    Brunch and lunch menu

The staff is very friendly and patient. Lane provided awesome service. The restaurant is rustic with southern charm. The food is down home, southern charm and hearty. I ordered the steak and eggs and my mom had the green leaf salad with a side of fried chicken. I also got a side of jalapeño cheddar hash browns. Everything was presented well. The only issue was the food was a tad bit salty. The food was seasoned with flavor but it felt as if they finished everything with a final layer of salt. I am a salt forward person so I could definitely tell. They have plenty of options on the menu so I would like to come back and try some more dishes.

Visiting my daughter in San Antonio we decided to visit here before our movie. A little out of the way for us, but less than 5-minutes from the movie theater. So glad my daughter had this place earmarked to visit. Tucked away in a small but quaint shopping center with an outdoor seating area patio too. We decided to sit at the bar because we had less than an hour to order and eat. I'm so glad we did, immediately upon sitting down we had glasses of water and bartender took our wine order. I love checking out the menu before arriving so I can be prepared. We ordered the Pork Belly Biscuit, the Crab Fingers, and as our main course the Half-fried chicken. Let me say, WOW! Everything was amazing and so fresh. Listen, when you are ready to splurge on your diet, go here and have the Fried Chicken. So good, crispy, juicy, tender, flavorful. The stuffed crab fingers are perfect, left in/on the crab shell so very easy to eat and so flavorful. Highly recommend, and the wine/alcohol beverages are a good selection. Bartender was very helpful and courteous. We intend to return to try other items.

Came here for a date night on a Tuesday. It was pretty secluded, pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. Keep your eye out or have your maps going if you're driving down Bitters Rd because it's easy to miss your turn! Service was quick. Staff asked us what we would like as soon as we sat down and made sure our waters were filled. The pumpkin spice martini was interesting. They made it pretty strong and the pumpkin wasn't overpowering. Their pizza was great. It was topped with sausage, kale and goat cheese and wasn't burnt. The grouper was good too but the kale was super salty that sort of overpowered the dish.

I visited during restaurant week, and it was a lovely experience. The service was excellent. Our reservation was at 1:30 PM, and we arrived just as the lunch rush was winding down. It was a beautiful day, and the restaurant was nice and cool inside thanks to the strong air conditioning. We ordered a variety of dishes so we could try as much of the menu as possible. Based on my previous experience with their chicken biscuits, I knew their chicken sandwich would be phenomenal--and it was! Our server brought us extra ketchup without us even having to ask, and all the fixings were delicious, including the pimento cheese, honey lard butter, and citrus dressing. Both desserts were also fantastic. I particularly loved the soft peaches with corn cake, and the candy bar was excellent, especially paired with the peanut butter sauce.

We went for restaurant week and, unlike most places, we actually got a deal: $20 for soup, entree and dessert was less than the menu price. The place is really pretty and the service was excellent.

We came here on a Saturday for dinner. We had reservations and were sat right away. We came at five and probably didn't need the reservations, but it got pretty busy while we were there. The restaurant was quiet and nicely decorated. The inside had a good amount of seating and there was a large patio. Parking is scattered throughout The Alley, but could be tight during breakfast/brunch. Our server was wonderful and attentive. We started with the corn fritters, which came with five fritters and a good amount of the nduja spread. They came out hot and fast and were delicious. I got the burger and my wife got the fried chicken and green beans. The portion sizes were great and the food was amazing. We got the candy bar for dessert and it was incredible, the best dessert we have had in a long time.

The atmosphere and interior design is lovely. The service is wonderful. The food is great but it's definitely a menu created around a simple palette, but easy to enjoy. I've always had so much fun there.

    Espresso Martini and Mimosa

Hands down one of the BEST in San Antonio! I've come here only a handful of times over the years, but Meadow never disappoints. Most recently, I treated myself to brunch. The espresso martini and cinnamon roll were the perfect way to start my meal. The espresso martini was not too sweet, which is the only way to make a great espresso martini, and the cinnamon roll was the perfect combo of ooey gooey cinnamon goodness. For my meal, I ordered a staple. Eggs, brisket and breakfast potatoes with a homemade tortilla. Add on the house hot sauce. I promise you won't forget it. The service was perfect, as expected, and the entire restaurant was in pristine condition. Meadow is located in the ever so beautiful Artisans Alley, so arrive a little early for dinner or stay a little after brunch and check out some of the cute vendors in the area. Overall a 10/10 experience.

    Bacon Egg Cheese Fries

The definition of a hidden gem, literally and figuratively. This cute restaurant has a farmhouse feel with farm fresh food that is to die for. The bacon egg and cheese fries were a perfect starter, especially when paired with a delicious house made Bloody Mary. The steak and eggs were delectable. The NY strip cut was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The eggs were mixed with cheese and were fluffy and flavorful. The arugula had a lemon flavor that was complimentary to the eggs and steak, and the house made hot sauce hollandaise was the perfect topper for the perfect bite. The biscuit was soft and flaky and the apple butter (not pictured) made it even more delicious. Our server Maddie was wonderful and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We'll be back for another girl's brunch soon to try even more of the menu!

