I was skeptical based on prior reviews. However, I had a good and satisfying experience. I had Reuben sandwich with Onion Rings. Plenty of food. Onion rings are hand made and well worth the try. Reuben was full of meat and also very tasty. I would return. Ordered pizza to go but it looks great. Nice thin crust and lots of cheese. My service was great. Drink was always full and checked on plenty of times.

As you can tell by French fries, they don't change out their grease very often

Horrible food , wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, service Was fine and waitress tried to make it right .. only good thing was beers are two for one .

pizza fries, brews, and basket of fries

It was hot, and had cheese on it. They're stingy with the pepperoni, and the crust was cardboard. Meh.

I've always loved Carbone's and grew up eating it at the original St. Paul location. This was good as always and they also free chili today!

Great pizza. But the bar staff seems rather cold to this out-of-towner. Not much conversation, all business. Maybe I smell bad.

The restaurant itself has a nice style, but it has more of an open concept vibe. It can get loud indoors, especially if there's a sporting event on. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a Taphouse, after all, but it's something to keep in mind if you're looking for a quieter restaurant. The staff has always been very nice. We've never had any issues with the service. We were starving, so we ordered quite a bit of food. We started with the crispy fried pickles. These are pretty dang great, and my wife described them as the "best fried pickles" she's ever had. I thought they were good too, but maybe not the best. You get a decent amount, a little expensive at $12. We decided to splurge on a second appetizer and ordered the jumbo bacon cheddar chive tots. These are absolutely amazing. "Heavenly" is probably the best way to describe them. I feel like I could eat 30 of these in one sitting because they're that good. They have to be some of the best jumbo tots I've ever had at a restaurant, and the house aioli makes them even better. They're $13, and while they're still a little expensive, you do get a good portion. They're good enough that I'd call them an absolute must order. My wife got the Spicy Honey Salmon Bowl and really liked it. Since it's salmon, it's obviously going to be a little more expensive, but I was impressed with the portion size. She even had leftovers to take home, and she said they reheated really well. I've been searching for the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich in the area, so I decided to order theirs. It's also available in a "Minnesota Nice" spice level, but I ordered the regular spice version. Overall, it was pretty good, but it's not the best Nashville hot chicken sandwich I've had. That said, it's probably one of the better ones in the area and MUCH MUCH better than Barley & Vine's version. I do wish it had been a little hotter because it really isn't that spicy. There's a little heat, but not much. As for the flavor of the sauce, I thought it was good, but I've definitely had better and I've certainly had worse. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, and I'd order it again. I got it with their fries and have no complaints there either. We sat outside since the weather was nice and really enjoyed the patio. The bugs were a little annoying, but there's only so much the restaurant can do about that. The service wasn't slow, but it also wasn't particularly fast. Our waitress was kind. Altogether, we ended up spending over $80 after tax and tip. It felt a little pricey, but we did order two appetizers, and my wife had salmon. There are definitely more affordable options on the menu, and considering what most restaurants are charging these days, I can't complain too much. One thing I can and will complain about, and it's partially why I deducted a star, is the 3% credit card fee. They're passing part of their overhead operating/processing costs on to the customer, on top of the higher menu prices we've all seen over the past few years. That's disappointing to see. All that said, I recommend this restaurant, and we'll definitely be back. The credit card processing fee is incredibly annoying, and while the Nashville hot chicken sandwich wasn't amazing, it was still good. The jumbo bacon cheddar chive tots are an absolute must order, and the staff has always been friendly.

I went there for lunch and sat at the bar. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. There are over 100 choices of burger combinations on the menu. The burger was delicious. I told my boss about it and now we're going there for dinner tonight. Twice in 1 day? Yup! And I'll be back before I head back home.

The Burger Monarchy: A Paradox of Plenty in Miesville In the…read morequiet, pastoral stretches outside Eagan, there exists a roadside institution that defies the modern trend of curated minimalism. King's Place in Miesville is a relic of a different era, a burger joint that functions less like a restaurant and more like a high-volume assembly line of Americana. The menu is not merely large; it is an overwhelming, multi-page manifesto of beef. With roughly 80 to 100 variations on the burger--many named in tribute to the local Miesville Mudhens baseball team--the experience begins with a bout of genuine decision paralysis. For the average diner, the sheer volume of choices feels like a dare. It is a place where you can find almost any topping imaginable, which makes the absence of a simple fried mushroom all the more jarring. It is the one note the kitchen fails to hit in an otherwise exhaustive symphony. When the food does arrive, the logistics are the primary entertainment. The floor staff at King's Place perform a nightly feat of athletic grace, weaving through the crowded, character-filled dining room while balancing five or more burger trays at a time. It is a spectacle of efficiency that puts the sterile, automated nature of modern chains to shame. However, one must navigate the side dishes with a discerning eye. While the temptation to "upgrade" is always present, the seasoned waffle fries are an investment that yields little return; they are best skipped in favor of the standard fare. The real value here lies in the core product and the refreshing lack of pretension. Despite the fame and the daunting menu, the pricing remains stubbornly reasonable, a rare feat for an establishment that has transitioned from a local secret to a regional landmark. "Life is too short to miss out on the beautiful things like a double cheeseburger." -- Channing Tatum For those seeking the predictable polish of a franchise, King's Place will be a confusing sensory overload. But for the traveler who values soul, speed, and a price point that respects the wallet, this is a kingdom worth visiting--just don't expect to find a fried mushroom on your plate. I'm shocked to see the rating as high as it is at this establishment...The reason we chose this…read morerestaurant over others, is BECAUSE of the rating.... When we walked in it was busy and the hostess was friendly and estimated the wait time to be around 5 minutes, and it was; which was nice. We were seated in the porch area (there is a garage door that separates it from the rest of the restaurant) and it was sticky. The air was like the outdoors (SUPER humid day) but not as warm; there clearly was no AC. They did have a big ass fan on (that's the brand name I believe ) but it was on so low- you could not feel it. We all ordered drinks and only my husband was asked if he wanted a refill (family of 6 here). Our waitress never checked on us to ask how the food was until she asked if we were ready for our bill. My oldest son ordered a pizza with banana peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni, and instead he got a pizza with green peppers, no mushrooms, and a little bit of pepperoni. My husband ordered a burger which he said was dry and so dry in fact he had to remove part of his bun (he is NOT a picky eater). I ordered a Rachel. My sandwich was incredibly dry and the only reason I almost finished it was because there was no way I was letting a 15.00 sandwich go to waste.... My oldest daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was comparable to something she could have made herself (age 9) and thrown in the microwave. My youngest daughter (age 3) ordered a grilled cheese and it was so bad that she refused to eat it. I tried it and it tasted like wax. Velveeta cheese does not make a good grilled cheese especially when it's cold by the time you get to eat it. It was inedible, we ended up throwing it away. The only person who got decent food was my second son who ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza. He said it was pretty good. I will say this place serves "bar food". We will not be returning. The waitress did take the messed up pizza off of our bill (we appreciated that) but, if she had checked up on us earlier, he could have just had a new one made... I fully understand that it was busy, but it's still not an excuse for poor service and bad food. I have worked in restaurants from low end to high end, so I know how it works. We would have appreciated a check in from our waitress and a smile at least... She could have been having a bad day, but don't take that out on the customer. At least the hostess was friendly. I also want to add that the menu has way too many options... maybe if there were less options, they could perfect some of their recipes in order for the food to taste better... Sometimes too many options is not a good thing.
