I believe consumers deserve to be informed, ask questions, carefully review documents, and protect themselves before making decisions. During my experience, I observed several practices that raised serious concerns regarding customer transparency and fairness: 1. Consignment sales: Customers may be told that if their vehicle is sold within the first month, they can receive a higher payout, such as an additional $2,000. However, based on what I observed, many vehicles were sold within days or within a short period after arriving at the dealership, while customers were not always promptly informed. In some situations, the vehicle continued to appear online, and payment was delayed until after the one-month period, which could result in the customer receiving the lower payout instead of the higher amount. Consumers should ask for written confirmation regarding how and when they will be notified once a vehicle is sold. 2. Add-on products: I observed situations involving third-party products such as warranties, GPS devices, and similar add-ons being sold to customers as standard retail products. Based on the information available to me, there were concerns regarding how these products were sourced, priced, and presented to customers. Consumers should request written documentation regarding the actual provider, pricing, and coverage details before agreeing to additional products. 3. Sales price reporting: I observed situations where the amount paid by the customer and the amount reflected in certain vehicle-related paperwork appeared inconsistent. In some cases, customers paid taxes based on the actual vehicle price, while documents submitted for registration or tax-related purposes appeared to reflect a lower amount. Consumers should carefully review all purchase contracts, DMV paperwork, tax-related documents, and payment records, and retain copies for comparison. 4. Registration fees and refund checks: During my experience, I observed situations where customers were charged registration or renewal-related fees even when renewal did not appear to be required. Based on what I observed, the fees were still collected upfront from customers. I also observed an internal computer folder containing a large number of scanned refund checks related to registration or fee adjustments. In some situations, customers who later followed up about refunds were told that a refund check had already been mailed but may have been lost and could be reissued. Based on what I observed, if customers did not actively follow up, refund issues might remain unresolved. Consumers should carefully review all registration-related charges, ask whether renewal is actually required, request written confirmation regarding any refund, and keep copies of all documents and communications. 5. Tire condition disclosures: I observed situations where customers were charged for new tires, but the tires installed did not appear to be new. Consumers should ask for written confirmation regarding whether parts or tires are new or used and carefully inspect the vehicle before finalizing a purchase. I am sharing this information because I believe consumers deserve transparency, accurate information, and fair treatment. When I raised this issue with the dealership, they suggested I try an air freshener myself. This left me questioning whether they had used one to cover up the problem in the first place. I have tried everything from air fresheners to professional detailing and even an ozone machine, but none have been effective in eliminating the smell. The management's only response was that they had done what they could, which included replacing the cabin air filter and detailing the car. However, the odor persists to the extent that it has affected my family's health; my son has had to visit the doctor multiple times due to the intensity of the smell. Anything left in the car now carries that unpleasant odor, and it has even started to affect my own clothing and hair. I cannot recommend this dealership to anyone I care about, as my experience has been very troubling. The thing is, this I8 is over my budget. Mars provide me the other option which is finance for International Students. I cant believe that because it always need credits/SSN. I got approved within just one day and had my I8 home. The downpayment is low and the APR is also good compared with other Auto Group in great LA county.
