    Churro Platter
    Annie Y.

Limited parking spaces. Waitlist via Yelp as I waited for a host to waitlist me, but they seem pretty busy, so it was harder to find a host. They get pretty packed, so expect some waiting time. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito and Churro Platter. The Breakfast Burrito was delicious and comes with a small green salsa. The Churro Platter was okay (too sweet for me), and it comes with 3 dipping sauces (chocolate, caramel, and condensed milk?) But for someone who loves churros, it would be a great dessert. Recommendation(s): - Breakfast Burrito Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Waitlist via Yelp - Small parking lot

The plate was shared that's why it looks empty. All the food was cold.

For the premium price that they charge truly not worth it. Service is just ok. When we asked to reheat our cold food the waitress asked "why"! Again, truly, not worth all the money

I drive by this place so many times a week and decided to try it out with my mom. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We only walked in to check in and immediately went back out to sit on the patio so this review is solely on the outside experience. I didn't use the restrooms insure so can't speak on that either. The waitress was very nice and they came outside frequently to check on us. The menu had so many options that looked delicious. I got the house burrito and it was delicious. The red salsa was spicy so be warm if you don't like spicy food. The egg on top just elevated the taste for me. I also added some pickled onions from my mom's plate to eat with my burrito delicious. I had the cafe delicious and it was indeed delicious. I can see myself stopping by just for this in the morning. I plan to go back again and sit inside. I went on opening day for the dodgers so the inside was pretty full with people eating in their jerseys.

10/10 5 Star experience, staff is friendly and quick. Food was even better. Fresh ingredients great coffee and drinks. My iced cafe de Olla was game changing for a hot day like today. The banana smoothie was A1 will definitely be back

To put it smile this is the place to be it has Delicious food and a beautiful ambiance. I just moved to West Covina and I've been looking for a crepe place and I STRUCK GOLD! Best food in town. I can't wait to come back. (Also order your potatoes crispy!)

Loved this restaurant and have been coming here for dine in and take out for years prior to leaving LA. The food is delicious. We have been in town visiting with our service animal and the manager flat out rejected us from sitting inside with the dog... the dog is not a pet Sadly because of this I don't think I can support this Caramelo location anymore. ADA compliance and accommodation is hugely important to us as my partner has a disability that that requires us to have a dog trained for medical alerts. It is a shame.

    Waikiki Crepe no pecans

Caramelo Cafe has my favorite crepes. It's been years since I visited and I went for my favorite, the Waikiki. I ordered it without pecans, however, due to dietary restrictions. My mom ordered one of the crepes with strawberries and it came with a lot. She ended up taking a bunch out. The service was nice and quick, but it was a Monday morning so it wasn't busy. It did take a while to get the bill. The cafe is small and I can't imagine how packed it is on the weekends. They do have patio seating though.

Service: on a Monday afternoon, our party was greeted and sat right away. We chose to eat inside. It wasn't busy at all. Perfect! Our server was nice and attentive. Food/Drinks: we didn't get to try any drinks besides the fresh OJ. The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their plates. They serve big portions, especially Huevos Rancheros and the crepes. I added chicken to my order of huevos rancheros and thought it was a bit over seasoned with pepper/salt. Cleanliness: The space is small inside and there's more seating outside patio area. It's clean and comfortable. Overall it was a good experience. Would come back for the food. Its not a trendy, Instagram spot for photos. The food is the star of the show.

Now first off let me say the service here is A1. I have never had better service anywhere in my life. It's my first visit and I felt right at home. I came with my fiancé and our son for a morning breakfast at 8:30am. A very quaint environment with good music to set a good chill mood. I started with the abuelita hot chocolate. It came with a mountain of real whip cream on top and was absolutely delicious. I played it safe and ordered the pancake combo since it was my first visit. The combo came with one single pancake, eggs, 2 strips of bacon and home fries. I wasn't familiar with the term home fries, but I would describe them as thinly sliced potatoes cooked to perfection. Both wet and dry at the same time. The bacon and the pancake were both cooked perfectly. As were the eggs and home fries too but I just added some salt, pepper and chalula sauce to get them how i like it. Now for the crepes combo. This Comes with the same sides but with a massive berry crepe to go along with it. This meal is definitely for those you like to explore flavors in their dish. A lot of color and excitement in the crepes. Overall I paid $70 for the meal with the tip included. I feel that this place is a little pricey but very well worth it. Everything they cooked was perfect and the service was incredible. I might be a regular for Saturday mornings now.

