A very interesting and definitely Midwest joint. I happened to come on a Thursday evening while they do a meat raffle in the bar area. First of all, I'm new to the area and the Midwest, so what the hell is a meat raffle! They sell raffle tickets and spin a wheel and raffle off meat and also give away free drinks. It was absolutely packed. Note to parents...not the most friendliest of bars for kiddos. (Lots of "F" words flying around). They have pull tabs and plenty of tvs showing sports. Also being gfree, they don't have any gfree options other than salad (no bread). Bummmmer! It will take a lot for me to come back. read more

We do their "Take and Bake" pizza 1-2 times a month. The pizza is perfect when we bake it in our own oven. Always amazing!

Good house special pizza. It's kind of a dump, just take it to go and enjoy it for what it is! I only wish they had delivery.

Staff was very friendly & efficient. Had a couple bites of of crust I found after peeling off ridiculous amounts of gelatinous rubbery goo. Pale tomato mush. Not a sprig of basil. Margarita Pizza should be simple & fresh. Especially in August. Sorry to say it was really bad. read more

Went to Carbone's for lunch with a friend a few days ago. I have to preface this review by saying that Carbone's, especially this location, has excellent pizza. Unlike many Carbone's franchises, this location uses the original recipes from the original Carbone's. However, this review is about their chicken "Caesar" salad. STAY AWAY. The menu states that the salad would be a blend of romaine and iceberg lettuce, with mozzarella on top, along with grilled chicken. What arrived was a modest plate of iceberg lettuce (no romaine) and chicken that appeared to have been cooked on a griddle vs. being grilled. The mozzarella was just available in the usual pizza joint shakers. The Caesar dressing was not tossed with the iceberg lettuce. Rather, it arrived in a small plastic container on the side. Very disappointing. I asked the server about the salad not containing any romaine and she replied "We do not have any romaine" with no further comment. I suggested I would have ordered something else if I knew that I was getting a plain salad. She didn't respond and walked away. Not what I expected..... I do take some blame for ordering a caesar salad in a pizza joint..... read more

We ordered Italian cheese bread and we got melted cheese bread in a microwave ordered hot wings and they were frozen crap that was soggy and when we complained we were told by our server "we microwave them. We have had many complaints the past few months and we have changed them many times because nobody likes them" um Then maybe take them off the menu?! just because it's the tail end of a pandemic (covid and its May 2021) doesn't mean you serve me food that's not even gas station hot bar quality - i wish i had photos of the good - we didn't eat the wings or bread and my salad was the only normal thing we ordered. My mom just tried to order a special pizza, the guy who answered the phone said he didn't know what a special was and she had to explain it to him, he was super rude and ended up hanging up on her. We called back to cancel the pizza and the same guy answered and when he heard her voice he hung up on her. She called back a third time and asked to speak to a manager and he said 'there isn't one' and hung up again. Super disappointing, the food at other locations has been good but we're afraid to use this location now :( read more

Pizza is excellent. Staff is excellent. However, I like a few cold beers when I go out, and this place must hardly clean out their tap lines. The miller light tasted moldy once again. Ordered some pizza on doordash today. I have just one question. Carbone's, are you aware that people actually have to eat your food? I had to stop eating it and eat something else just to get the taste out of my mouth. The pizza was covered in cheese. Normally this okay because I love cheese but this cheese was disgusting. Me, a cheese lover, actually had to pick the cheese off. It was also a major grease fest. The pepperonis were raw and my mother said that she could tell the mushrooms were canned. Dear Carbone chefs, if you wouldn't eat it, please don't serve it to anyone else. read more

Carbone's has the most consistently good pizza in the valley. From their sauce and ingredients to the crust. Have had a couple of overcooked and undercooked crust's over the past 20+ years, but overall the best overall pizza. read more

Perfect thin crust greasy pizza. This was our go to pizza place as a kid and now that I've moved back to the area, it's still as good. Good for dine in or takeout, I haven't done delivery yet. There is an average sized restaurant area and a similar sized bar area in an adjoining room; choose your vibe for dine in. Monday, March 21, 2022, evening shift. Horrible service. We sat at the bar, ordered our drinks, asked for a menu, nothing. We waited at least 20 minutes to order a pizza, she never took our order. The Joe's Pizza is the best pizza in town. We substitute the onion for green pepper and get it well done. Money! Kids love the pizza fries.

My first time eating here. I had heard many good things about this place. Great atmosphere, great pizza, etc... Unfortunately, I disagree. The pizza wasn't great. The crust was good. There was a ton of cheese, so much that the toppings were buried. I like my pepperoni on top of the cheese so it actually gets cooked, I'm not a big fan of warm raw pepperoni. The sauce was overwhelming in quantity and very underwhelming in quality. I also ordered some cheese bread. That dipping sauce that came with it was actually petty good. The service was mediocre at best, and considering my family were the only patrons at one point, I would expect more. The restroom was in the restaurant part of the building but it was obviously shared with the bar. Very dirty and unpleasant smelling. For what I paid for and what I got in return, out is doubtful I will eat there again... read more

I have purchased a pepperoni or pepperoni/green pepper large pizza from this location for 10 years or more. It is my favorite pizza, until today. We had a poor tasting pizza today. A different flavor than the past. If you changed your sauce, cheese, or pepperoni please go back to the original. We'll give it one more try, but only one. read more

