It is a good size with a comfy king bed, cozy office nook, and modern bathroom/shower. Come hungry because your stay includes plenty of complimentary food. Tea time from 4-5pm was cute with choice of coffee or tea and several bite size snacks. If you're looking for a non caffeinated option def get the Golden Milk. Plus the evening cookies were a delightful surprise. Of course the star of the show is breakfast from 8-10am. You can order anything off the menu. We split the syrniki (pancakes) and two egg breakfast. Also a side of bacon and fruit. Yum! I had the matcha latte this time and it was great too. Good thing Forsyth Park was close by to walk off the itis before our drive home. Shout out to the staff working on 12/19 - 12/20 for making our short stay wonderful!

Just because it is a historic location does not make it a five star facility. * It lacks the following: * Valet parking * Bell hops * Actual suites: our Garden Suite consisted of one large room with two small, frosted windows, one bathroom and one closet. It reminded me of an isolation cell in my father's jail (he was a guard not an inmate.). There was a non- working fireplace * No dining facilities except for breakfast * No on site or nearby parking * No sizable bar * Worn appearance in places (see photos). * Steep and narrow steps to get to our room * Scarce storage space * Minimal electric outlets * When making the reservation for our 55th wedding anniversary I told them that we would be bringing our 18 and year old Daschund. They said there would be a dog bed and dog bowls. Unfortunately, Otto had three seizures two days prior to our arrival, and we had to have him euthanized. There was neither a dog bed nor dog bowls. * Only one trash basket in the bathroom * No heat when it was in the 30s in the morning, 40s by midday, 50s by sunset * No nearby restaurants in walking distance * No automatic refills of water or San Pellegrino, you have to ask * No soft drinks or alcohol in mini fridge * Weak internet signal Now, on the good side: Room was large Staff was friendly and responsive It was exceptionally cold Savannah is a quaint old southern town We are accustomed to real five star hotels like the Waldorf Astoria or The Kimberley in Manhattan or any of the Ritz Carlton properties in Florida

So, creates an inverse supply/demand situation and the hotels don't have to be as good here. We did want a place with self-parking and this is one of the only ones that deliver in this part of town. And, if the lot is full, which happens every night, the adjoining one is used and they have a special deal. I was happy with this. And also, for the inevitable reply from corporate or the hotel, I'm not interested in your boilerplate response. Save it. The room was clean enough. No problem there. It's nuts that they don't give out soap or have a dispenser for soap in the bathroom sink area, just the usual wall-mounted bottle that you find in the tub. As an aside, even though we did not use the kitchen, the Palmolive detergent bottle they supplied was half water. Kind of cheap and weird. The room had a big problem - no window. It was listed as an "atrium view," which means that the "window" looked out onto the bar and dining area. This mean noise all day and into the night. It also contributed to a jail cell vibe. It was an oppressive place to stay. The desk people did their best and I don't want to fault them for the crowd and the design. It was clearly a warehouse that was converted to a hotel and the setup is what it is, but I doubt I'd go there again unless I was utterly desperate.

We had a quick overnight stay in Savannah between driving from Florida to North Carolina and…read moreStaybridge served its purpose. When we arrived, we found the parking lot behind the hotel. It was sketchy and it was extremely limited. There is street parking available as well but thankfully, there was a spot behind the building so we didn't have to deal with any of that. The parking lot is dirt and is unkept, no grass, and some trash. It wasn't a good first impression. However, our car was just fine and safe. When we got to the desk, the receptionist was phenomenal! She was welcoming, warm, and helpful. During our in and outs in the lobby, every staff member we encountered was exceptional. Our room was 115 and was floor level, which was honestly convenient considering we had our dog with us and didn't need to use the elevator. We spent $8 more for city view and because we were floor level, we didn't utilize the windows because we were up against the busy street with people walking by. The hotel is set up strangely and has inside rooms with windows looking into the "atrium" which is the hallway at the floor level. Definitely not a hotel meant to use its windows from what I saw. This hotel is dog friendly and lots of dogs were here! When we checked in, they gave us a few dog treats which was a nice touch. Across the street is a small park area that you can walk down to relieve your pet. Our room was overall clean and it was very large. It had the basics we needed, hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There was also a stove, full size refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher complete with pots and pans, dinnerware, and utensils. There was a small bottle of dish soap. I'm almost sure the staff filled it with water because it was extra watered down. There was no sponge and no paper towels, so I had to use the kitchen cloth to wash dishes. There was also a coffee machine with coffee and tea (though the tea did not specify which kind) and a package of name brand popcorn which was a very nice touch! We didn't use the shower so I'm not sure what the water pressure was like. The tub looked dirty and maybe it was clean and just looked very worn out, but either way, we decided not to use it. The door situation to the toilet/shower room was really awkward to get in. The door was much too big considering the room size and you had to maneuver to get in. The bed was quite uncomfortable but the pillows were nice. I don't know if our room was haunted but it sounded like someone turned the faucet on at 1am and it kept going until I got up to take a look...no water could be found anywhere, it was super strange and after I got up to check, it never happened again. So I'm guessing this room has a friendly ghost haha. So between all of the little annoyances, why 4 stars? This location is GOLD. We didn't need to take our car out during our one night stay. Staybridge is right across the street from the river front and is literally a two minute walk to the trolly tour check in area, Cotton Exchange, and more. It was maybe a 5-10 minute walk to Wet Willie's. You really don't need to take your car if you're exploring the river front from this hotel. Such a super convenient location! TL;DR: fantastic location, pet friendly, great staff, uncomfortable bed, awkward hotel layout/parking.

