Service was slow-- after being seated, reviewing the menu, making our choices, and waiting a while, we still had to stop a passing waitress to take our drink and food order. We had the clam chowder and crab legs with one side. The chowder was good; the crab legs were hit and miss (Hit: King Crab with Louisiana sauce. Miss: Snow Crab with Butter); the corn and potato sides were fine. No liquor license yet. It's nice to have a Louisiana-style seafood place in the neighborhood, but the better prices, service, and food are worth the trip downtown to Clawdaddy's. read more

Amazing food! I tried Louisiana sauce with king crab, shrimp, mussels. The sauce was addictive I couldn't stop eating!! We mixed the noodles with the sauce and it was just a wow...! I'm definitely going back to try other sauce! You also need to try their soup. England clam chowder and jambalaya was beyond my expectations. Don't forget about dessert. Nice combination of hot, crunch funnel strip with cold sweet nice scoop of ice cream just says it all. THE BEST! It's hard to find this type of restaurant around this area. I am a seafood lover and I must say this has become one of my top 3 seafood spots. I went on a Saturday night with my friend during busy hours, so there was a 40 minute wait, not too bad. I had headless lemon pepper shrimp, garlic noodles and funnel cake fries. It might sound like an odd combination lol but the meal was EVERYTHING! The shrimp was enough to share with another person (if it's a lot for you alone, and another person just wants to try). Both the shrimp and the noodles had potent seasoning. I wouldn't recommend having a sugary drink with this meal, but you can down it with some sparking water and feel fulfilled. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I love cajun sea food. Decided to walk 20 mints to go try this place out and I was really disappointed with the food. 1. Give me sauce not just grease. The seafood had no flavor at all. I couldn't eat it. I had the manager take off some of the grease/butter but still couldn't eat it because it had no flavor. 2. If you have been to hot n juicy crawfish or clawdaddy, you know that the seafood is cooked in the sauce not just grease, and the sauce is the reason why you pay so much because you can buy butter easily and seafood at the grocery store. I never come back. The food cost me about $50 for the boil. 3. The server and manager were really nice tho. They tried to help with the grease but I still couldn't eat it. They have very good service and you can get some coupon when u spend more than $35 which you will ;) Lobster is cheaper than Chelsea Market and order with Louisiana sauce with garlic noodle with lemonade! The food was great and servers were nice. I had the mild spicy Louisiana style shrimp and mussel broiler combo with garlic noodles, served in a plastic bag! We were given bibs and plastic gloves because the meal is messy, so be ready. I like spicy food but my friends suggested I try mild which was a good call. Considering how spicy the mild was I would not go past medium. The meal comes with potatoes and corn which were so tasty. The garlic noodles or fries come with a combo meal. Came here bc there was a 30 min wait at Pisticci. So glad we ended up here. Friendly and attentive service. Hubby and I split a combo with snow crab legs and shrimp with a side (or two ) of the garlic noodles and corn in the bag. We chose the signature Louisiana sauce -medium heat. Sooooo good. Could have gone spicier but we just weren't sure. Next time, we will! And the lemons and Listerine were a nice touch on the bathroom to help get rid of the "funk" -- though my husband insisted on not doing so in order to savor his meal longer. Finally, we had a toddler and baby at home being watched by the MIL. The food was delicious. But I was eating crab. And crab is delicious. Everything else about this place is wrong. The service was incredibly slow. Not the waiter so much, but getting the food out took forever (I wish I knew how long, but I'd guess at least 35-45 min) Mine came with the wrong sauce which turned out to be fine bc it was, like I said, delicious. The serving situation should be outlawed. An unholy use of an exorbitant amount of needless plastic. Single use plastic from forks, bibs, gloves, cooking/serving bags (double bagged), cups, drink sippees. The whole setup so that the crew has no cleanup. No dishes. The damage done to the environment by each meal here is insane. Cheap. And easy. If you're hungry order some sides bc there's not a lot of food in the bag. A single potato and a half (third?) of a cob of corn are more garnish than side and shouldn't be included in description of meal. Check comes. They included gratuity that's fine (although we were a party of five) except they didn't mention included gratuity anywhere that we saw AND then included "suggested tip amount" at the bottom of the credit card receipt. It's an okay place for a boil especially in the Harlem area. Drinks for happy hour were great I had the Blue Caribbean I think it was called then I had the 2 combo seafood boil with snow crab legs, head off shrimp in a mild Louisiana sauce. I also had the side of garlic noodles. The one thing I will say is that the food doesn't taste as if it's cooked in seasoning instead just sauce added to the seafood in a bag. Though getting/ordering has been tricky lately--probably due to staffing and provisioning uncertainties during this week of open/not dining--we finally got through with a confirmed Seamless order last night--YAY/YUM. Everything was delicious (as we've come to expect) and exactly as ordered: Soft-shell crab and oyster baskets plus a custom shrimp boil, with sides as specified. In times past, it's been so much fun to eat-in the restaurant: raw oysters, lobster boils, families having birthdays, and much festivity. I was served crawfish and noddles with a plastic bag. I really hate plastic! Please get some ceramic plates and glass cups. After my complaining, they put my food in a plate. I used to come to cap't Loui when it used to be called Loui Loui. Not much has changed with the establishment, so this review even though it's my first, it will be referencing both past visits and the most recent one. I've consistently have had their Louisiana seafood boil the combination of snow crab legs, shrimp and crawfish (which I can go without) served with potatoes and corn. Their spice levels are pretty weak compared to other seafood boil places. There's not much of a difference between mild and medium in my opinion. If you're into heat, hot maybe for you. The calamari and French fries are fair. I've tried the other French fry flavors but nothing stuck out to me. During the most recent visit, I was able to try the garlic noodles which I must say is bomb definitely a must order. I gave this place 3 stars because compared to other places they don't have other sauces to chose from besides lemon pepper and Louisiana. The sauce is the best part so to only have two flavors is disappoint, but they do have good drinks and happy hour specials. read more
