Best pizza I've had in the Midwest. Rivals New York pizza. Simple yet delicious menu with premium ingredients. Salads are well thought out, pizzas are perfectly cooked. Not too expensive for what you get. The interior is awesome and they reuse old vinyl records for menus. Haven't drank beers but they have a good selection of craft beers. Definitely spend the extra 3 dollars here for a pizza instead of a chain! read more

This is one of our favorite pizza places. Our favorite is the Cappy's calzone and the Greek salad. They are delicious. We have also gotten the New York and Chicago which are great too. We often get it for carry out, but when we have eaten there we have been very pleased with the servers and the atmosphere. Great place for date night! read more

We were in town and craving pizza, so we checked the Yelp reviews and found that Cappy's was just down the street from our hotel. We ordered carry out, but the restaurant itself is quaint with a hip vintage vibe. We ordered NYStyle pizza which was on point! We also ordered Caesar and Greek salads which were good, but not necessarily remarkable. There was also a great variety of unique beers available for carry out. Super service and incredibly friendly staff. Well worth the visit! Highly recommend! read more

Close to home Pizza parlor. Not my favorite Za by any means, it certainly beats the majority of pies served locally. Inside, it's not very spacious, but there are booths and a few tables. Wait staff changes frequently, so the level of service is hit or miss. Be nice if they offered occasional specials like other establishments do, particularly on Tuesdays. Price is pretty much in line with all of the other pizza places in town. No beers on tap, just a wine cooler where you grab your own bottle or can. read more

Stopped by to order a pizza for carry out. I hadn't eaten here for 3 years since there are many pizza joints in the area. Thought I'd give it a try. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a large Greek salad to go. The pizza tasted good, but was very greasy. The Greek salad had no olives, but tasted ok. I called and they told me they must have forgotten to put them. For a $10 salad I was disappointed that it wasn't better. We probably will not be eating here again. The best freaking Greek salad on the planet!!!! It's my weekly go to dinner! Top that off with one of their amazing pizzas and it's a date! the staff is super friendly and service is always fantastic. They do have an incredible beer selection also!!! The calzone was fit for two. I could barely eat half of it before getting full. Filled with meat and cheese. One of the best I've had. The value was ridiculous. A calzone the size of a big plate and I was able to get it for less than $10. Highly recommend. To top it all off they had trivial pursuit cards at the table to look at/play while eating and waiting. read more

This place is a real gem. Nice ambiance, very low key. We were seated within minutes of arrival. The wait staff were meticulous with cleaning off the table before we sat. We looked around and all of the pizzas looked so good on all the tables around us. The waitress we had was very friendly and attentive. Now to the good stuff. We ordered a large (16") plain cheese NY style pizza. It came out of the oven super quick and we dove in. People, this is some seriously good pizza. Maybe it was because when I called to order a large pepperoni pizza for pick up, they quoted me a 2 hour wait (?). I picked it up a little less than 2 hours later and the pizza was barely warm and smelled off-putting. I took 1 bite and couldn't finish. My husband didn't even try it based on the smell alone. our team went here after a soccer tournament on a Saturday night around 730. The woman who waited on us possibly the owner couldn't be any nicer and sweeter to accommodate us, she made us welcome! The food was absolutely outstanding. The Greek salad was so good that next time I'm going to order two portions of it. It's a very family-style meal so you can order many things and share. We loved the pizza!! Decided to visit because of other positive reviews and we are so happy we did. The place shares a building with Coffeesmiths and is easy to find just north of Boyson on C Ave. Not very busy on this Tuesday night, but I bet that changes soon. Very retro decor. We enjoyed looking at the art on the walls and even the salt and peppers shakers unique to each table. Trivial Pursuit young persons version cards on each table were fun to use and won't make you feel stupid. It is a small place but that's part of the charm. Based on other reviews we started with a small Greek salad which is the best I've ever tasted. Our fantastic waitress/hostess, Morgan, made the salad herself. The addition of the house potato salad on the side was pure genius. The small salad fed both my husband and myself with a good amount left over to come home. Morgan boxed it up and stored it in their fridge for us. The large hand tossed Cappy pizza came to us fresh, hot and delicious. We substituted the sausage with bacon and it was perfect. Huge portions! We didn't want to stop eating but we had to take 1/2 the pizza home. Our bill with beer and a fountain drink was about $35. Next time, and we will be back soon, we will get the medium size pizza and salad and I know we'll still have leftovers. Great restaurant! Prices were reasonable. It had the feel of a small family run business. I'm not honestly sure what I can say about this place, went there for my birthday because its close. Service was meh, and there were about 3-4 tables occupied. The bread sticks were good, the pizza just fell flat for me. The sauce while made in house, which i fully appreciate was just bland. Quite sad because I have heard such great things. 1st time in here. Always said we needed to try it when we were up here. After all, the ones in Tampa have been voted best pizza there for 2 or 3 years in a row. Weren't let down.
