My original review was…read morenegative, but I decided to take it down because I wanted to give them the opportunity to make things right, and I think it's only fair that I come back and share how things ultimately turned out. My first experience unfortunately wasn't great. I originally brought my Nissan Altima in for an A/C issue, and there were problems with scheduling and communication from the beginning. I had made an appointment more than a week in advance, but when I called to confirm, I wasn't on the schedule. They were still able to get me in, diagnosed the compressor as the problem, and replaced it. However, there were additional communication issues while the car was being repaired, and shortly after getting it back, the A/C was blowing warm again. Needless to say, I was frustrated, especially after spending around $1,100 between the original repair and what I purchased afterward trying to address the A/C issue myself. That's what led to my first review. What changed my opinion was what happened next. The owner of Overseas Garage personally called me, apologized for my experience, listened to my concerns, and wanted the opportunity to make things right. I really appreciated that. I decided to give them a second chance and brought the car back so they could address the remaining issues. I'm glad I did. They ultimately did a great job, and the effort they made to correct the situation completely changed how I feel about the shop. No business is going to get everything right 100% of the time. For me, what says more about a business is what they do when something does go wrong. Overseas Garage could have ignored my review or dismissed my concerns, but instead, the owner reached out personally and took responsibility for making sure I was taken care of. That means a lot to me. One of the reasons I originally chose Overseas Garage was because it's woman-owned. As a gay man, walking into a traditional auto shop can sometimes feel intimidating, so I genuinely wanted to support a shop where I felt more comfortable. After everything was resolved, I'm glad I gave them another opportunity. My first experience may not have started the way I hoped, but the way they handled things afterward earned back my trust. I would recommend Overseas Garage, and I appreciate the owner and the team for taking my concerns seriously and making the effort to turn my experience around. Thank you for making things right.

He even admitted his mechanic had worked on the car before selling it, yet still wouldn't help, trade, or offer any solution. If ted is a man of God he would do the right thing. I completely understand that used cars can have issues, but this isn't a minor problem, it's dangerous, and the car was already overpriced. The lack of honesty, empathy, and basic professionalism is shocking. If you value safety and respect, stay far away from this place.It's disappointing to see this kind of response instead of accountability. The truth is the car I purchased from you turned out to be a lemon. I visited the next day and after a test drive where he patiently let me go on the 710 and 405 freeways to test the vehicle, I bought it for exactly the price he quoted. He is a man of his word. Note - if you are looking for a video of the vehicle or the CarFax, I found the information spread out on their Facebook page (the video) and their Offer Up page (the CarFax report). Ted told me he did the rear brakes. When I took it to my mechanic for a reconditioning -- doing maintenance and replacing items on a high mileage vehicle -- my mechanic said the rear brakes were done, just like Ted said. Setting an appointment was easy and effortless online. Ariana was helpful and straightforward. I knew what services I was getting, what fees I was expected to pay, and how long I will be waiting. While waiting, the lobby space is clean and spacious with WiFi access, so I was able to get my work done on a weekday. I also wanted to check ahead of time regarding my lease and once my lease is up, I am definitely coming back for that 25 or 26 Atlas Cross-Sport. When my service was completed, I received a nice video inspection provided by the maintenance team and to my surprise, Ariana was able to waive the service fee as my car was still under warranty. Thanks for the care you put in towards your customers. See you in 9 months when I'm ready to lease a new vehicle.
