This placed was called "Lucky Sakura" before when it was first opened in 2021-2022. It is located in the Tokyo Central plaza near the Dunkin donut stores. Plenty of parking because it shared with a whole bunch of stores in the strip mall. Regardless of change of owner or the change of name, this place is always known for its mochi with stuffings and cute design. You can always customize your preference or have to custom make for you. The difference is probably they have less variety of food now, just mochi and cakes. Flora Bakery & Tea has been in business for almost a year. The quality of mochi is still great, size is still big and cost is still kind of pricey. You get 3 for $20. The interior design of this store has a comfortable feeling and some area where you can sit outside or inside to chitchat and eat your dessert. They have many kind of options. Different cartoon and different stuffings in there for example, strawberry, green apple, peach, Oreo, mango. Each one has a very good taste to it. Highly recommended for dessert place and there isn't many if any of these kind if store around in LA / Orange county.

I've been really wanting to go here since I saw them popping up on my Instagram. My parents took me to a restaurant near by. So I asked if I can go by there. I drove from San Diego to OC and my parents drove us to West Covina. The place is so adorable. It's small, but so cute. We only got the mango panna cotta, because everything was sold out!! But they were willing to have someone drove some desserts to that store from their 2nd location if we wanted to buy something else. I couldn't believe they went above and beyond for us. We sadly have to decline since I came with my parents and don't want them to wait. They definitely get 5 stars for service alone. The Panna cotta are delicious!! My dad love it so much that he wanted to come back! I'm glad because I wanted to come back to try more stuff. They said to call or message them to order before coming to ensure we can get what we want.

A bakery where you can order cute sweets. They offer many different kinds and I was really enjoyed the creativity they bring to bakery. Many good products packaged ready for gifting.

This location used to be called Lucky Sakura. I'm not sure if it's the same owners and just a name change because the interior looks the same and they sell the same daifuku. The daifuku is sooooo cute! They do a great job with the decorations. I've been trying to get the piggies for my kids but they were sold out the first couple times I went. Most recently, I went right when they opened on a Saturday morning and there was one box. A few ladies came to restock but they didn't have any new piggies so it doesn't seem like they make them fresh daily. The employees were kind and allowed me to select which daifuku I wanted in a variety box so I could try different flavors. I wish they offered more fresh fruit options. Most of their daifuku have popping boba in them and doesn't taste as good as the fresh fruit ones. Overall, these are super cute and worth a try but I would recommend getting fresh ones and eating them the same day because they do not keep well. I don't know how long the piggies were sitting on the shelf because the mochi part was a bit soggy when I bit into it.

    3 different flavors on mochi.

I was in the area for work and my nieces requested that I stop here for some dessert. Parking was easy. The place was small, I didn't see any seating area, maybe outdoors? They specialized mostly on mochi, which I was there for. I didn't know which flavors to pick and the lady was nice enough to allow me to pick one of each and she can package them in three like the ones for sale. Loved that idea, so this option allowed me to get 6 different flavors. Sadly, I only took a picture of one the set I bought. The Mochis were not too sweet. I probably would be okay with a little more sweetness. Our favorite were the green apple, lychee and passion fruit. If in the area, I probably would bring back some.

Such a yummy mochi dessert spot! The mochi was super soft and chewy, not too sweet, and the filling was generous and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh, and the texture was perfect. Loved how cute and colorful the desserts are too, definitely hard to choose just one. Will 100% be back to try more flavors!

Honey matcha flavor. Note the chewy boba inside. Great texture.

This was our first time coming to this bakery and it was difficult to leave. Seriously, we tried leaving two separate times before getting distracted by something and coming back in to order more. This place is a gem. The store itself is cute, with lots of flowers and a traditional Chinese theme for the staff, who were very helpful and friendly. Their dessert designs are gorgeous, and their flavors are surprisingly delicate. We had: Lots of Mochi: So our first round included lychee, honey matcha, and pineapple (pikachu)... then we bought persimmon, coconut purple rice, and apple after the first round when we couldn't resist. Overall the flavors are delicate, the textures are amazing (chewy, soft, not sticky or powdery). The cream in the filling was light and delicate, the chewy boba had just the right amount of Q, and the popping boba was satisfying. Everything tasted like it was supposed to, but delicate and light so you could keep eating. Our favorite was the honey matcha with chewy boba, though all of them were good. Tang Hulu: Their haw based traditional candies had a little extra that made them stand out. First, the base flavor and the sauce were exactly how they were supposed to taste. Gentle, sweet, a little sour, and a little savory. The rice paper wrapping was nice touch over the top of it, but the roasted sesame made all of flavors pop. My wife would go back just for these, and my mother in law actually asked us for the address so she could buy these herself. Jian Bing: Like their desserts, their jian bing was light and delicate, well fried so that it's crispy without being greasy. This was our second attempt to leave when we got turned back by the picture of this thing on a sign outside. The sauce was good, the textures were good, not much to say. If you like this type of food, it's a good example of what it can be. This is a very cute store with friendly staff with some very nice offerings. We're happy we tried it out, and I think the best compliment I can give them is that the food tastes as good as it looks.

Things are really cute if you're looking for aesthetics. The skin has no flavor or the cream; the cream isn't high quality. It's quite pricey for what it is around $20 per box. I think you can go and buy 1 box for fun, and be done. If they improve the taste I think the store has a chance to last longer. Otherwise I'll go elsewhere for treats.

    strawberry and creme

If you're looking for a spot to satisfy your dessert cravings, this place is a gem. Their daifuku mochi is made with fresh fruit and rich, smooth cream. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The portions are pretty reasonable for the price. One of my favorite touches is their adorable character designs and the sheer variety of flavors available. Whether you're a traditional mochi lover or someone who likes to try something new, there's always something that catches your eye (and your taste buds). It's the perfect balance between playful presentation and delicious desserts. Overall, a delightful spot for anyone who appreciates thoughtfully made sweets.

Panda lychee mochi (w/ popping boba), apple mochi (with popping boba), and unicorn mango fruit mochi.

This shop was cute. I came around closing time so there were few options. I got three mochis for $20 which is on the pricier side so I would get it for a once in a while thing. By far though, it was definitely the most softest mochi I ever had and it was delicious. It looks like they will be serving other various desserts/food in the near future too so I would come back to try those.

look at it. just look at it. art. beauty. taste. not too sweet. mochi and filling ratio perfect. handmade. friendly and informative customer service. you can mix and match and customize your order. love.

Piggy Mochi, Dango, and Sakura Flower

Owner is so kind and gifted me the red dango with red beans. It is so true that they make these mochi fresh everyday. When I wanted into the store, the workers were hand making the mochi and you can see that they put a lot of effort into each one. Every single one of them has been delicious so far and I cannot wait to come back!

They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. There really wasn't anything more than I could've asked of this visit to the ice cream shop. This was so special. Servers: Art & Austin
