I never really thought about it, but it's true: ordering fried fish and shrimp fried rice from a fish market means you'll get lots of fresh fish and shrimp. Ordered the whiting and SFR and got what looked like 2 pieces of whiting, but was actually 4, and the plumpest, freshest shrimp you could get in a shrimp fried rice. The fish lacks seasoning, but you know the deal at these neighborhood fried fish shops; it's all about the sauces. Douse it in hot sauce and chow down. And bring a friend cuz there's enough food for two. Service is knowledgeable and efficient and the dining area is clean and shared space w/ refrigerated cases of fish and prepared food like sushi. I ordered the taro bubble tea for myself with lychee jelly toppings and I could very much taste more of the taro flavor than the creamer that they use. They also do use a non dairy creamer (good for my lactose intolerance!!) so please indulge if you love milk tea but cannot consume dairy!! My partner got the passion fruit green tea (his favorite). Before ordering my sashimi bento box entree, I wanted a sweet trip and this place has everything!! I got a chocolate matcha layer cake and it was marshmallow-y and soft. it wasn't too sweet so it didn't ruin my appetite for the sushi that both of us got. My partner got three rolls with a side salad: avocado roll, salmon avocado roll and a shrimp tempura roll. They were sizable pieces and all ingredients were fresh. my sashimi were sliced so thinly but was fresh and there were no fishy taste!! I washed it down with a miso soup and I was glad that the soup had more seaweed pieces than usual, and perfectly salted. Not to mention, our food came really quick as well- we didn't have to wait. I discovered this place through Too Good To Go app. It's a family owned fish market and restaurant. They serve a variety of seafood, Chinese food and sushi. The staff here are very kind and accommodating, which is not the norm with a lot of places on TGTG. I've been here several times and some of my favorite options are the seafood boil and sushi entrée. The seasoning in the seafood boil is so good! The fish is consistently fresh, which makes sense since it's a fish market. They also use the perfect rice ratio in their sushi. My favorite is the white tuna. The tuna just melts in your mouth, it's absolutely delicious! Things to keep in mind, this is primarily a fish market so the seating is limited. This seafood place played us. We got the Number 4 seafood boil, and it was ridiculously salty and missing food items. We paid extra for corn, and that's all the vegetables we got. Before, they used to include potatoes, carrots, broccoli, everything, but now they have raised the prices for mediocre service. We only got the mussels, crab legs, and corn. The rest of the vegetables were not there. When we called, the rude owner was argumentative, saying that they put them in, but clearly, since I was LOOKING AT MY OWN FOOD, they weren't there. I regret supporting this business. They said to come back for the rest of the vegetables after we got home, but we decided it wasn't worth it. The food would be bad anyway. The order was $40, and I was unsatisfied. They always reply to bad reviews with a classic PR response but never fix anything. This is a great place for pick up with delicious sushi and aqua boils. The people are delightful and friendly, and I saw them get fish that was still alive! The $20 seafood boil comes in a garlic sauce, then you can add old bay, lemon pepper, hot sauce, etc. to your own taste. We are old bay addicts so poured it on thick. Delicious. In addition to the standard potatos and corn, the carrots and broccoli are a nice touch. Everything was done on the spot in 15 minutes, with super friendly staff. The kind of place you can go for solo takeout when you're craving seafood. Ppl who like Naughty Crab and other seafood boil type places will love it--same quality, lower price, though admittedly not a replacement for Naughty Crab as a fun restaurant dinner experience. So I heard about this place and decided to come in for lunch. I ordered the shrimp and lobster fish boil for $30. This came with shrimp, a lobster tail, vegetables, and potatoes. They gave a fair amount of fish, although the lobster tail could've been a little bigger, but overall it was all cooked well and had a nice flavor. I also took home a salmon, avocado, sushi roll, which was very reasonable for 5$ and also tasted good. The reason why I took away points on this place is because they do the fish boil and they give it to you in a freaking plastic bag!!!! Can they really not afford plates or to go containers?? I was disgusted to realize that the meal I was about to eat which was boiling hot, was served in a plastic bag which note would be leaching chemicals into my food! They are popular for their seafood boils and I didn't have one, so please take this review with a grain of salt. Chicken with Garlic rice was an ok dish, nothing special. Greatly priced seafood you can buy to take home and cook there, or get some of their cooked dishes. I've gotten their $10 seafood boil you saw in that bag where they use non popular items before they go bad and holy shit it is the best $10 seafood value meal I've ever had in America. Also a fan of their chicken legs, wings, and fried oysters seasoned with Asian flavors. The family that operates this shop are some of the nicest people who keep prices low to support the area and it's just so worth checking out. I was shocked that I had a whole days worth of food for $10-15 here basically and it's delicious. They need more customers because honestly I can't imagine how they're not operating at a loss with their insanely value price point (they even have a seafood mix bag for $6 that's like 1lb heavy??).
