I was going to go to this shop to sell some cards I had. But, just the service over the phone made me think twice and go elsewhere. I also heeded the reviews and thought that yeah I would get only 30% of cost and I wasn't sure I would sell for that. But, I tried to ask the employee over the phone about card prices, what I could expect, how they do their pricing, etc. He kept saying the people up front would know. I said, okay, great, can you ask them or transfer me?? But nope, he just kept insisting I come in. But I don't feel like wasting my time if no one will be able to help me or even give me an idea over the phone but he was just completely not bothered by my plight. He wasn't helpful and he didn't seem like he cares if I came to sell or buy or whatever at all. So, if they don't care for my business then I gladly took it elsewhere. Found a great card shop the same distance from me and will go there in the future. Skip this store for sure. read more

This is the most disgusting store I've ever walked into. When I initially looked through their doors, I thought the store was abandoned. When I walked in no one bothered to help me, and there was little to no space to walk since they had boxes of cards everywhere. The associates for some reason stare at their customers like they don't want them in the store and have no intent to help customers out. The bathroom looked like an ebola incubation room. Rush, I give you 4 stars, simply for these facts alone: 1. It's a clean, spacious, and most importantly, friendly environment. 2. Free Tournaments. FREE. Sure you don't get an Astral pack, or some other incentive, but you are guaranteed a CHANCE to win a prize. Just last summer, Card Rush gave away thee best prizes for free tournies that I have seen in a long time. Ipads, 360's, PS3's, booster boxes. 3. Great staff, some of them aren't that knowledgeable about cards, but I don't mind. We all have to learn. Now, in reality, I really should only give you 3 stars, because you have pretty bad and obvious flaws. 1. No trading? I heard about this and immediately was disgusted. I get the tactic, make it so tournies are free, people come to play, but they can't trade, so they have to trade or buy from the store. Not to mention you make money off of selling concessions, sleeves/mats, etc. it really is a good idea. But honestly, at the same time, this is a trading card game. Trading. Card. Game. You're taking a core part of the game out here, not to mention you're forcing your patrons to go trade on the streets. Which is what they'll do if they really need certain cards for cheaper than your own listing price. 2. Overpriced cards. I'm not going to go into depth here, people have already explicitly stated their say on this. I'm not sure if you price your cards a couple dollars higher to make up for tourney entries or some other reason, but your average duelist, not customer, wouldn't even look twice at some of these prices. All in all, I still stick you with a 4star since I attended a bunch of summer tournies and had fun at every single one, for free. read more

The reason why I give it this score is because they give expensive prices on their cards. They don't go off of TCG player they go off their own prices which is pretty stupid. I wanted to sell a Pokémon card that was 60$ at the time because it was NEAR MINT. I was looking for singles in my yugioh deck and asking for some cards and they talk to you in a way where it seems they don't want to be serving you. Years back, maybe 2014, I come to card rush with my friend almost everyday. There was yugioh tournaments, lots of players, & a sense of community. However that has been crashing down since then and the store is essentially a claustrophobic mess of a warehouse. I made friends there, one of them still friends even to this day, but people left and the store was filled to the brim with untouched boxes full of cards which leaves barely enough space to walk through just to reach the counter. The workers/managers at the counter were always rude and arrogant to their customers, including children. I knew the place was a scam but it was the only place to find a local yugioh community in a reasonable walking distance. I left and never returned again as a repeating customer since 2017, I check the store once in awhile not to get cards but just to see how the store itself is doing. I read the reviews on yelp and I whole heartedly agree and can verify most of the issues people have with card rush. Anyways Ima cut things off here cus I have much to say, overall I just want this place to succeed cus I want a thriving community or a sense of one again locally. read more

Walked in and the store was full of open boxes, many of which were full of opened Pokémon cards. There were no signs to say these were not ok to look through. One employee came over and told me I was not allowed to look through these and if I wanted to purchase singles, he would go to the back and "quote a price". It baffles me that there were thousands of cards just laying out that customers aren't allowed to look at, but the ones customers can purchase are kept in the back. Came here to check out their Pokemon card section since my son is into collecting them and they do have a huge selection of different packs and booster boxes but some of the common ones are a bit overpriced. Went to check this place out. Guy behind the counter knew almost nothing about the cards and kept having to run to the back to price stuff. Everything was also extremely overpriced, at least $10 over the average. Asked about a pack of Unhinged for fun and got quoted $30 a pack. You can go anywhere else and get them for like $15. Even starcity, who is generally on the higher end of prices was $12. I'd be surprised if they stay in business with those prices. read more

I usually spend a lot of money on Yu-Gi-Oh! cards here and they always provide a little something extra with the purchase! They usually have all of the cards I need at market price (sometimes even cheaper, sometimes more expensive) and I always end up buying them. I'm not sure about anyone else's reviews, but this place falls nothin short of spectacular. From plush toys to Yugioh to Magic to Arcade games, this place is the emporium of it all. First of all, it's not too hard to find due to it's huge sign with the name of the store on it. The store might not be in a popular area but once you get inside, the place is massive. So many things fill the walls and glass displays. They have almost all the structure decks in the game of Yugioh, and their singles collection is amazing. And even if you don't stop by for any cards, their accessories selection is crazy good as well. That's mainly due to the fact they have their own online store. Now, on to the service. You will be greeted upon your arrival (unless they are in the back shipping and packing their online orders) The best thing to do is prepare a list beforehand and give it to them, and they will calculate their prices for each card and give you a total. This is by far the fastest way to shop here. The customer service is fairly good and they are nice and helpful. Now regarding the prices, they are decent and pretty much are the prices you find online. Although i visited on a weekday, i saw that they have tournaments on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. According to other reviews these tourneys have good showings. This place is awesome and i totally recommend it to anyone who is in need of anything TCG related. read more

