Under the radar pizza spot tucked away inside a cute cottage. We picked up pizza to go here on the way to the beach. The pizza itself was fine but I made the mistake of doing half veggie and half cheese so the different it caused the crust on the cheese side to be a bit burnt and the veggie side to be less cooked. I'm sure it would have turned out differently if it was the same pizza for both halves. The pizzas are also on the small side for the price so you may want to get an extra one if you are feeling hungry. I had my first pie at Unami. I have driven by here so many times and saw a sign for "thin crust" so pulled in. Luckily they do a wood fire which I love. There are many vegan and gluten free options. The pie was pretty good. The crust was the star. The sauce was good. I prefer much less cheese so will address that next time. I also had a tasty ginger cookie that was to die for. Service: friendly and prompt Atmosphere: clean, minimalistic. Pizza oven is visible from where you order. Baked goods and sweet treats are at the counter and looked delicious. Time: very fast turn around but I was the only customer there at the time. What I ordered: Carnitas tacos. Plenty of food in the shell. Flavor was great. Asian slaw was really good. Would have loved some to take home. Only complaint was that the taco shell was soft and fell apart in my hand making the meal very messy to eat. Would not eat this on a date. I had an unsweetened peach ice tea which was good. Would have been better with a lemon wedge. Would I come back? Yes, I would like to try the pizza. read more

We got the margarita pizza and did not enjoy the lemon flavor infused into the cheese. We also had a peanut noodle dish and a umami salad. Both of those were okay but not something I'd go back for. The place was empty yet tables were not clean and the bathroom door (that we sat right next to) had hand handprints all over it. Carole Kelaher was the perfect partner for my mom's 70th birthday party! Her four platters of appetizers -- sausage stuffed mushrooms, fig & brie crostini, endive boats with blue cheese, mousse, and candied walnuts, and roasted shrimp cocktail -- were exactly what we needed for a group of 22 people (in addition to 3 homemade appetizers). Carole was lovely to work with and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received as well as the price. I would highly recommend Umami! Moreover, her friend Michelle was the best bartender. She not only kept a great bar but cleaned up as the night went on and topped people off around the room. She was an absolute delight! read more

Being a plant based eater, Umami is a go to. I love that the menu actually says vegan on it. However bad last time, food was covered in blue mold...how could this not be seen, when serving it. Horrible that this would be served with out any concern. read more

I wasn't crazy about this place . It was good for the cape. I would get it again just isn't a 4.7 in my opinion. I got the Hawaiian and a cheese . Umami is our hands-down our favorite pizza place on the Cape. The tacos and chicken caesar wraps are also among our go-to orders. We also love the chicken pot pies, they are a great meal to take home or freeze for later. The difference between Umami and other local pizza/sandwich/baked goods joints (besides the recipes) would definitely be the quality of ingredients- you can tell the difference. Growing up in NJ, I consider myself a pizza snob. I have tried so many places in the Cape only to be disappointed. On Sat evening our family visited Umami Pizza in Dennis and had really good pizza. The crust is light and the toppings are fresh. My husband had the sausage pizza and we had the Barker pizza and the Umami salad. We all loved our meals. Will definitely be back. read more

Wow, what a great pizza place! We have seen Umami advertised, but have not tried the pizza yet. Pizza has been a tough box to check here in Dennis. Umami checks the pizza box! We had The Barker's and the Cici's Margherita. Excellent! The dough, sauce, cheese, all pass the taste test. The menu offers other items sandwiches and vegan options. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable , with an option to eat outside of the weather permits. Lastly, the nice lady behind the counter was pleasant and helpful. Service with a smile. Have driven by here in the past and always tempted to go in. But, today a family member stopped in, got the clam pie, and brought me some. It was fantastic.
