The entire time I would've been Carol from every time I ate at that restaurant I wound up getting sick. The food is entirely nothing grease.

We use to love to go here when we made a "lottery run" It has changed owners since the last time we ate here. The young man that took our order was, nice. The girl that brought our food to the table...well, you could tell she just didn't want to be there. Food was alright. Not like we have had in the past. Cracklings were more greasy crumbs. Missing a food item from hubby's plate. Gave tartar sauce instead of cocktail (was on receipt)I know that sounds real petty. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The food is sub par and the people at the counter need some serious training, as well as the Manager. This restaurant used to be a great place to eat but not anymore. if this is the best you can do I would recommend they closing it up. Some of the worst food in Carrollton. read more

I stopped by this establishment today during my lunch. I pulled through the drive thru to place my order and the girl that was taking my order was so rude, I couldn't believe it. I have never in my life experienced anything like this ever. All I wanted was to place a quick order and she gave me attitude from the start for no reason. She was very hateful. I was so upset by the way she spoke to me, I drove away. Needless to say I will NEVER go there again. You do not need to have anyone working in a establishment anywhere if they are rude to a customer. Please people just be kind to one another. It doesn't cost a thing to be kind and respectful. read more

10/30/2021 - Visiting my parents in Carrollton yesterday and decided to get a family meal from Captain D's. When I pull up to the restaurant the drive thru was completely empty. I order the family meal with 6 pieces of fish and 4 pieces of chicken. I get back to my parents house and we pull out the plates to eat. I open the container with the chicken and I'm appalled. The chicken was old, burnt and super small (see photo). They even gave me 5 pieces of chicken instead of four because of the size. That would have been ok if the pieces of chicken were not burnt and old. I call the restaurant and speak to the manager. She offers to replace the chicken and give me a couple of cheesecakes and pecan pies. She tells me to come in when I bring the undesirable chicken back. When I come in, I greet the staff politely and place the container on the counter. A staff member calls the manager from the back and I open the container so she can see the chicken. She agrees that it looks bad, takes it to the back and says loudly to the cook to give her four pieces of nice size chicken. I can see the male cook in the back and he looks annoyed. He knows what he did giving me that awful chicken. She (the manager) brings the chicken back quickly and shows them to me. The chicken looked ok so I say thank you. My parents asked me to order some coleslaw, so I order a large coleslaw and pay for it. She gets the coleslaw and places it in the bag with the hot food. I'm waiting for her to get the cheesecake and pecan pie she advised she would give, but she does not, so I ask her for the cheesecake. She says she forgot and goes to put one cheesecake in the hot bag. I ask for another bag for the cold coleslaw and cheesecake. She gives me a bag and I say thank you. I don't work in the food industry, however, I'm in the business of managing people as well as trouble shooting issues with other members of management. In my opinion, the manager was not concerned about my experience as the customer. My whole meal should have been replaced. She only offered to replace the chicken. So, I had to drive back to get the chicken they screwed up replaced while all the other food I purchased is at my house getting cold. If my meal had been replaced my family could enjoy it hot and fresh. The manager should have also given me the coleslaw for free. I usually would not purchase another item from the establishment that just ruined my order. However, I was in town to see my parents and wanted to please them. As a manager she should have told me that the coleslaw was free, since they ruined my first order and I had to come back out in the cold to get my order corrected. Another thing she did that proved my business meant nothing was placing the cold coleslaw and attempting to place the cold cheesecake in the same bag with my hot food. I worked at Dairy Queen when I was 15 and no one ever had to teach me not to put blizzards in the bag with hot food, it's common sense. I was appalled at her ignorance. The last thing she did that solidifies my reason for giving one star is lying. She said over the phone that she would give me a couple of cheesecakes and pecan pies. Lies! She didn't even offer, I had to ask and she only gave me one cheesecake when I purchased a family meal. This awful experience ruined my day with my family and I will NEVER patronize this restaurant again. read more

Captain D's - Burnt old chicken smh - Seafood Near Me - Carrollton, Georgia

Stopped at this captain D's because I just wanted a piece of fish and the sweet young lady Iyonna was very pleasant and continued to let me know about the great deals I could get and helped me anyway I could! You don't see that much now days with fast food! Sometimes our rating are based of the servers and how well they serve you, one bad apple could cause poor reviews. We need more people like her! read more

Every time I go to this place, they always mess something up. They never give the right sauce, enough, or any at all. Don't ever ask for UNsweet tea, and repeat it at the window. You will still get their syrup sweet crap. Not worth the 30 minute wait in the drive thru wait that I had to sit through. Took the guy forever to come back to the speaker. Didn't give me my drinks and then I had to get his attention and wait on those, which were wrong of course. read more

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone that wants a great meal at a reasonable price. Many selections on the menu for everyones' taste. They have everything from salads to desserts. The staff was very friendly & helpful with the menu. The restaurant was very clean & well stocked. read more
