I was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and food at this restaurant. We were there for a group event and we had the top reserved for our table of 10. The waitstaff was so friendly and even offered us samplings of a few menu items. Although no one else was seated upstairs, they came regularly to check on us and supplied every request we had. They were courteous and friendly. The seating upstairs has some great windows giving nice mid-morning lights. We were here for brunch. Parking is slightly a hassle as there's some in the back and some along the street. If it's your first time at this restaurant, you might miss where the restaurant is located as it's in a shopping mall filled with boutiques. I ordered the hamburger and fries and was not disappointed. It was filled with all the most delicious extras and had a healthy serving of fries. I took half of the meal home. I tried some of the roasted veggies plate along with the carmelized dessert and roast. All were very good, fresh and well-portioned. The prices are slightly high, but fitting of a restaurant of this caliber. Expect about $15-30 for each entree. They also have some amazing cocktails so make sure to check them out! read more

I went to Cappys for linch today. Third time in three weeks. Ordered a hamburger medium rare. Cost about $21. It came not only well done but the bottom 1/3 was burned to black charcoal. So dry I couldn't get it down plus it smelled like a burned log. How can any restaurant do this to their customers? Impossible for the cook not to know the condition of the patty!!! Shame on you!!!! We came here for Brunch on our anniversary. Parking is a little challenging as the lot seems to be shared and isn't that big. There was some street parking you just might need to walk a bit. To start with we made a reservation and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Without a reservation I could see having to wait a bit. When we were seated we were given a hand written note wishing us a happy anniversary which was just a great touch and was really appreciated. I like to save those but lost that one somehow when leaving. On to the service. I can say that we spent 6 times what we spent here on our anniversary dinner at a different restaurant and didn't get half as great service. Justin was our server and he is a 5 star server. We would come back just for his great service. Seriously he was the best and we do quite a bit of fine dining. The food was really good. I got the gumbo and really enjoyed the flavor. It had a little more of a gravy like rue then I had before but super tasty. My husband got the wedge salad and loved it so much he is trying replicate it at home. We both got the Louie Eggs Benedict. Although good and filling wasn't my favorite I felt it lacked a little salt or seasoning. It felt a little one note. I would prefer mine with the Canadian bacon if I got it again. We got the sticky toffee pudding and that is outstanding! Very rich and flavor, great texture. We wish we would've saved room to finish it all. Overall we can't wait to go back and try dinner there. The only thing we really like was the bread they brought out as a starter. Wow, this place is absolutely delicious! The girls and I decided to take our brunch out on the porch because the weather was sooo beautiful and we're so glad we did. There was a slight breeze in the air and we felt so relaxed chit chatting away underneath the shade of the large umbrellas. We heard that brunch on Sundays does get pretty crowded, so I'd recommend making a reservation before you come. We called ahead to make a reservation for 4 and we were able to get seated as soon as we walked into the door. The Sunday brunch special today was the poboy fish sandwich with chips for $16. I completely underestimated the size of the sandwich and was pleasantly surprised when my girlfriend got her order! I immediately decided to take one to go for the hubs and he LOVED it. He's chowing it down as I type this haha The fish is moist and delicious and the bread is slightly toasted on the inside and soft on the inside. It also came dressed in cole slaw. The chips were also slightly spicy, which I was a huge fan of. SO delicious! I ended up getting the the Ranch Hand with pot roast on polenta cakes. Super generous portions and perfectly cooked eggs! You'd be surprised how many restaurants don't get the runny yoke right. The brisket was also very delicious and full of flavor! My friends and I were in the area and had heard great things about this restaurant. It's situated in a little corner of Broadway, which makes it feel like a well-kept secret. However, one step inside, and you'll know it's a local establishment. Our favorite part of our experience was the service. My husband has a severe tree nut allergy and they were extremely careful and accommodating of his needs. We felt extremely safe eating there. Beyond that, each of our meals was appropriately portioned, delicious, and filling. Given the price, I would've expected more complex flavors, however, I have no complaints. The meat was selected carefully and prepared well by the restaurant. We enjoyed our table under a loft, which, with the dim lighting and wooden tables and chairs, made it feel really intimate and home-y. The food is a bit pricey. I'm not sure I would come back, but I certainly wouldn't keep it off my list if I had a bigger food budget. read more

Our group (sophisticated swans) had an event at this location which was the highlight of our year with Covid in place. We were waited on hand and foot,(extra croutons please).