Well, we found it all! The house is beautiful! You can feel the love and dedication that Michael and Gerald have put into every corner when renovating. The house has a calm and happy energy. The rooms keep the magnificent Victorian architecture and style, but also offer the comfort and details of a luxury boutique hotel. They give a 5 stars customer service. They did not just give us restaurant recommendations; Michael booked the restaurant for us because we could not find open tables online. They were attentive to our needs and gave us great ideas for our days, and the two-course European-style breakfast on the porch with a view of their well-cared-for garden was just an additional treat. We loved our stay here and we will undoubtedly come again!

You are renting a room to them. Contributing to your livelihood. The Thomas Weihs house and garden are beautiful in the historic district of Savannah. Some of the restoration details could have had a bit more close attention to detail, like spilled paint around the edges of the carriage house bathroom and stairs. I mention this because the co-owners, Michael and Gerald overly emphasize the need to respect their home and they post many signs around the premises that warn you of fees (fines) for not compulsively being aware of their rules. There are chains erected to direct you through the garden, codes for doors instead of keys and cameras everywhere. Michael a graduate with a hospitality degree is courteous and quite an accomplished historian and cook who prepares delicious breakfasts each day. Gerald with his degree in psychology takes care of the home, grounds and security. He seems to monitor the computerized door locks and video cameras quite intensely. Also since we had arrived, Gerald never greeted us or talked to us without us greeting him first. He was cold and distant. The first issue occurred when my partner used the front door to access the home to acquire a cup of coffee at the coffee bar in the dining room while waiting for breakfast. Gerald came out of the kitchen area and strongly stated "you didn't lock the door!" My partner apologized but Gerald already went to lock the door. He yelled, "this is my personal home and continued to scold her for not locking the door." He went back into the kitchen and was loudly yelling at Michael how this was disrespectful of his home and him. I heard this outside on the porch. The following morning my partner again went through the coded front door, locked it and proceeded to the coffee bar. She opened the door to the porch to deposit her iPad and Gerald comes barreling out of the kitchen after observing on his computer the door opening. He begins yelling, "Ma'am, you again are being disrespectful of our home. Michael is the only one who can open this door!" My partner did not understand what she did wrong and said she just wanted to get coffee. The conversation continued and for a few seconds and he said we needed to leave now without breakfast. My partner cursed at him and we left within 15 minutes. Yes there are two sides to every story, but no business owner should try to be so controlling and rude to a guest. His partner Michael made no attempt to apologize either time, basically supporting this bad behavior. We have both traveled extensively and have never been treated so poorly and disrespectful. Gerald is one of the most angry and rude persons we have come across. Gerald should not be hosting a B and B.

They offer a wide range of classes throughout the week--morning, afternoon, and evening--with options for every skill level, from beginner and relaxation to back therapy and advanced. I first discovered them through their amazing intro special for locals: three weeks of unlimited yoga for just \$59. It was the perfect way for me to try something I had always wanted to do but didn't know where to start. After the intro period, you can choose from various membership packages, pay-as-you-go, or even try their online remote classes if you prefer to practice at home. What really won me over, though, were the incredible teachers and the supportive community. It didn't matter what your body type was--curvy, slim, recovering from injury, or anything else--everyone was welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was so positive, and I never once felt out of place. I have knee issues, so there were a few positions I couldn't do, but I was always able to communicate that at the start of each class. The instructors would offer modifications or alternatives, which made me feel cared for and supported. On top of regular classes, SYC also hosts workshops and mini music concerts with yoga--another great way to experience the studio. Overall, SYC is a truly welcoming place to practice yoga, no matter where you're starting from.

My instructor Stephanie was fantastic. She has a very clean and deliberate teaching style unique to her own practice which set her apart from the majority of yoga instructors I've had in my time. Looking forward to coming back soon.
