I live fairly close to Godfather's Pizza and I come here occasionally not often but they do have good lunch specials sometimes which is nice and I recommend it for their pizza and meal deals. They do have fresh pizza ready in the oven when you walk in near the counter that you can get as well as a nice salad bar and custom style pizza. I used to enjoy eating at Godfather's Pizza growing up in Moorhead, Minnesota. I ate at the Brooklyn Park location a few times when I first lived there during the 1990s. When I learned Rocky Rococo no longer has a buffet but Godfather's still does, I decided to have lunch at the latter yesterday. The buffet (available 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) is just over $11 not counting tax and drinks. The pizza selection and salad bar were okay. I definitely got my fill. The place could have been cleaner. No one came by to take away my dirty dishes despite my being there for over two hours. I still left a tip because I also wanted to leave a gospel tract for whoever cleaned the table. The owner is very friendly with both new & returning customers & the staff is friendly, skilled, & professional. While I LOVE a good Mozza-Loaded pizza, the thin crust is equally divine. With most places, a thin crust pizza is literally just a thinner version of their regular crust, but this one is PERFECTION in thin crust pizza. The environment is simple, yet immersive with something to catch your eye as you promise yourself "just ONE more slice." I am pleased there is still one full-service, lonesome free-standing Godfather's Pizza left in this Northern world. I was beginning to think they were a thing of the past now. I was first introduced to Godfather's 15 years ago and I think of them often with a sort of happy nostalgia that only comes from when you eat food from your childhood. We live in a huge metro with a plethora of pizza options, but I gravitated towards Brooklyn Park today in search of Thin Crust Pepperoni and a Cinnamon Streusel Dessert pizza. The thin crust is just so crispy, cheesy and good, I know you could probably get "better" thin crust elsewhere, but today I wasn't looking for the "best" out there. I was looking to relive some memories. I was also happy to see they offered a Large One Topper for $12.99 (carryout) which you can get any day of the week apparently! When I walked in I was hit with the smell of pizza crust and cheese, and slightly worn out, old-school decorations inside. Which could either be seen as divey, or just a place with charm and warm character. I am happy they still have their Buffet everyday. I have some good memories of the Pizza Buffet and salad, all you can eat. They will make any pizza you ask for and put it on the buffet line. In addition to their thin crust, I am also a huge fan of their Bacon Cheeseburger pizza on the regular crust. It comes with a little cup of pickles which you can put on your slices or eat by themselves. There is just something about it that I love! Thanks for making my evening Godfather's. We had always thought it would be a good idea to give this place a try. Especially since it had been awhile since I had been here. When we walked in the place was just a little busy, especially for the lunch buffet. We had already decided on the buffet, I mean what better way to sample the various pizzas, and not break the bank. When we payed for our meal upon entering, the cashier was extremely nice, and mentioned any style of pizza we wanted, he will make for us. I pretty much had a little of everything: from the salad bar, to the dessert pizza, to the several different slices of pizzas. It seems that this was one of the best pizza buffets, I have had for awhile. Not only were the pizzas piping hot, but it seems that they were just oozing of flavor. It seems that one of employees would come around every 15 minutes or so to clear our tables, of empty plates. I feel that of all the various flavors of pizza my favorite would most definitely be pepperoni. I do so want to go back, and yes try their buffet once again. read more

The BUFFET IS BACK folks ! We hadn't been since March 2020, when things started shutting down. By September, we needed our Taco Pizza fix so we decided to drive up for lunch and get a large pie. We discovered they have been resuming a Socially Distant buffet, where an employee will serve you slices of pie, dessert pizza, and the rest. I only order delivery from here on occasion when I can't step out of the house. It's the closest place that has delivery to where I live. Otherwise, I'd probably never ever give this shitty place my money. Consistently, the order takers from this place always gets something wrong on my order. The staff there obviously are not detailed oriented people at all. The delivery guy is always super apologetic about it, and I can't blame him really since he didn't take the order. If you ever order delivery from this place, make sure to make the order taker repeat everything to you no matter how much it annoys him/her to do so. It's their job to take your order correctly and for most average people, it's not a very difficult task, but I assume the staff at this place must have been born yesterday. read more

