This is a nice small Italian restaurant located off an alley. Food is good with large portions. Young service staff are friendly. I like the thin crust pizza. Casual atmosphere. I went to Giuliano for the first time and we had pizza and it was amazing and the thin crust was so good, and the service was more then great are waitress was very attentive to our needs including the owner, and the ambiance was very pleasant, but the only problem was that the booth seats were connected together so when the person behind you moves it affects you and when I was there we had kids sitting there who kept kicking his feet on the booth and it was very annoying but besides that everything was great and would definitely go back just not sit in a booth. read more

The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the booths lend a little privacy to an intimate family dinner. Unfortunately, this privacy could potentially be blamed for the lack of service. Maybe if they don't see you, they don't think to check on you? Based on the reviews I have read I should have probably ordered pizza. Instead we ordered Rigatoni a la Vodka and the Shrimp Arrabbiata. The Arrabbiata was excellent, but the Vodka sauce was lacking. So that's a 50/50. Guiliano's is a gem located in Hinsdale Illinois. I am a longtime customer and it is my favorite restaurant. From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcome. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Water is brought to you right away along with some warm bread. Chicken Picatta, Eggplant Parmigiana, Baked Mostaccioli, and Parmesan Crusted Cod are a few of our favorites. The pizza and chocolate fudge cake are delicious. Recently, they have been getting really busy for dine in so make sure to have a reservation especially on a Thursday or a Friday. Giuliano's is a super cute and surprisingly romantic setting for pizza and other Italian delights in the 'burbs. Located on a side street that looks more like a back alleyway, this quaint little gem is deserving of the hunt. This is a place I will definitely be taking my Italian food loving Gramma and Mother. Dimly lit and spacious while offering a variety of beers and wine and still managing to be more than affordable, especially for it's swanky Hinsdale digs. And the exceptional and accommodating staff were the cherry (tomato) on top. We went pretty traditional with pizza (spinach and fresh ricotta) and there Guiliano's salad w/ some crazy delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing. A 16" pie got owned tonight and I can guarantee you that won't be the end of my story. read more

If you live in Hinsdale or Clarendon Hills- then Giuliano's Pizza has got to be on your list of pizza places. While Chicago deep dish has its place- as a non-native, I prefer thin crust pizza (ahh, the agony of it all!!) Giuliano's thin crust large pizza is one of the best I have found here. Piled with toppings, their crispy crust (gotta love the crunch!) allows all the flavors to come through. Ask them to add fresh basil to your toppings and you will have a pizza to talk about. They also have a full menu of other items and do catering but I personally have only had their pizza. This pizza reminds me of the pizza I had as a kid and it is located just a couple of blocks from my house. They have delivery but I prefer to pick it up to get it as hot as possible. A bit hard to find as it faces the alley between Chicago Ave and 1st Street right behind Zazu hair salon but worth the search. Give it a try- you won't be disappointed! read more

The staff is always friendly--usually high school or college kids. Other things on the menu are good too...but it's so hard to skip the pizza when it's this good. There is seldom a wait to be seated. There is a selection of relatively inexpensive wine and beer. Pizza is great: The thin-crust is excellent, and there are many creative toppings. This place has the best alfredo sauce I've tasted in years. It is cooked fresh, and served over a good, chewy linguini. We are always so pleased with Giuliano's! Restaurant pickings are slim in Hinsdale IL, but this is a great place to walk and enjoy not only pizza but their great salads! On our last visit we were walking around the neighborhood with our dog and spontaneously decided that we wanted some wine and pizza. The staff was so friendly and totally welcomed the idea of us eating with our dog outside on their small patio. (so many places these days are becoming un-dog friendly, and I've found this much more the case here in IL) They brought water out for her and showered her with attention. The pizza selection is large with some great gourmet options. I got a great pesto chicken pizza last time and was very impressed. I'm a fan of thin crust, so haven't tried the deep dish yet. But the thin crust here is so crispy and good! The pizza (even the small size) is big, so be prepared to take some home! I like how the nice dining room is seperate from the busy cary out section. I can't vouch for the atmosphere or service because we got ours to go, but the food definitely gets high marks. My dad ordered a sausage & pepperoni pizza. The crust was nice and thin, with a little crisp to it, and the pepperoni was totally awesome - if I were still a kid, I would have picked every slice of pepperoni off of that pie and devoured them all, leaving dozens of conspicuous little holes behind. Seriously good pepperoni. My mom had gnocchi in olive oil & parmesan. The gnocchi was a good texture and consistency but I had trouble getting much flavor out of it. I think it would have been better with a red sauce, or maybe some garlic with the olive oil, but she loved it exactly as it came and ate every last one. I opted for the cheese ravioli with bolognese sauce, and I had similar feelings about this as I had with the gnocchi - that the pasta on its own was a little boring. Giuliano's is the standard babysitter night pizza. I think pretty much every family in Hinsdale orders from here whenever I'm over. And for good reason, it's one of the best pizzas in Hinsdale, in my opinion! The standard order for a family of 3 + a hungry babysitter is a cheese pizza, penne pasta in a vodka sauce, and mozzarella sticks. Everything is awesome- I dream about that pasta. I've never dined in, and the only reason I docked a star is because their delivery is kind of terrible. The guy usually like, stands outside the house and doesn't ring the doorbell but knocks super quietly. Then finally, he calls and complains how he's been standing outside for awhile and no one has come to the door. I absolutely love Giuliano's Stuffed Pizza. This pizza is way better than any other competitor's. It has lot's of cheese but what I like best is the sauce. Very unique and never greasy. I also love their Chopped Salad....excellent dressing which is a one of a kind here. The ambience is super cute with dark hardwood booths and cool bricked walls that are very antique looking. They have a nice granite front desk and cool lattice work candle holder that adds to it's flare here. A great place to chill on a date or with the family. This place has both ambience and excellent food in an out of the way place.....down a hidden alley.....let your date night begin in Hinsdale. The owner and chef Mickey is personable as is his staff.