Return visit to Meadow and the food and service are still 5 star. Plus it's a great place to walk around, window shop at the small businesses and relax with friends and family.

Service was a bit off putting, saw 5 employees, bartender to the left upon arrival never even looked up at us or the people at the bar in the 5 awkward minutes we stood there, was a quiet time of day and not one person looked up or away from their conversation amongst themselves...we waved at the folks in the kitchen and we got seated eventually after advising we had a reservation for my birthday. Server advised everything is made to order and there's usually a wait on main dishes so she recommended ordering starters, that was great but mid conversation we overheard the kitchen right behind us say something and she immediately left...explained since stuff is made to order they all gotta respond to expo dishes asap...which made sense except for the fact our food was served lukewarm and the same sense of urgency didn't seem to apply for our meals...it was also explained food is locally sourced and organic in most cases but the American cheese square "Kraft" like slice threw off the flavor of the biscuit It was ok but none of us finished the side of the biscuit with that cheese on it...it was maybe an off day but for a birthday brunch we left disappointed. We gave stars for the butter and the warm pieces of the cinnamon roll and tiny banana bread that we did manage to taste which we thought would be awesome if we got it warm the hash brown looked promising but was soggy on the bottom...was quiet indoors and a nice set up in general

I will say the GPS got a little confused in the route for some reason and I nearly missed an exit and even the entrance (there was some construction going on) There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot was pretty full. You walk up and either walk through the courtyard style Biergarten with tables or you can go inside. It was an unseasonably nice day, so, we opted to sit outside There is a QR code to view the menus. There are entrees and plenty of apps/sharables. There is also a very extensive beer menu. Make no mistake, this is their bread and butter. They boast an imprecise "99 beers on tap." There's local brews, light and dark beers, hoppy, Belgium style, German style, wheat, etc etc etc. if that's not your speed there are cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Our server was fantastic. She was very kind and patient with us. We were constantly checked in on, but not in a hovering way or a pressure to leave. Our food and drinks always came out in a timely manner. She made us feel well taken care of The drinks hit the spot, and the food was tasty. It was definitely a chill vibe/hang. We were there for hours just catching up, and we saw other happy hours, birthday parties, dates, bachelorette parties, etc Some tips: I did order a couple beers that they were temporarily out of, but there are so many beers to pivot to. Also, our server was incredibly helpful in offering other suggestions, similar suggestions, and asking the right questions to help land in the next alternative They are not open Mondays, and they're only open until 11pm Tuesday-Thursday (and Sunday). Friday and Saturday they're open til 1am. Also, on Saturdays and Sunday's they offer brunch from 11am-3pm) The Reuben was surprisingly delicious Cheers!!

It's been a while since have done brunch and o won't be in a hurry to return to brunch specifically The service was superb, we had a great server and he was absolutely on top of everything which was great! Beers were also great as was the mimosa I had and the kids we were with seemed to like their meals which came out last and they said theirs were hot - ours were not unfortunately. I had the Lox eggs Benedict and in retrospect should have sent it back as it was stone cold! My husband and our friend got the biscuits and gravy and also reported that they were cold - it was also served in a bowl which was a bad idea as the biscuits completely soaked up the gravy and resembled oatmeal by the time it hit the table! We got one meal - waffles and chicken to go and the waffles were inedible- poorly mixed, gritty and so much hot sauce in the mixture that they burned the back of the throat - they had to be trashed ! I love this place but won't return in a hurry for brunch - granted multiple dishes with eggs are hard to time right so we ended up with cold food that did however taste good

A reviewer mentioned that being here gives the feeling of hanging in someone's wine cellar which is the impression I got as I set foot in here. With the word wine being the in name of the establishment, you will find an extensive selection of wines available by glass and bottle and categorized by white types and red types. Being a Zinfandel guy, the bartender turned me to the Girard "Old Vine" Zinfandel. This is a pricy wine at $25/glass. I enjoyed the hell out of it as it's one of the better Zinfandel's I've ever had. Definitely steep at $25. I probably should've gone with the wine flight which is what my friend did before he switched to a Malbec. I forgot which one he did but the flights are all prearranged to compliment one another. It makes for a nice experience if you're not sure what wine you want to zero in on. As for food, we paired our wine with a charcuterie board. It's a standard board with some baguette slices and a mix of cheeses and meats with a candied jalapeno spread. A very nice compliment to wine. They have happy hour, wine of the month, and a wine/dine theme for every month where they pair wines with a themed menu. Plus sangria is available as well. Also there is wine tasting every Wednesday so the place gets packed from what I heard. But I'd certainly be open to attending one. Can't wait to come back here!
