    Cobb Turkey Sandwich
    Brent L.

Prices listed are May, 2024 This is a good place for a weekday brunch or lunch. We stopped by and had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Turkey Cobb Sandwich - both were solid choices at $15 each. The food overall is really good. They have sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Plenty of options, but the menu stays simple, which I appreciate. They also have a nice selection of regional draft beers, heads up though: they're only 14 oz, not pints, and they cost $8 each. Service was decent, nothing over the top but no complaints either. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want good, straightforward food

Giving 3 stars bc parking is hard and the cocktails were meh, waited super long for 2 drinks but the waitress was nice.

Honestly, I love this restaurant. The ambiance, the location, and the food always hit the spot for me. We've ordered the nachos which are delicious and a very generous portion. We've also ordered a burger & sandwich which were both excellent. They serve a variety of cocktails and all of the ones I've tried have been great. Service has always been quick and they're very polite. It's a great spot for a later date night to just talk and relax over a drink.

02 Mar 2024 This review is mainly for the Country Club Chicken Salad plate. Really good. Along with the generous tasty portion of chicken salad (chicken, onions, pineapple or mango?, celery, salt and pepper), there is a bunch of large grapes, raw broccoli served with a honey lemon vinaigrette, strawberry slices, cherry tomato slices and a mango gelatin mold. It is quite a lot of food. Check out the picture. The one drawback about the restaurant is that they insist on keeping the place so cold. It feels so good when the A/C cycles off for a minute. Service was great and happily got me more of the vinaigrette when I asked. Go there.

The perfect location for your next date night! We came here without a reservation on a Saturday night, which was not our best decision, but it worked out! We were able to sit at the bar immediately and it truly made this experience all the better. We were able to look at all the food as it was being made which made decision making challenging, because everything looked SO GOOD! The ambiance was chill, the service was good and the food was amazing. We ordered the nachos to start and a couple drinks. I'm a ginger fan, so I ordered the ginger drink. It was a 10/10 in my eyes, but I know not everyone will agree. My boyfriend ordered a mule and a margarita. I would order all of these again! As for the food, we started with the nachos. They were served on a huge platter, fresh out the pizza oven. Easily the best nachos I've ever had! I am forever ruined on nachos from all other restaurants. The final bake in the oven is the smartest thing I've ever seen done with nachos. At this point, we were pretty full, again these nachos were quite the generous serving, so we split the antelope burger. It had a wonderful bacon jam on top and came with crisp home potatoe chips. Overall, a wonderful experience! My boyfriend has brought up cappuccinos every week since this date night, so will absolutely be working this in to o ur regular rotation. Definitely check them out!

We love Cappyccino's. While the atmosphere is underwhelming, the cocktails and food selections are spot on. We stop in not for a fancy meal. Instead, we drop by for quick bites while visiting or passing thru Alamo Heights. My fav is the white bean nachos with grilled chicken. The open bar is always good for your favorite cocktail. Highly recommend when in the area.

Larb Salad and Southwest Chicken Cobb.

I have had this restaurant on my suggested places to go for a while and finally went. Man, am I glad I did. To start we had the soft pretzel. Absolute perfection. I had the chicken larb salad and my friend had the SW Chicken Cobb. I am a larb aficionado, so I was worried I would hate it. I didn't. However, it was very salty - something I love but some may not. They may want to use a little less fish sauce. Coleman and Tiffany were most present during our meal. It is obvious that all of the staff are fine dining trained as the service was impeccable. I cannot wait to go back to experience more of the menu. One of the servers told us that their hamburgers are made with Texas Wagyu beef. Something I am looking forward to. Well done!

I was recently found out about Cappyccino's by some family and was able to go last week, and I am so happy that I did! I had two Espresso Martinis, a steak melt with a Caesar salad and a sticky toffee pudding and everything was amazing! I sat at the bar and the service was phenomenal throughout my experience there. I will definitely find time to go back because this place might have become my new favorite restaurant

The service was quick and the food was amazing. One of the best meals I've had in a while. The burger was full of flavor and the salad was delicious. A perfect place for lunch.

This place never disappoints for unique offerings that taste great. I've learned to trust what they pair up and have never had anything that I didn't love. Always great staff and it's nice to sit by the windows that face out on Broadway too.

We love coming to Cappycino's for lunch on the weekend - their sister restaurant next door is also delicious for brunch and dinner.

