This place is in an area where you are not going to be comfortable walking to alone on a late night. Surrounded by bumbs, thugs, and drug dealers ready to pray on their next shake down victim. The place inside is eerie, and worn down. As for the shisha, we'll there no messing that up. Just pack and burn. Old man, and old lady who attentive at the beginning, but when it was time to leave and made our way out front to pay, I guess the old folks though we were walking out without paying. They tried calling for our attention as we walked into the lounge, but both old man and lady were difficult to spot as they blended in with the other 2 guest inside the very dark and poorly lit indoor lounge. Watch your step! They must've assumed that we were walking out and not going to pay. Also be aware of HIDDEN FEES. Would I recommend this place or go back. Absolutely not, if you have the courage to tack on hidden fees, at least have the courage to display out in the open. Oh the the cafe! Glass Starbucks coffee. No thanks. read more

Tired of fighting the Joes for spots in the other hookah bars of the valley. It is refreshing to find a new location for the troops to stop at. This former antique store (closed for many years) finally reopened to become the newest and best hookah bar in the noho area. ( funny thing is that is was called the Pirates Chest or something like that before) You can easily miss it on Vineland if your not looking, but watch out for that bring red sign and you will find a great little hookah bar. In Between a hipster coffee/boa/standup shop and a placed called Wake and Bake (do I need to explain what that place is) The Captain has a nice indoor sitting area and nice lighted outdoor area in the back. The seating for both is comfortable. They only serve drinks ( soda, ice tea, juices from bottles/cans and fresh brewed Persian tea) but your allow to bring in outside food to the place so the troops wont go hungry. The hookahs are well packed and clean/new! Prices are great I believe its 21.99 for Tangiers, 18.99 for starbuzz/fumari and 16.99 for everything else?... I know they have happy hour till 6pm and that is $5 off your hookah order. Art is the hookah man at the local, he is a veteran to his craft and knows how to pack and mix flavors well. So be sure to have him mix you a combo, you wont regret it. Also the little "lamps" on your tables have a button on top, which will signal if you need serve to the table! Amazing! This is hands-down the best hookah I have had anywhere in this entire city. I have never had a hookah hit so perfect from the first Puffs to the last. My hookah literally lasted me for over three hours being shared between two people who were constantly smoking. The place is also very clean and well maintained by the owner. Hoses are very clean and well maintained and so were the stems and glass bases as well. No stains, no residue. Clearly they are washed regularly. Great selection of flavors, drinks, and you can bring your own food. To top it all off, the owner and servers are all very nice. My new favorite hookah spot! read more

I can see this place becoming my new favorite hangout spot. They have great quality flavors and the hookah doesn't die out fast. The decor is nice and the staff and owners are extremely helpful and friendly. There is ample street parking both in front of the lounge and on the nearby side street. There are a few big tv's inside and there is also a spacious patio. It's hard to find decent hookah lounges but I'm glad my friends and I discovered this one because they've got everything you're looking for in a hookah lounge! I don't know if they had any parking but you can find a bunch of meter or residential parking. Just don't forget to read the signs. It was very clean and I'm glad they have a bunch of TVs because it was a Sunday night and I missed all the NFL games but I was able to watch all the highlights that night lol. The place is great when it gets busy you may have to wait a little bit it's worth it. Very clean and always willing to go beyond standard service. Just wish they opened when it says on yelp they open.!they do have drinks but for now no food as the place barely opened. Only lounge in la that has a nice indoor and ventilation is natural and doesn't make your head burst in pain from lack of air. Very very good taste in music by art. I'm tired of the ones in ktown because the crowds there are too young, too many familiar faces, or they don't serve a variety of food/drinks. And the ones in glendale don't look half as decent as this place, plus have bad customer service. I used to live around here and i love this area. I'm happy that there's a hip new spot. I love this place and I will be back. I will not be going to my old spots anymore. Why? well.. -service is friendly and helpful, they offered our group nutella ponchiks from Papillion bakery (thank you again!!! so sweet) -lounge decor is amazing and comfy, red & black always classy and it's okay to be in comfortable clothes -lighting is perf, not too dark that you can't see your friends & not too neon that would blind you or make you nauseous from smoking -it's just so chill, like you can relax & watch tv, or bump to good music. (bryson tiller songs hit the spot) - they have a variety of cold bottled drinks at their fridge like gold peak ice teas to starbucks. they also serve hot tea or fresh brewed coffee which was great for the chilly weather the night we went. there is no food menu YET but they will soon & I'll be there for that :) -the shisha flavors were great. Fumari is the way to go! we got 2 hookah sets. we mixed flavors (white & red gummy) (mint & orange cream). they lasted the whole time we were there. they didn't get burned and we didn't need a refill. We would've if we stayed longer but since it was late we had to get going. their price is great and affordable. most places overprice and tbh if it's too pricey people would not want order drinks & food. so this is very important to me. -everything is new & clean! they just opened 2 weeks ago and it just feels welcoming and nice when you enter. the main lobby is a cozy lounge area with couches and you walk to the back and there's a spacious outdoor patio with a roof, so not a problem if it rains. -they have games. my friends and I just used the cards. I eventually saw a backgammon set brought out. not sure what else they have but most likely there's more. but i'm sure you're more than welcome to bring your own too. -it's open late considering it's Noho which most places close fairly early like around 9-10. We came here Sunday night between 9ish pm to 12 midnight. -they can split the bill however you want it at the counter. so don't be afraid if you're in a group and don't know if everyone can pitch in or just pay each other back lol the only thing people might be concerned about is parking. With our group we had 3 cars and we instantly found parking in the neighborhood street. there's street parking as well right in front. we didn't have a problem. My friends and I had a lot of fun and we will be back again soon :) I will be recommending this place to everyone. Especially who invites me out to hookah haha. read more
