Some foodie on the gram hyped this spot up. While parking I saw this big security dude. The surrounding area Definitely didn't give me the vibe that security was needed at 9:30am. Let me start off first by saying I've been making sandwiches for close to 25 years professionally in my kitchen, This place is hands down my favorite bodega on the west coast we don't have enough places like this over here so this is quite the gem. I've had chopped cheeses but you won't find any slop off the block here, there's a lot of finesse in these deli sangwishes refined and carefully constructed. A salute to this fine establishment. I was dying for tacos and/or burritos from Tom's Tacos ( or bootleg Tito's as I call it) but as I checked Yelp for the phone number after my ENT appointment, I found that they aren't open on Mondays. Bummer. What to do? Caps and Corks was a couple of blocks away so I'd have to shift gears and make a new plan. After a quick glance at the menu and a call home to the wife, we decided to order Super Wakey breakfast sandwiches. Loaded with tons of scrambled eggs, hash browns, American cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and sausage on grilled Texas Toast, the sandwiches were gargantuan. More than worth $11.75. My only complaint was the sausage wasn't very flavorful so bacon would have been a better choice to add a bit of saltiness to the mix. As I was waiting, I saw a Snickers flavored iced coffee that sounded interesting but turned out to be disappointing. There was nothing Snickerish about it. I wish they carried Nestle's Quick which is what I actually wanted but there was none to found. I did see 1.75 liter globes of a chili mango cocktail but had no desire to abuse my liver today. Service is always friendly and quick when you call in your order. Never had any problems so far. I do wish they would have thrown in a couple of cups of salsa though. Caps is always good for a quick bite to eat in the Torrance area. Now I just need to get back to Tom's for those darn tacos. read more

My friend and I decided to try this place out on November 2nd 2025 around 7ish pm we arrived looking at the menu standing around for 20 minutes one thing I disliked about the deli area was the glass barrier with frost on it no connection with the guy making the sandwiches. I took a look between the frost and did see somebody there and yet nobody attended us. The flavor and ingredients of the Philly breakfast burrito are all there but it was poorly put together. I got half way thru the burrito before I realized the burrito was so wet because the egg mix they use wasn't fully cooked. There were very few egg curds you'd expect from scrambled eggs. There wasn't much meat either and it was definitely not ribeye. If it did happen to be ribeye it was sliced like brisket you'd get at a KBBQ spot.