TERRIBLE customer service!! Ordered pizza to be delivered ....1/2 sausage and 1/2 cheese deep dish. When delivered paid 25.00 and opened it up to find whole pizza was BURNT!!! Then whole pizza was sausage and not 1/2 cheese. Called to talk to manager and sassy dishwasher wouldn't let me talk to manager. Funny story. If you get the wrong pizza deliver by Carbone's and call them on it. They will promise that you will get 'Something' in the mail. I've been waiting four months for this mystery item! I can't wait to see it. And don't try to use their web order. Buyer beware- extra service charges added after I submitted my order. Ordered a pizza for delivery last night online. I noticed there was a 4$ delivery charge added to my total at check out- which was fine by me, I wanted it delivered! When the delivery guy showed up I noticed an additional 3$ delivery charge added to my bill after I approved the charge. I couldn't refuse now, the pizza was at my door. When I called the employee told me that the amounts online are "different" than what you're actually charged, they added an additional 3 dollar delivery charge for the driver. This is bad business to add service charges without informing the customer. Plus 7$ to get my 28$ order delivered is nutty. Plus the manager wouldn't even talk to me about it when I requested the second delivery charge be refunded. I could hear him telling the employee what to tell me. Tonight we ordered a pan pizza, pizza fries, and 2 salads. The pizza and fries were reviews as "good" by our children. However, don't waste your money on their salads! I had the chef salad which was basically the kind of thing a road side diner would serve. It was 9.95 so I expected more than iceberg lettuce, a sprinkle of shredded cheese, 1 tablespoon of chopped tomato and 2 pieces of lunch meat. My husband's antipasto salad was a little more substantial but still not worth $10. Cub's prepackaged Deli salads at $5.99 are at least twice the meal of these salads. read more

We were out house hunting today and found ourselves near this Carbone's location and decided to stop in for a cheap, easy dinner. We both ordered the calzone, which they call a "pizza sandwich" and while it wasn't the best calzone I've ever had, it wasn't bad. Crust--Excellent. Carbone's does crust right. Cheese--Whooo-boy! These puppies pack a super cheesy punch! Yum, yum, yum. Sauce--Just OK. I wasn't too fired up about it but thought it was decent. Ingredients--Good, but I wish there were more of them inside each sandwich because it seemed a little weak. Size--Very generous, I could barely finish one-half of mine. Service--Excellent! Our server was very efficient and friendly. Drink refills showed up at the table before the first one was even empty. And bonus for the happy hour from 2-6 p.m. with $1.25 tap beer and cheap appetizers. Next time I go to Carbone's I'll definitely get the pizza and will probably update my rating (it's been eons but if memory serves correctly it was fantasmic). This is the worst pizza place I have ever been in! Extremenly over priced. Service was really bad that night. There were only 3 other tables filled in the place and it STILL took us 10mins just to get our drinks. And it took over an hour to get our food, which consisted of ONE pizza and cheezy bread with only a tiny sprinkling of cheese on top. I reccomend this place only after you go drink a bottle of booze from liquor time next door. I've eaten from Carbones. For some reason they flagged my account to not allow cards. I never had an issue before, and the employee said there was no reason listed for it. When I tried to use another cars she said the manager wouldn't allow it. I took my business to another place immediately and had no issues. I will not be going back to Carbones again due to such poor customer service. read more

Carbone's is known for some of the best pizza in Stillwater. You have to try the Pizza Sandwich which is really good. They have a great happy hour and cheap tap beers. I always get the assorted hot hoagie sub which is delicious. I would recommend Carbone's. read more

The food is fantastic. Order take out if you are doing dinner. We stopped in on a Friday night and there was a large group of adults sitting with two tables put together and several children (their children) sitting at two separate booths at opposite ends of the restaraunt. These kids were running around, yelling, playing, and raising hell with absolutely no interference from their parents. We brought our displeasure to our server who replied "that happens a lot here". We absolutely will not dine in that restaraunt again. read more

I have been a fan of Carbones,locust street, Hudson location since i was a kid, I thought let's check out Stillwater's spot. We shared the cheese bread with red sauce and white sauce for dipping. The white sauce was ummmmm not so good - it was Bertoli's from a jar ....disgusting! However, the red sauce was delicious. The pizza was a bit under-cooked, but tasty. read more

Oh boy!! Not sure where to start. I was compelled to write a review after my experience at this place. If i could get a list of the worst restaurants i've ever been based on the food served. I would put this place on the top. We ordered two orders of 8 chicken wings each plus some drinks. So all together 16 wings. Each order was $9 so combined total of wings was around $18. The wings had skin still attached to them and it looked like the skin was not even cooked properly. We couldn't eat the wings because they were grossing us out so we starting eating celery sticks. But alas there weren't enough celery sticks. The wings left a really bad taste in my mouth. I had to buy a muffin to overcome the bad taste in my mouth. We smoked $25 on two orders of wings and a drink and felt like throwing up later. I've paid half that amount at other places like Green Mills or Buffalo Wild Wings and left with a great experience. Ordered a pizza at 7pm. It arrived at 945pm. Got the run around from the staff who were also rude on the phone. Asked for a refund - "I can ask but we don't really do that". Spoke to the manager.
