stufy. Ambiance matches the food. You are enmeshed in a peaceful sanctuary, enveloped by the lush greenery outside. Soft, tasteful music accompanies. The food is very good, at times superb, with attractive, precise platings. Appetizers and shareables shine. Free Bread Course (5/5) - outrageously tasty. Some of the best focaccia I've had, with their absurdly good estate olive oil to dip in. Difficult to not eat too much of this. Meadowood Farms Spring Green Salad (5/5) - $22 - Ridiculously fresh vegetables picked from Meadowood's own garden. The top-level freshness reminded me of vegetables at Single Thread. Globe Artichoke Confit (5/5) - $26 - Perhaps my favorite dish of the evening, oozing umami flavor, with crispy trumpet mushrooms and artichoke hearts swimming in a bed of delectable tomato concasse. The accompanying estate olive oil is some of the best I've had. Liberty Farms Duck Leg Confit (4.5/5) - $42 - Tough for me to ever pass up duck confit, and this version did not disappoint. The accompanying blackberry beet reduction was perfect. Arroz Caldo (3.5/5) - $19 - The only slight disappointment of the night. The shredded chicken was moist, but the ginger favorite was overwhelmed by the overabundance of salt. Chocolate Pot de Creme (4/5) - $16 - Pretty good, with rich, deep chocolate notes, but we were probably too full at this point to fully appreciate. They have a nice coffee program here as well, as we enjoyed an espresso and americano. All told, a very enjoyable dinner! Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Value: 4/5 Total for two, all-in, with one cocktail and two coffees: $230

The patio is not crazy hot in the summer as it is shaded. I've tried both the tasting and the prix fixe with add-ons ofc. There is nothing I don't like, but I do have a few favs, such as the pig ears and the caviar pretzel. I can't remember too much, I am typically buzzed by the time I arrive and drink more along the way... We ended up having our reception at Press in one of the more enclosed patio areas, and it was so lovely to be able to share the lovely food and drinks with my favorite people and all our dogs! The staff was super attentive and made me an extra special menu to take home in addition to all the customized menus. Shout out to Frankie for hosting us so perfectly. Everyone had an awesome time and could not stop raving about the food and the service. FYI the patio can be closed in the winter. I can't wait to be back in Napa and Press!

While the restaurant setting was beautiful and the service was fine, my husband and I found the…read morefood underwhelming for a Michelin-starred restaurant. We opted for the four-course prix fixe menu, and many of the dishes felt more focused on technique than flavor. Throughout the meal, several flavor combinations didn't work and many dishes leaned either salty, one-note, or bland. APPETIZERS Chips and dip: This consisted of salmon skin paired with what seems to be their attempt at elevated guacamole. The salmon skin could have benefited from some seasoning, while the guacamole was too citrus-forward that it overwhelmed the avocado. We were also served an asparagus welcome drink that tasted like asparagus water with light cream which did not taste good. Sumac-cured halibut: The very tart vinaigrette overpowered everything in this dish. American wagyu tartare: Overall okay. Lacked a kick that would have made it memorable. Lobster chawanmushi: Chawanmushi was silky and the lobster was perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed the green curry foam, although it leaned salty. The pickles were also quite sour. Caramelle with truffles: Delicate corn flavor, but the dish felt bland overall and the truffle was barely noticeable. ENTREES Black truffle-glazed chicken: Impressive technique with sausage stuffed beneath the skin and tender chicken. Unfortunately, the sausage was overly salty and tart, which overpowered the chicken and any truffle flavor. This was supposed to be some kind of award-winning dish, but it didn't live up to its reputation. King salmon: The biggest disappointment of the meal. We were told king salmon is fattier than a salmon like sockeye, but the cuts were lean. We were also told it would be served mostly raw with a sear. It came to us with very little sear and no seasoning we could appreciate. It also came with a cucumber-based sauce which added little flavor. Overall, this was a bland and uninspired dish. It might as well have been served like sashimi for a more enjoyable experience. DESSERTS Smoked yogurt panna cotta: Refreshing but lacked any noticeable smokiness. Vanilla and champagne parfait: Overpowered by the alcohol. At the end of the meal, they gave us calamansi jelly and bonbons. The jelly was so sour it was nearly mouth-puckering. The bonbon was fine. To the restaurant's credit, the pacing of dish service was good and courses arrived in a timely manner without a huge gap in between them. Michelin-starred restaurants can be a hit or miss and, unfortunately, PRESS falls into the latter category for us.

The menu pulls off a rare balancing act, offering French, Mexican, and American cuisines without feeling like it was assembled by a culinary committee with commitment issues. Each style holds its own, from elegant French touches to bold Mexican flavors and comforting American classics. The wine selection is thoughtfully curated and perfectly proportionate--robust enough to excite wine lovers, but not so massive that you need a sommelier and a flashlight to get through it. Even better, the happy hour is refreshingly approachable cost-wise, making it dangerously easy to order "just one more" glass. Adding to the experience was our waiter, Arthur, who struck the ideal balance between attentive and entertaining. Knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly unfazed by our enthusiasm for both food and wine, Arthur made the evening feel relaxed and fun--like dining with a professional who enjoys his job. When we arrived the restaurant was packed, but we were got a very friendly greeting and were seated immediately. Our waitress, Brook, was really friendly and professional. The wait worked togethrr as a team and even the manager helped out with bussing tables-true professionals! As we had a reservation for dinner at Bouchon, we wanted something smaller so my wife and I got the house salad and the cup of chili. The salad was a good portion and loaded with toppings including hard boiled egg, homemade croutons, cheese, etc. And dressed just right. The "cup" of chili was a good sized bowl. It was the best chili I've ever had in a restaurant! Plenty of beef with a mix of cubed (chili cut) and ground beef. The spice level was just right, no added hot sauce needed, topped with cheddar and raw onion. My wife couldn't finish hers, but after finishing mine, as much as I wanted to I couldn't either! This may be a long review for salad and chili but the service made Rutherford Grill one of our best meals in Napa. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.
