    Funnel Cake Fries

Ambiance: 5/5 This is one of those spots I just can't stop coming back to. We visit every other week, and one of the best parts is how efficient it is. The service is always quick; we're usually in and out within an hour. It's much cleaner than other seafood boil spots in Vegas. I'm honestly hesitant to even write this because I don't want it to get busy. It is such a hidden gem in Las Vegas. Service: 5/5 Everyone is great, but our server is usually Blanca. She's really attentive, friendly, and knows the menu well. The whole visit is smooth and enjoyable. It's rare to find a place where you consistently get this level of service and we've been there several times in the last couple months alone. Food: 5/5 We always order the shrimp and crawfish, with Capt loui sauce at hot level. The Capt loui sauce is spicy and full of garlic which we love. For sides, our go-tos are the boiled egg, corn, and potato. We've tried other sides like noodles, fries, and garlic bread, but those are a skip for us personally. We also tried the boiled calamari and weren't fans of the texture, but that just comes down to preference because the calamari was cooked well. The desserts they have currently are beignets and funnel cake fries. The funnel cake fries were amazing. We were seated near the kitchen and actually smelled it being fried which means they are made fresh to order. Next time we would order the ice cream on the side so it wouldn't make the funnel fries soggy. Overall, this is a reliable spot with great service and solid seafood that keeps us coming back. Shoutout to Blanca and the team. Can't wait for our next visit. PRO TIP: There is free mouthwash in the bathroom if you need it. It's very minty.

The food is always good. Tuesday is $1 oyster day. The service is always quick and efficient. We usually sit in the same booth when we go.

This is a very respectable 3 star rating. I came here for lunch on a Wednesday around 12pm-1pm. It's located in a plaza with other shops, and plenty of parking. We were greeted and immediately seated. Taylor was our waitress and she was so nice! She went through the menu with us and checked in frequently to see if we had any questions. She was so patient with us as we took a minute to decide. I ended up ordering the Fish Po'boy with cajun fries. You get 3-4 chunky fish pieces on a toasted sandwich bun and a side of fries. The cajun fries were really good, i enjoyed the seasoning on them. The Fish Po'boy was good. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter was also fried to perfection. The only thing I would say is I wish the fish batter was more seasoned. It lacked in flavor even though there were toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, and a sauce on it. I definitely think some of that cajun seasoning from the fries would have elevated the po'boy flavor. Overall, I had a great experience and would love to try more items on their menu.

Located in the Village Square Plaza (near Sahara and Fort Apache) Cap't Loui has plenty of parking and is easily accessible. We went during Lunch Time and had the lunch seafood boiler special. You basically get to choose two seafoods, seasoning, spiciness, and one side. You also get a soda. My wife had the clams and crawfish. I had the shrimp and clams and my son got the crawfish and shrimp. For sides, my wife had the garlic noodles. I had the corn and potato, and my son had the boiled egg. Everything was very tasty and definitely worth the money. Dan was our server and he was very attentive. The decor was really nice and relaxing. As with most seafood boils, be prepared to get messy. They also have $1 oysters on Tuesdays. The oysters were a decent size

Yes yes yes - definitely 5/5 so tasty and delicious! Came in for lunch right before I had to hop on my plane out of Vegas and had to make sure I checked out this joint. It had popped up on my IG feed the week before our trip so I just assumed it was fate & the yelp gods were directing me here. SO GOOD! And they have lunch specials?! I ordered the shrimp and crawfish with corn and potatoes (came with a drink) for only $15! I also got a lobster tail on the side with corn and potato. Both bags were with Cap't Loui medium flavoring and it was sheer perfection. Not enough to make my sweat but my lips tingle and the flavor was spot on fresh and delicious. Everything you love in a crawfish boil, just bummed I didn't also order sausage! The crawfish weren't shriveled up or bland, it actually soaked in the flavor of the Cajun seasoning - same with the shrimp. I was really impressed especially since it came out super fast, maybe 5-7 minutes after I ordered? They also gave me gloves without me having to ask and tons of lemons. I didn't take advantage of it, but they do $1 oysters on Tuesday so you could get a half dozen for $6 when it's usually $15! Super Wild, just didn't know if I could fit all of that on top of my boil bags. Everything was really clean, they put butcher paper down on the tables as well as spray and clean thoroughly in-between guests. The bathrooms are also super clean so I didn't feel any unease eating with my fingers etc. awesome staff and super respectful. Love love love, highly recommend!