Wednesday afternoon my buddy and I crawl out of the gym after doing a demo job on during leg day, I get the text "we're short 4, 10pm, light jersey." Oh damn. Hockey game after leg day? It was time to start calorie reloading, and with 'Potle already consumed that day, pizza buffet sprung to mind. Enter.... Godfathers. I've been here a few times in the past but was pleasantly surprised this go around. We stroll up to the counter, pay for the buffet and instantly ask for a few specialty pies. For those that don't go here often, they will make you ANY pie you want, and let you know when it's done. First one: Pesto Chicken & Spinach (Chicken, Spinach, Mushrooms, Pesto, Seasoned Cheese & Mozzarella Cheese). Brief wait while we indulge in salad and pick at the cheese bread which is reason enough to go here. We get told it's ready and we swarm like piranhas. Pizza is gone in a matter of seconds (beat that consumption time bastard fishes!). The pie was pretty damn good. Very light too, which is what we're going for. Chicken was that of freezer quality and nuked, while the veggies were can fresh! Except the spinach. That may have come from a plastic bag. I'll ask next time... or I won't because, well, some things are best left to mystery. Pesto was solid for a jar pesto. Decent olive oil and basil taste. Mozz was applied really thick which was fantastic for someone that says cheese is good on anything. Next pie, Pesto Chicken Artichoke (Chicken, Artichoke Hearts, Pesto, Seasoned Cheese & Mozzarella Cheese). Not bad at all. The arty hearts were a little tough but, that was the only real complaint we had about this one. Otherwise, solid amount of cheese. Last one, Sicilian Veggie (Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Tomatoes, Black Olives, Garlic & Olive Oil, Seasoned Cheese & Mozzarella Cheese). I know what you're thinking, "you got a veggie pizza!?" Hell no. I politely asked them to add chicken and they happily obliged - probably out of fear we'd turn cannibal and eat them along with all the pizza we had already consumed. This was a really good pizza, and had a lot of flavor. Some solid salty flavor from the cheeses and the veggies added enough texture/spice/flavor to really pull it all together. Chicken was just for extra protein and so my conscience didn't kick me in the teeth all day for ordering a veggie pizza. Top it all that off... a slice of their gigantic chocolate chip cookie. Some cinnamon monkey bread and a slice or two of the apple dessert pizza. Overall review of the crusts, it's easy for a crust to take away from a pizza and make it a bust... or as bad as pizza can get, because even bad pizza is still pizza after all. Their crusts will never win any awards, but, it doesn't take anything away or make you hate it - solid for a buffet pizza, in my opinion. Will I go back? Of course. I find it fun to eat about 6000 calories in one sitting. As do my friends. Plus we're all dumb enough to take another game after ripping our legs apart so I'm sure we'll do this again (just hopefully not soon). One final tip, watch your step going into the dining area by the game room. There is a nasty little step that this ogre tripped on a couple of times. read more

I've been going to Godfather's since I was a pre-teen. My dad stopped bringing me along when it became clear I wouldn't eat more than three pieces of pizza from the buffet. As an adult, I rarely go to buffets because I'm just not that kind of eater. But I'd heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend that Godfather's does gluten-free pizzas now. That unmistakable sauce was calling my name, and now I can answer. The crust is thin, not heavy or grainy. I can place a carry-out order and, due to the unfortunate low volume of customers, there's hardly any delay in getting the pizza. They even offer a GF pizza punch card. The fifth or sixth one is free! The front of Godfather's faces the monstrous beige wall of Brunswick Zone. I wouldn't say the Village North mall's parking lot was any more attractive, but it certainly wasn't as menacing. I've yet to see another customer while picking up a pizza. My hope is that I'm just missing the lunch rush, and that all the revitalization efforts of the good ol' BP aren't destroying all the lower-middle class institutions I came to love. read more

When I discovered there was still a full service Godfather's Pizza in the area I had to come here - the one in my home town had closed years ago. I have to admit when I first walked in I had my doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Great buffet - They will take requests of your fav pizza and put it on the buffet for you. They also will leave the pizza out after the buffet is over as to not waste it which is nice. Staff are friendly and although part of a chain it feels like a family restaurant. My only complaint is the bathroom - one stall in the men's and it's really small. Some might complain about the decor (it doesn't look like it's changed since the 90s) but I think it's cool - just like the one I used to have growing up, with great food and friendly staff as well! WORST EVER! Tonight was easily the WORST buffet experience I've EVER had! And I love Godfathers Pizza. Buffet was essentially empty the whole time I was there. No salad on salad bar, no pizza on the buffet & two employees standing around talking to each other. The first pizza slices I got were from personal size pizzas & were maybe two bites each. The restaurant was jammed & they're putting out personal size pizzas for the buffet? They were gone in seconds! Only major issue is the busser was too efficient - couldn't the guy at least wait until I was done before grabbing my plates?