I like this place, but there are some things they could do better. The store is a mess with stacks of boxes everywhere. There are some tables inside, but most of the time they are being used by employees to sort cards from the stacks of boxes around the store. If the store was more organized and there were more tables, I'm sure there would be more customers and small tournaments could be hosted. The employees could also be a little bit more friendly. Very cool store and very nostalgic for a old school yugioh player as myself with the amount of collections they have for yugioh. Decided to come check out the store yesterday. If you want to find old stuff from the first two generations of yugioh then go here, be warned though that these guys have ridiculous prices compared to other card stores. I decided to drive 30 miles from my home to check out the store after finding them off of eBay and buying a boaster box from them. However this isn't about their online store. What really got me was certain products that they had on their eBay store we're being sold for almost $60 more in store.. Now I understand that they probably make most of their income from their eBay buyers but I think of the amount of people that have probably been ripped off from buying from the store. But don't let this review stop you from checking it out. If you have a couple hundred dollars to blow go check this place out and support them.. just make sure to check their eBay store first and compare the online prices to their Instore prices.. the difference will shock you. And one last note : Yes I did buy a special edition yugioh box from the store when I went yesterday. Not trying to put down the store in anyway, just find the pricing to be a little stingy. read more

I am a player that just got into magic the gathering again. I have had two very different experiences when it come to deck building. Card Rush made sure that I would never visit them again. They overpriced on all their singles. I walked in prepared to spend over $60 on singles since Battle City Games was closed at the time. Big mistake. First of all none of the single cards show a price. You have to ask them and they make up a number. I know what the average market price is because we all have access to tcgplayer.com. They try to rip you off every single dollar they can. Battle city games have their single cards prices listed on the cards and they are generally in line or even less than the average price. I ask about the xenagos the reveler they wanted $20. Average price $16. Xenagos god of revel they wanted $7 average price $4. I just walked out after asking for those two prices. I will just wait for Battle City Games to open next time. They have way better prices and I enjoy spend money at battle city games. read more

Place is a decorative with a wide selection of products. The pricing, on the other hand, is a nightmare. Every time I come in to make a purchase, particularly singles, the owners try to cheat you for every penny possible. They will always assume you have zero knowledge on the matter. If you do have solid knowledge, the owners would instruct the hourly employees to scam you in their place so that they won't be confronted. When pricing cards, they scour the internet for sites that would hold the highest price and label that as the actual value of the card, despite what tcgplayer or any other more reputable sites say otherwise. They have strayed far far far from their original mission during their early days as a small card shop. Former employees have told me that they do do some kind of booster box mapping to optimize profits per box. You are less likely to pull anything of worth from their packs. Purchase with great caution. When you try to sell, they will only glance at the cards and when they see something of worth, down play it and say it's worth nothing to trick you into selling it to them for 10-20 bucks. I brought in several hundred dollar singles to test this and each time, particularly the big bald guy, will say it's worth nothing to get you to sell all of it for 10-15 bucks store credit. Kids should be very careful when selling their collections here. Parents beware!!! Wal Mart treats customers far better. read more

Came here today to pick up some Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for my new deck. The employees here are really nice, friendly, and patient. The cards here are a bit more expensive than the ones online but not by much; maybe 50 cents or a dollar more. However, you are guaranteed to get legit mint condition cards. I have ordered Yu-Gi-Oh cards online before, and they came in good-ok condition with a few scratches or so on the face of the card, not mint. Some cards were even damaged (bent corner etc.), but I am too lazy to go through the returning process and stuff. They also have free tournaments on Thursday-Saturday! So I came to this place to sell my Pokemon and you-gi-oh cards. First of all I walked in and around the entire store not a single worker anywhere in sight so I stood there for a few minutes giving them the benefit of the doubt maybe they were just in the back really quick even though there was only one other kid in the store but to my dismay no one showed up. Upon further examination their were two employees just sitting in the back on there phones or whatnot. Finally got one guys attention and started showing him my cards. It was clear this guy had no idea what he was looking at because he would look at a couple then go to his computer he did that a few times. I told him which ones were the actual rates ones such as my LOB blue eyes white dragon and a few others. All together I probably have over 1000 cards combined between the two different card games including 200+ holos and many other rare cards and tons of common ones. So after this idiot looks at my cards for a few seconds he offers me 35 dollars!!! Needless to say I just picked my stuff up and walked out. This guy did not count the amount of cards didn't even fully look through my binder of Pokemon cards and maybe looked at half of my holo you-gi-oh cards before he had made his "assessment". He pretty much spat in my face with his bull crap offer. Besides the employees blatant lack of respect for me the shop has no prices on individual cards and they are literally just scattered throughout the display cases in no order whatsoever. Their "card tables" are literally the crappy Walmart folding tables that looks like they were pulled behind a truck for a while. It looks like a crappy cafeteria dining area inside. Please if you do not want to waste your time and money stay away from this shit hole of a place! Read the other reviews one guy has said they offer 30% I wouldnt even say that they literally just make up some low ball number on cards to buy because alone blue eyes white dragon is 80 bucks. So if you want to save money hit me up ill sell you my cards myself message me on this app if I have the card I will beat these guys price!!!
