Always good flavorful food delights at Captain Brad's. This visit for quick late lunch hubby had raw orders. I had (4) of the crab charbroiled oysters. Then we split 2 lbs of crawfish. When the server brought it back I was served ice cold fries. Kid pizza was a crap show for the price. Hard bottom and one piece of pepperoni. I came in to return food that I received with a turn around of 15 -20 minutes from pickingit up, asking for a refund. I explained my issue and asked to speak with a manager who told me in her words "sorry ma'am that's our food" and walked off! I couldn't believe it! I asked to speak with someone else and so the young lady at the door ran off to the kitchen to deliver my message because the damn manager left the young girl to deal with me! The young girl came back and asked me for my name and number. The young girl told me she would pass my information in to the owner. At this time the manager came back with this grin, I just can't get out of my head, and literally told me no one can have the owner's name as she ran her sparky self back into the kitchen, huh! I think asked the young girl for the manager's name and guess whst...the girl.ran back into the kitchen. She then cme back out, beefed up now, and told me the manager's name was none of my business! I wanted to laugh,, poor little puppet! The the snarky manager comes out so I asked her straight up for her name and she chuckled and walked off again. I just sat there trying to talk myself from regressing back to my 20s because apparently this manager needs belt! I then decided to ask a young man walking by for his manager's name and he really had to to think about if he wanted to tell me. So, staff are programmed to refuse customer service?! This manager then came up and told me Abby, as she walked off again. It is clear that this manager is NO leader! She is toxic and deceitful, it's all over her face! She maybe able to hustle her ass and bust tables but she isn't a manager! Three different people touched and opened my food, without gloves before shoving it back to it me, so I had throw it away!! Trust me, no doubt about it, I will get a refund but this behavior that occurred is out of line! We had reservations for seven folks for a six thirty seating - they were ready for us when we got there (Tuesday evening) We shortly ordered drinks (beer), and we discovered they ran out of one of the draft beers. Just a minor inconvenience - my beer just came out five minutes later after the others... I ordered Costal Catfish - it was topped with shrimp - all cooked to perfection! We had dinner here on a quick trip to Houston in November which unfortunately is not crawfish season so none of the seafood boils or fresh crawfish items on the menu were available with crawfish as listed. They recommended adding crab for an up-charge to any dish that was supposed to have fresh crawfish when we ordered which we went ahead and did. We had two people order the crawfish etouffee (which did still have crawfish because it wasn't the fresh in the shell kind) and both agreed it wasn't the best they had had. The portion was good though and the rice on the side was the perfect amount. We had two people order the seafood boils and both said it was great, crab was delicious and shrimp were juicy, all well seasoned. We also got a few appetizers but ate them too fast to get pictures. The crab stuffed jalapeño poppers were good but the bacon on them was a little chewy. We were told by locals that the crawfish pistolette is their signature appetizer and it was definitely worth trying! I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars because I had a food allergy and sometimes they pay attention and sometimes they don't. I can always count on food customer service and amazing French fries! My favorite thing to have is their "dust" it's SO good! I come here often with friends and keep it safe by just ordering fries. I have had their scallops with spinach and that is amazing too. The waitress was excellent also .Very attentive and prompt. we ate the crabcakes as an appetizer, and they were delicious. They came with 2 nice sized crab cakes. For appetizers, we had the regular crawfish pistolette (a deep fried piece of French bread with the inside scooped out and filled with a creamy cheesy crawfish sauce for $5) and the crab cakes (2 decent size crab cakes for $14). For our entrees, I had the garlic roasted dungeness crab, which came with 3 crab clusters (halves?), 1 corn cob, 1 red potato, red pepper butter and lemon garlic butter. This had plenty of flavor and was a very good deal for $30. My hubby had Lonnie's Southern Redfish, grilled and placed on top of what looked like a fried boudin patty (the contents removed from the casing). The dish was a bit dry and we later realized after our meal that this dish was missing the lemon garlic butter sauce (there were only pieces of lump crabeat on top). All in all, I would say the food was very decent and was a good value. I'd like to return and try some other items next time. read more

I've recently had the worst experience here, it started with the waiter taking our order and shortly after we wanted to make a change and he stated " I'll see what I can do but the order is already in" as if we had no option to make a change and we would be forced to have and pay for something we've changed our minds from. He made the change but made the unnecessary comment towards the situation. Once our order came in another waiter brought only half of the order correct which was inconvenient since it's seafood and tends to get cold quickly. Once we received our whole order we ate and didn't get checked up on once, my husband finished his drink and attempted to get someone's attention for a refill and everyone kept walking by and didn't bothering checking up on us. The whole time we were there the waiter who took our order didn't come to our table at all, it was terrible. We had to go to the front to ask for our check since no one bothered checking up on our table for like 30 mins. This was ridiculous shortly after the waiter came by with our check and proceeded to apologise. It's understandable that sometimes it gets busy but even if you have larger tables or other tables you should time manage everyone or ask your team for help. I've only been here for happy hour and there's a reason for that. Their happy hour has yummy apps and delicious drinks. You can get a large margarita for $6 and after 2 you'll feel pretty good! I've eaten their calamari which was breaded thinly and fried perfectly. Their boudin balls are hit or miss. The first time I had them there was a ton of flavor, however the second time they didn't have as many spices and they were kinda hard. Still delicious! My friend ordered a grilled seafood platter and the seasoning on there was bomb af! The grilled veggies it came with were my favorite thing I've had there. The service was great; however, the food did not meet expectation in several categories. First, we ordered the crab corn bisque. Requested that it be extra hot. It arrived lukewarm. However, the waitress took care of it immediately. The stuffed jalapeños are lacking. They need some gooey cheese or something added to give it a pow factor! I love this place I eat here several times. I have not tried anything off the menu that was not a good. The crawfish eggrolls or so good and they have hot Cheeto Boudin balls.
