    Kids making their fancy pizza.

Umami in East Dennis is a fantastic spot to enjoy delicious thin crust pizza. The kids had a blast making their own pizzas, and we all loved the crispy crusts and flavorful toppings. You can taste that all the ingredients are fresh and homemade, enhancing the dining experience. The restaurant is clean and elegantly decorated, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The friendly service ensured we had a wonderful time. Highly recommended for families looking for great food in a relaxed and inviting setting! Im super picky pizza eater and hands down this place is the best.

Service: friendly and prompt Atmosphere: clean, minimalistic. Pizza oven is visible from where you order. Baked goods and sweet treats are at the counter and looked delicious. Time: very fast turn around but I was the only customer there at the time. What I ordered: Carnitas tacos. Plenty of food in the shell. Flavor was great. Asian slaw was really good. Would have loved some to take home. Only complaint was that the taco shell was soft and fell apart in my hand making the meal very messy to eat. Would not eat this on a date. I had an unsweetened peach ice tea which was good. Would have been better with a lemon wedge. Would I come back? Yes, I would like to try the pizza.

Carole Kelaher was the perfect partner for my mom's 70th birthday party! Her four platters of appetizers -- sausage stuffed mushrooms, fig & brie crostini, endive boats with blue cheese, mousse, and candied walnuts, and roasted shrimp cocktail -- were exactly what we needed for a group of 22 people (in addition to 3 homemade appetizers). Carole was lovely to work with and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received as well as the price. I would highly recommend Umami! Moreover, her friend Michelle was the best bartender. She not only kept a great bar but cleaned up as the night went on and topped people off around the room. She was an absolute delight!

Umami is our hands-down our favorite pizza place on the Cape. The tacos and chicken caesar wraps are also among our go-to orders. We also love the chicken pot pies, they are a great meal to take home or freeze for later. The difference between Umami and other local pizza/sandwich/baked goods joints (besides the recipes) would definitely be the quality of ingredients- you can tell the difference. Carole made our baby shower cake and it was absolutely beautiful as well as delicious.

The coffee, atmosphere, and creativity are incredible. We tried the Fluffy Seagull, Dockside Drag, and The Sunburn. The Fluffy Seagull was perfectly sweet and nostalgic, the Dockside Drag was one of the most unique lattes I've ever had, and The Sunburn had just the right amount of spicy kick. Every drink felt thoughtfully crafted. I also loved all the little details around the property. The Christmas trees made out of Fluff containers and lobster buoys were such a fun, quirky New England touch and made the whole place feel even more memorable.

The prices of our quiche and coffee was fair, I hate to say it but I haven't had a decent cup of coffee during our visit so far. Separately, the pie prices, at $40, seemed steep, although we did not purchase one and therefore cannot comment on if it's worth it. Parking proved somewhat challenging, as it is at the rear of the coffee shop, potentially making patrons feel somewhat confined or trapped. Nonetheless, pedestrians can access the shop easily straightforward walk-up. Upon entering, the warm and inviting atmosphere, reminded me of an East Coast Cracker Barrel, because it has an assortment of souvenirs including hoodies, homemade jams, and more. The service provided was satisfactory. Oh I remember something funny. Lol we accidentally went past the drive way and came across a dentists parking lot with a handwritten sign that said: "No parking for coffee fufu drinkers" I thought that it was kinda funny

We sported post-beach attire, but nobody blinked as this is a takeout establishment save for the small patio pit back with two wrought iron tables. There were 3 people standing in the small interior when we entered, all awaiting their orders. After spending too long considering the menu, we ordered a large megalodon, small nurse shark, and two make-your-own pizzas (pepperoni & bacon, plain cheese.) The cashier was appropriately patient while we deliberated our optAll were delicious--crispy-on-the-outside-but-chewy crust that wasn't too thick or overwhelmingly bread-y. We don't like too much sauce, especially when it burns the roof of your mouth. Fortunately, there wasn't too much on these pies. Our buzzer beeped when our order was ready (we played two rounds of hangman, but I didn't keep track of time...), and our pies came out hot. It was a beautiful evening, so we sat on the patio, taking 5 of the 6 available chairs. (Apologies to the couple who came afterwards only to discover they had nowhere to sit.) Even though the megalodon was all meat, it wasn't too salty. Each type of meat preserved its flavor while tasting delicious all together. The nurse shark had a good amount of each vegetable on it. They were lightly cooked, with the broccoli still a bit crunchy on the outside, which I like. If you prefer vegetables well done on your pizza, you might want to try another kind here. The made-to-order pizzas were tasty, as well. On another note, the Pizza Shark black cherry soda was also a delightful experience: lightly carbonated, not too sweet, and not overly-flavored. Overall, this was a terrific find for us. "A" for: - great crust, - nice ratio of crust:sauce:toppings, - tasty combinations, and - not greasy at all. I forgot to take pictures prior to eating, so apologies for the lack of accompanying photos. We'll definitely stop again next time we're in Dennis!