Our go to after show or party. We always, must have the cheesy potatoes! A wonder for all to enjoy! Over loaded homemade kettle chips, loaded with cheese and bacon! You will fight over the last chip on the plate! They also have a great cocktail menu and huge variety of bourbons and whiskey! A must try

When I tell you it had been years since I visited Cappyccino's, I mean it was over 7 years. So I was really looking forward to going back. I remembered food being consistently delicious and an excellent coffee variety. I have to say they didn't disappoint on this last visit. I ordered their veggie burger with grilled mushrooms, poblano, onion and Swiss ($12) and an Elderflower Tea ($8). Loved both. The hamburger was perfect with that smoky poblano taste and it came with a small side salad. I did feel the salad needed a bit more dressing, but nonetheless, it was very good. The cocktail definitely hit the spot. It wasn't too sweet and it was very refreshing. Correspondingly, the atmosphere of Cappyccino's is very warm and welcoming. Located in the perfect Alamo Heights spot, it has a very comfortable bistro feel. Our waiter was very charming and entertaining. It is a place that invites you to stay and visit with friends and family just a bit longer. It has made it to my best lunch/brunch list. So glad I finally ate here again. We

My go to meal the is Howard. Scrambled eggs with crab topped with a lobster tail. So so good. Even the little bread/muffin basket they serve you before the meal is great. Lemonade is delicious. My son had pancakes and bacon and inhaled them. His mother always gets the pot roast. She wasn't disappointed. I will say although the gumbo is decent, it's not the best I've had. The roux is very dark which gives it a slight burned taste. But the flavors are there. All in all love Cappy's. I won't make the mistake of staying away so long again.

Unfortunately, the experience changed once we were seated. Our waiter was incredibly short and came across as rude throughout the meal. When we asked for recommendations or some of his favorite menu items, his response was essentially, "I don't know what you like," rather than offering any guidance. The service somehow felt rushed even though the food itself came out slowly, and there were very few check-ins during the meal. When it came time for dessert, we asked to see a dessert menu and were simply told, "It's on the menu you have," which summed up the lack of hospitality we experienced at the table. I ordered the Mustang Chicken, and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The chicken was fatty, full of tendon, and tasted more like a frozen piece of chicken that had been dropped into a deep fryer than something I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. It's disappointing because the restaurant has a great atmosphere and our experience at the bar started off so well. Unfortunately, between the table service and the quality of the food, I would not recommend Cappy's based on this visit.

We also had the snapper throats and loved them. The aioli was a great sauce with them. I had the gulf catch of the day, which was grouper, and it was so good. Great seasoning, perfectly flaky and moist, a nice crust on the outside. With that we had some jalapeno corn bread which was also delicious. Not too dry at all. I was hoping for it to be spicy but it was not. For dessert, I gad panna cotta and it was a great ending. Not too sweet, but the berries made up for that. This review I dug up is from a while ago, things may have changed…read more February 2020 was my first time at Savor (CIA) restaurant in the Pearl complex of San Antonio. By going on a Wednesday (around 7:30 PM) we were able to find parking and be seated without a reservation, but I recommend planning ahead other nights as the area gets very busy (and noting their hours). It was a pretty compact space, no lighting issues, but also quite noisy. My companion and I had to concentrate on each other to carry on conversation. We each ordered the four course menu, which lets you pick one of an item from each course, and I added a wine flight. We each took a bite of each other's food for maximum exploration. Keep in mind this is a training restaurant, and part of the proceeds go toward culinary scholarships. I can distill the experience into three points: The food was very good, the chefs-in-training are talented; The wine flight was disappointing; The server was warm but still in need of training. Dishes I got to try include the Hamachi Crudo, Steamed Blue Mussels, Tartar Brulee, Strip Sirloin, Grilled Pork Tenderloin and Belly, and Chocolate Souffle. The Hamachi was excellent, as were the mussels with potatoes and garlic (someone didn't share her chorizo with me). The main course strip sirloin was also excellent, and better than the grilled pork I chose. The steak was tender and moist. I gravitate toward pork belly items, but this pork was a tad dry. The chocolate souffle wowed my partner, but I found the cocoa note not to be to my liking, perhaps too bitter. I should add that the plates are quite small, so you may not leave full if you're very hungry. Before going into the negative, let me say the food was a fun experience, and I'd go back for another multi-course meal, or to explore the bar bites menu. The wine flight was a letdown, as it was small pours of mild wine, served with two word descriptions, one of which was plain wrong. I don't drink much wine, but I've had enough to know that these wines were probably chosen to be the least offensive. A small pour of a bold drink can have quite some value, but the small pours exacerbated the boringness. The wine service largely informs my opinion the server needs improvement/was likely early on her training rotation. I also had to plate swap with my companion when I was served her mussels. People trying and improving are to be expected at a training or test kitchen, so I appreciate her effort and ability to keep my water glass at least half full. We ended up being quite happy with the food and experience, which was good overall as a date night, but could've been better with a revamp of the wine pairing, or me electing not to have wine. I can't see myself going on my own given the price point of the courses, but I like to treat my partner. I'd recommend it if you're curious about the budding chefs or specific menu items, but be wary of the wine flight.
