I discovered this place through Too Good To Go app. It's a family owned fish market and restaurant. They serve a variety of seafood, Chinese food and sushi. The staff here are very kind and accommodating, which is not the norm with a lot of places on TGTG. I've been here several times and some of my favorite options are the seafood boil and sushi entrée. The seasoning in the seafood boil is so good! The fish is consistently fresh, which makes sense since it's a fish market. They also use the perfect rice ratio in their sushi. My favorite is the white tuna. The tuna just melts in your mouth, it's absolutely delicious! Things to keep in mind, this is primarily a fish market so the seating is limited. This is a great place for pick up with delicious sushi and aqua boils. The people are delightful and friendly, and I saw them get fish that was still alive! HOWEVER, I do not recommend eating inside here unless you want the fish smell floating around. This is also an indoor fish market where the fish is laying out in the open. I ordered the sushi deluxe and wonton soup for delivery from AB. This comes with a selection of nigiri and a roll. Overall the fish tasted fresh, but unfortunately the soup wasn't separated from the fish and the sushi was pretty warm when it showed up. Unexpecting to find a place with fresh fish market, seafood boils, and sushi all in one but I'm glad I tried it! I got a seafood boil in a bag and they had lots of good seafood in it: shrimp, mussels, salmon, crabs plus potatoes and corn. I was on the hunt for some fresh sushi during a Thursday afternoon and found this little shop only a stop away on the 6 train. Upon entering, I was greeted politely by the front staff who were already taking care of some customers ahead of me. The shop was bright, inviting, and clean. They have some tables and chairs laid out but it's mostly a take-out spot. There's a sushi chef at the back that made sushi rolls right as you order, which is always reassuring when you want the freshest quality of fish in your rolls. After exploring their wide array of foods on their menu, from chinese food, to fresh fish and even chinese food, I was pleasantly surprised that they also offered seafood boil with your choice of various seafood. My first time at AB Fish, I went with the salt & pepper shrimp and it was a great way to kickoff my patronage. Most entrees can be sampled when they offer appetizer sized to go containers. They also offer lunch specials, pick your own seafood meals, and sushi. Service is friendly and prompt. The place seems pretty clean. All of the seafood is on or under ice. I tried their seafood boil tonight as a take-out and had it with thai rice noodles that I made on the side, I added some garlic on the noodles..Just finished eating and I am writing feeling in heavenly bliss!! Went with friends during lunch on a Friday. They do have seating but if you're dining in be sure to come early to grab seats! It was pretty busy. Place was clean with no fishy smell which is usually an indicator that their fish is fresh. So my friends and I decided to go with their sushi. It was a good choice and it was very fresh. We ordered the rainbow roll, sunnyside roll and crazy salmon rolls. My sunnyside roll had sprimp tempura that had just the right amount of crunch - perfectly made. My friend's salmon rolls were really good as well. Can't really go wrong with their fish. Also tried their drinks and fries. Good additions but the fish was really the star here. The food came out pretty quickly. There were no problems with their service. The young man that took our order was friendly even when I was struggling to make a choice. Every thing is really fresh-- the stone crabs were even moving. We ordered a California roll and a shrimp and crab seafood boil. California roll was good and a great deal at $6 with fixings. The $20 seafood boil comes in a garlic sauce, then you can add old bay, lemon pepper, hot sauce, etc. to your own taste. We are old bay addicts so poured it on thick. Delicious. In addition to the standard potatos and corn, the carrots and broccoli are a nice touch. Everything was done on the spot in 15 minutes, with super friendly staff. The kind of place you can go for solo takeout when you're craving seafood. Ppl who like Naughty Crab and other seafood boil type places will love it--same quality, lower price, though admittedly not a replacement for Naughty Crab as a fun restaurant dinner experience. So I heard about this place and decided to come in for lunch. I ordered the shrimp and lobster fish boil for $30. This came with shrimp, a lobster tail, vegetables, and potatoes. They gave a fair amount of fish, although the lobster tail could've been a little bigger, but overall it was all cooked well and had a nice flavor. I also took home a salmon, avocado, sushi roll, which was very reasonable for 5$ and also tasted good. The reason why I took away points on this place is because they do the fish boil and they give it to you in a freaking plastic bag!!!! Can they really not afford plates or to go containers?? I was disgusted to realize that the meal I was about to eat which was boiling hot, was served in a plastic bag which note would be leaching chemicals into my food! Tried the sushi and it was really fresh tasting and just as impressive was thier fish to rice ratio, and how tender and flavorful it was. I can't stand mostly rice or hard sushi. AB Fish Market makes it perfectly.. Also had the shrimp and broccoli and the thin noodles with some chicken and veggies and enjoyed both of those too. My bf had a fried rice and fried chicken and liked his as well. We both thought the staff was very sweet and that is an added bonus that we consider too:) The young man working was caring and hard working and friendly. He made sure to ask if I wanted any sauces, if so, which ones and did the same with utensils. Tried this out, while out and about in the city and it was an ok experience. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and explained everything to me. They are popular for their seafood boils and I didn't have one, so please take this review with a grain of salt. Chicken with Garlic rice was an ok dish, nothing special. The Passion Fruit Tea with Mango Star Jelly was really good! One of the best I've had - definitely recommend trying the bubble teas. Let me just say that this honest to goodness local business is operating on barely any profitable margins. For what they're making and selling with great care, this is your picturesque value town of an Asian business. Delicious fresh seafood, fried food, sushi selection, and other Chinese home cooked dishes in a small market basically. I've been here like 5 times and consider myself a weekly regular before writing this review to make sure they really do deserve the best rating possible. Greatly priced seafood you can buy to take home and cook there, or get some of their cooked dishes. I've gotten their $10 seafood boil you saw in that bag where they use non popular items before they go bad and holy shit it is the best $10 seafood value meal I've ever had in America. Also a fan of their chicken legs, wings, and fried oysters seasoned with Asian flavors. The family that operates this shop are some of the nicest people who keep prices low to support the area and it's just so worth checking out. I was shocked that I had a whole days worth of food for $10-15 here basically and it's delicious. They need more customers because honestly I can't imagine how they're not operating at a loss with their insanely value price point (they even have a seafood mix bag for $6 that's like 1lb heavy??).
