They said they thought the hose they just replaced may have leaked......we told them we were leaving for a road trip the next day, and the owners son said if anything at all happens let us know right away....the next day left for a trip to Montana from WA, the power steering unit went out because there was so much fluid still leaking out of it...and because the alternator was right underneith, it had to be replaced because the leaking fluid made it burn up. Called them, the owners son answered, couldn't believe what had happened and said his father would call us back, he was so sorry. I NEVER got called back from these guys...DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIR.

Had oil change and asked to inspect. No charge for inspection. With so many raising prices stating inflation or tariffs my costs were a mere 8 bucks more than same month last year. I happen to own a unique Subaru Legacy. I love independent repair shops where the owner is there every day at the front desk or in the shop. Josh usually answers the phone and knows Subarus well. When I go to any of the factory authorized dealers the service managers don't know Subarus, don't own Subarus, don't touch a Subaru with a wrench themselves. When you go to a specialty shop that is all they do from the front desk backward, talk and think Subaru. Factory authorized dealers hide their service departments. Specialty shops don't and you're always able to have something pointed out in the shop while the car is on a lift. Dealership service managers take a percentage of the repairs they can scare you into for too high a price. Roopair repairs for way less using factory authorized parts or better if you like. Josh has a hard job, harder than a factory authorized dealer. After 17 years he knows he must be honest with customers and helpful to build a long-term relationship. I admire Josh he is direct and honest in a most polite fashion. His sense of humor and honesty is actually delightful and colorful. His customers appreciate his consistency and management. I appreciate the quality of workmanship and dedication. I don't mind driving an hour for specialty service. My Outback had been making a weird clunking noise when I turned to the right. I took it to a…read more general mechanic shop in UP who kept it overnight and they said they weren't sure what the noise but suggest I replace my 1 yr old rear brakes for $1200. When that didn't work I drove around determined not to go back and just find another shop to rip me off. Months and months later I finally decided to only see someone who specialized in Subarus and called Roorepair. I didn't even totally describe my problem when they said "Sounds like an axel." And they were right, they fixed it. The price was fair compared to others and they got me schedule & then out quickly. I had a good enough experience that when I was about to 200k miles and needed a tune up, I called them. I was quoted at $1400 and they offered a free loaner car since I'd be dropping it off overnight. Which was a huge weight off my mind of arranging for rides and/or uber. They were honest with me about recharging my AC (they weren't able to for that year) and said my car was in good shape and didn't need extra work, didn't try to upsell me in anyway. They're a good shop.

I brought a car to Simmons today for an inspection before my daughter purchased it. The technician…read moreassured me they would include photos of the undercarriage, as I wasn't allowed in the shop. After a quick 15-minute inspection, they claimed the water pump needed replacement--even though the car has only 39K miles. They said it had leaked previously but wasn't leaking now. $500 to replace. They also recommended replacing the cabin filter for $112, even though it's a $10 part that takes about a minute to change with no tools. The oil change was priced at $91 for just four quarts of oil and a filter. When I received the inspection report, the promised undercarriage photos were missing. The technician claimed they "wouldn't post" and had been deleted--yet other photos were included. This wasn't a true pre-purchase safety inspection but rather an exaggerated upsell on repairs. I usually don't post reviews, but this experience needed to be shared.

As of 4.15.24 I give a zero star or negative if I could. My husband got his car "fixed" here two…read moreweeks ago. For his car. Overheating he paid $5k two weeks later his car is over heating again and on top of that all the oil leaked out of his engine. He's never had an issue with oil leaking this is crazy. We've been cheated before and this has the makings of being cheated out of thousands again. I'm truly disappointed we thought this shop was going to be the exception. Unfortunately it is not. I'm still hoping they will make it right but we will see. As of 4/22/24 update. I received communication from I believe the owner they arranged to have my husband's vehicle picked up within 45 minutes within 24 business hours they fix the problem. It fell under their guarantee so we did not have to pay for any of the repairs so far so good we just received the vehicle today, I am very impressed with how they handled and the situation and how quickly they handled it