Heard about this place from a coworker and it lived up to the hype. Way better than Pier 88 and the snow crab legs we ordered were a good size and meaty. We ordered a side of garlic noodles and dipping it in the sauce was good as well. The service was good and will definitely be back.

My lychee adult Capri sun. These are dangerous. You've been warned.

Crustaceans hate to see me coming! My husband treated me to an early Mother's Day meal here last Saturday because he loves how happy I get absolutely demolishing seafood. I was hungry early so we came before the dinner rush, we were seated promptly, and service was phenomenal. I love the casual vibe this spot was giving, though I opted to face away from fellow patrons since my seafood eating style gets pretty graphic. Seats were comfy, and they have plenty of natural light, meaning excellent lighting for photos. I enjoyed my adult lychee flavored capri sun. It was like a pool party in a pouch. Highly recommended. I destroyed 2 lbs of shrimp and a lobster tail in their house sauce. The only regrets exist within the souls of those dearly departed sea creatures for crossing paths with me that fateful day. I thank them for their service. RIP. The garlic noodles were okay. Mine are better. My husband's shrimp po'boy and sweet potato fries were tasty! I can't wait to try some of Cap't Loui's other offerings, though I promised the crab I would return for them so it will take a few trips to eat through the menu. Highly recommended and I can't wait to return!

    Fisherman's Platter :-(

Incredible shrinking portions! All the food seems so much smaller. The fish isn't whole pieces and in my fisherman's platter it was pieces of pieces. I will be making a new choice for fried fish going forward!

THE BEST SEAFOOD BOIL SAUCE IN VEGAS I've tried a numerous amount of different seafood boils here in Vegas. Capt Loui, hands down, has THE BEST sauce I've ever tasted, it's a combination of sweet, smoky, savory, and garlicky. We came here for the lunch special which lets you choose two seafood options, one side and a drink and I just had to order more because of how good the sauce is. Not to mention their Tuesday special of $1 oysters! They were so fresh and delicious. The servers were very nice and attentive and the music is not too loud and soothing. Definitely coming back!

Do they cook the seafood in a separate pot than where the sausage is made?

I don't know if separate boiling pots, but each boil order is cooked in its own boiling bag, so there should be no cross-contamination by design.

Is it limited to only 2 dozen oysters? When did it change?

We asked and they said there is no limit.

Do they still have $1 oyster night?

Don't let the location or exterior fool you, it's actually a very nice restaurant with a lovely interior once you go in. The cocktail selection is great and pretty reasonable for Vegas. All of us were quite happy with our selections. I opted for the restaurant week menu, while my friends ordered off the regular menu. The restaurant week menu had 4 courses for $60, so it was a great value, but prices are very reasonable regardless. My favorite dishes were the Korean fried chicken and the wagyu skewers (my friend ordered this). They have a robust sushi selection as well, and everything tasted fresh and was prepared with care. Service was excellent as well! This is a restaurant where you could come back again and again to sample everything on the menu.

Thank God we were seated inside and for a moment we forgot we were inside a casino. We started with their Katafi Prawns, they were amazing! Loved the touch of olive flavor dip it came with. Their pulpo came with crispy smashed potatoes, they were good too! Fresh pita bread anyone? Don't skip those. The hummus dip with beets were heavenly. I ordered their Alaskan king crab. Wow. I think they put mayo on it, it was rich and yummy!!! The scallops were good too! There's a tiny kick to it, but all in all good. The skirt steak was on the bland side unfortunately, however everything else compensated for the lack of flavor like the spinach rice and crispy potatoes.
