I really wanted to give this place a 5 but I just couldn't. When I walked into this place I felt like I was revisiting my teen years in the late 80s/early 90s. It was clean and well maintained, with some fun newer art on the wall, but also felt dated - in a good way. We were greeted with a smile and were able to be seated right away. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the manicotti combo (one meat, one cheese) and added cheese to my garlic bread. The garlic bread was not what I was hoping for. The bread was nice, but it was kind of like dry, toasted bread. It didn't seem garlicky and I couldn't detect butter under the cheese. I dipped the bread in the sauce of my entree and that made it pretty good, but I really could have used more sauce. As for the manicotti - the presentation was very appetizing and the meat sauce was very tasty. I can not recommend the meat stuffed version though. It was dry and dense and I did not enjoy it. The cheese stuffed manicotti was really good though! I would definitely go back if I'm in the neighborhood. Would reorder cheese manicotti or try something new. I have eaten at Mansetti's many times Friday 9/11/2020 was the first time I've ever gotten take out. They currently are not doing any seating inside the restaurant to eat so everything is take away. Overall the process was good. They only have part of their menu online so I was missing some of my favorites but overall they have all the main things. We got the rigatoni and alfredo tortellini, both were very good as usual. They have floor markings and signs reminding you to social distance (although the layout of this restaurant would make this very tricky if there was actually someone else in there getting their order, it is only a narrow hall entrance). They were all wearing masks and were polite when I was picking up my order. Overall, I feel like they did a good job adapting to COVID and I will order again. read more

Not quite a fan yet. I wanted to be and had hopes for my first time, but for our first experience it was a little disappointing. I bought a coupon from a very nice outgoing guy selling them in my neighborhood and decided to use one. Ended up ordering the Large Carnivore and using the $10.00 off coupon. The delivery took about an hour. I understand things can take a little bit longer so wasn't a deal breaker, but was quoted 35-40 min. The pizza itself was okay. The deep dish crust was pretty burnt, there was a lot of meat on the top, but the sausage had a bland taste to it. The deep dish was more of a pan pizza. Not your typical deep dish, but it was fine for me. I'm not a fan of deep dish anyway. Will end up trying more because I bought the coupon book, but for my first time I was a little let down. read more

We've been here a few times for done in but I've never done a review before. This time we did order and pick up, due to the covid-19 pandemic, no dining in. You can order online or call ahead. Right now they aren't taking cash, not sure if it's due to the current situation. We called in and they took credit cards over the phone which is great, less person contact! We got the zetti bread, almost like a calzone but stuffed just with cheese and pepperoni and marinara sauce for dipping. It was garlicky and delicious. We also ordered the medium pizza, sausage and green olive, half onion and half banana pepper. Everything was great. Just had it for the first time the other night - it was delicious. My husband and I got two large original thin crust pizzas - one with pepperoni and banana peppers, another with Canadian bacon and pineapple. Both were great - really fresh tasting with a healthy helping of all toppings. We ordered for take-out, so I do not have anything to say about the staff really. Mansetti's is one of those outer 'burb pizza chains, with a few locations around the Twin Cities. A large specialty pizza will run you about 20 bucks, a little less if you customize your own using fewer toppings. The pizzas are thin crust and cut into squares. Admittedly the crust is nothing special - pretty bland and gets soggy easily, but that's not why you order Mansetti's. Mansetti's loads their pizzas with toppings (I usually order the House Special). Needless to say the crust cannot support all those toppings, which usually results in the top cheesy layer sliding off the crust. I recommend folding your pizza square in half to eat, or use a fork. Messy, but hits the spot. It is the most amazing pizza in the metro? No, but Mansetti's makes a decent pie, especially if you're into cheesy, top-heavy thin crust pizzas. read more

The pizza, pastas and calzones are very good. Have ordered cheese bread for parties and been pleased. The only negative I have is the on-line ordering. No cash option. You have to pay with a credit card or you cannot order on line. Then to compound the disappointment - they offer a discount for using the credit card but charge the full price to cash customers. Strange. I like to pay cash. It's still good, but sometimes convenience of a cash option payment sends me to the competitors. read more

You can see that the Pasta dishes have all been assembled from sauces, pasta and meats that are simply assembled and microwaved in a pile which leaves the dishes typically cold in the middle. I did not experience their Pizza but after experiencing the pasta, meat sauce and very poor "Italian Sausage", I would not order anything with pasta again from this restaurant. read more

Went there for lunch with my wife and got the buffet. It was horrific. The offerings on the buffet were: "Nachos" - aka really cheap round corn chips plus a cheese sauce dispenser, like at a gas station. "Salad" - Anemic-looking iceberg lettuce and a handful of unimpressive toppings. "Garlic bread" - Boring white bread slathered in what was presumably butter and garlic, plus way too much of some herb that didn't belong (dill?). Seriously, how can you screw up garlic bread? "Pizza" - The crust is basically a tortilla--super thin, crunchy, and tasteless. the sauce and toppings were acceptable, I guess, but definitely the worst pizza I've had in a while. I would like to say that there was something good about the experience. I suppose the waitress refilled our sodas diligently, so that was nice. On the other hand the place was hot as Hades (no A/C or just not turned on when it was 75 outside?). Also the total price was okay--$20ish for two buffets and sodas. But you can get pizza that is waaaay better for a quarter of that price just down the street, so no reason to come back here again! read more

I say visit them during their buffet for getting better ideas on dishes that fit your taste.