Upon arrival the parking situation is a bit limited as it is in a packed shopping center but we were able to find a spot near by on a Saturday morning. The guest list on Yelp wasn't working so we had to check in with the lady at the front door. She told me it was about a 30 minute wait but we waited around 55 minutes to get seated. This location is really small compared to the other spot in LP- so we were seated really close to the couple next to us. One of the biggest take aways from here is that the service wait time is a lot longer than the other location; getting seated, getting order taken and getting your food. We waited quite some time to get our food after getting our order and my partner got his food way before I did (not a problem if you don't mind eating without your other partner). As we were seated right next to the other couple they had the same issues. Now I'm not sure if it's due to the size of the location and the number of staff but it would a great place if they could speed up the service time. The part that saved this for me was the food, it was amazing; yes it took some time to come out but it was worth it! Very yummy foods, just expect a long wait on weekends.

Mocha Iced Coffee ($4.74) and ice water.

4.5 Stars Stopped in for a late breakfast and had a much better experience than last time. It was busy, but the staff seemed to be much better organized today than any other visit. They're always friendly, but everything seemed to run smoother. The food is always quite tasty, no complaints here, and there's plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. My wife had a Mocha Iced Coffee ($4.74) which had just a hint of sweetness and very refreshing. She commented that the other coffees she's had in the past were very sweet. For our entrées, my wife tried the Chilaquiles ($16.38) and I ordered the Laredo Skillet ($21.29), topped with two eggs and choice of toast. Mine came with an awesome Salsa Verde, which was acidic but full of flavor and was fantastic over the spicy chorizo, potatoes, and Jack cheese. The serving sizes are plenty filling, and I was able to take home leftovers from my skillet to make a breakfast burrito for the next day. This location is a little smaller than their original location on Amar Rd., but with both indoor and covered patio dining areas available, there's usually not much of a wait.

Food and service are terrific. It was a nice day to sit outside and there were no insects to worry about. Good for brunch and lunch and probably dinner. Atmosphere is casual. They have sweet and savory crepes. I had their veggie skillet and that is a lot of food. My eggs were overcooked but they redid them.

    Cafe de Olla
    Marissa T.

I love coming to Caramelo Cafe for breakfast! My go to dish is the huevos rancheros, the sauce is nice and spicy and it comes with a side of potatoes. I also always need something sweet so I get the La Fraise and can't forget to order a café de olla, they serve them in these super cute mugs. The service is always great, they make you feel welcomed. I love coming and when the weather is good sitting on the outside patio.

Any of the T-Swirls actually are worth going to, I wish there was one in the Bay Area. I may be hyping it up because I personally like it so much. Ordering is easy, there are two kiosks and then you get your crepe within 5 minutes. I always order the Matcha Chocolate Truffles crepe. My boyfriend and family members have ordered other ones. Everyone generally likes the crepes they ordered. I like how the crepe is super crispy and the ingredients in it is like a party in my mouth. I have yet to try a crepe like the Matcha Chocolate Truffles! Can't wait to come back during my next SoCal trip.

Delicious and filling, but long wait…read more.. Been a while since I came here. This is at least my second time ordering from here. Somehow I always end up ordering a savory crepe. The first time I got something with imitation crab and it was so flavorful! Egg White Mushroom Ttruffle (savory crepe) ($10 pre tax) + $1.50 to add avocado Everything was very fresh and made to order. There is a bit of tangy/vinegar taste from the sauce they added which worked well with the rest of the flavors. Spinach was nice and fresh, can taste the natural flavors of the mushrooms. The egg whites were cooked/pan fried with beautifully crispy edges. Inside is not bad. There are some tables and seats and some cute decorations. If you're in a hurry, don't order here, especially if it's a savory crepe. Two orders after me with sweet crepes were ready before mine was ready...I waited 20 minutes. Only two staff members were there to prepare food and drinks. There are two kiosks for placing orders. They now have $4.99 mini crepes from 12-5pm daily, but they only had a few to choose from, none of which are savory crepes. Lots of parking spaces in the plaza. Love the food (5 stars), but just minus one star for the wait.
