This lovely establishment is nestled at the end of a small shopping center. It is modern, and very clean! The food is made fresh, right after you order it! The catfish was fried beautifully. The outside was crisp and the inside the fish was flaky and moist. The catfish did NOT taste pond scummy like most other places. Seasoned beautifully with a dash of lemon pepper for the finishing touch, adds a nice citrus twist to a southern classic. The shrimp are large and fried until golden brown. Cleaned, de-veined, and delightful. The secret sauce goes wonderfully with the fish, and fries! Put it on all of your food and you won't be disappointed with how it compliments the fresh fish. This is an order to go place. They have 4 tables but mostly people sitting waiting for their orders to go. The food was very salty and not very good. Not sure how this place gets so many stars, but for us it was a little dirty and bad. My first visit and was very impressed I never really found a place that had great tasting chicken wings and gizzards near my area. I've tried various places in the area, but never satisfied. Either they were too expensive for serving size or the taste wasn't the same on the next visit. I searched for places near by for gizzards and found one place and their gizzards was not seasoned and dry. I settled for chicken at one place, but there wings never really hit the spot and taste nothing like the original restaurant on the other side of town. Never went back. Well I finally tried this place out and I wasn't impressed. The staff were really friendly and nice. I didn't like the taste of bad burn grease in the chicken and chicken liver. The seasoning on the chicken tastes pretty good, but the old grease made it not enjoyable. Also the fries were horrible and cheap! I had to put some on when I got home. I also tried the catfish out, nice crisp crust, but no taste of dirty catfish flavor. I probably will not return since the place is not close to home. Rule number 1 never go to a restaurant when it is close to closing time. The chicken was hard and over cooked, the fish was too salty and the fries could have broke one of my teeth.
