I wouldn't recommend purchasing a car here. My wife and I went in on July 30th to purchase a Tuscon. We were in a rush so we ended up paying $22,500 in cash for a down-payment and were told that the salesperson, Marcela, would bring the car to our house with the contract to sign. We appreciated the offer and were happy to take them up on it. We were told that Marcela would be at our house around 9pm. However, 11pm rolled around and still no car or paperwork. They took our $22,500 and never stuck to what they promised. Dissapointed and frustrated my wife and I told Marcela that we would be back in the following morning to complete the process. The next morning we go in and the she is apologetic about not delivering the car the night before. She ended up helping other customers before finalizing our deal. This is terrible summer service. The Desk Manager came out to apologize and promised that he would mail a gift card to us for the inconvenience. We still have not received the gift card 18 days later. Our experience was poor and we are very disappointed. On top of this we ended up having to pay for all the ridiculous markups. I have purchased my car from this dealership and had been having the car serviced here for the past 6 years. I had been satisfied with their service up until yesterday. My husband and I received an email from bumpaDoherty1926@gmail.com thanking us for making an appointment for service today. First of all, neither one of us made this appointment. I called the service to complain about this, but the extension just rings after 4 attempts. I called again to ask to speak with the Service Manager. I left him a voicemail yesterday explaining that someone from his company had set up an appointment for us without our knowledge or consent. Bought my 2017 Hyundai Elantra from this Dealership and let me tell you after purchasing from Hyundai Cerritos dealership and after loving my experience there, I was mortified by this dealership! They are DISHONEST! Long story short, they were so dishonest about things, cooperate office had to be contacted and cooperate was not happy! For one they lied when they told me they were financing my car through them only. Within a week after buying my car, I was receiving letter after letter from loan companies. Thought you guys said you weren't going to try to finance anywhere else but with you guys? Hmm. Story doesn't add up. Not to mention within a day of my purchase, one of my LED front lights was found not to be working. Mind you, my car was "freshly shipped in" because the original black car they tried to sale me was all scratched up, so they reached out to get me a new one that had just shipped in. When I brought the car in to get the light fixed how funny I found that it was not covered because "it looks like someone cut the line or rodents got to it" well hmmm if it shipped in from overseas is it not possible that a rodent could have gotten to it! $400 gone. There were so many lies told and they were caught in these lies but I'll spare you the long story. Their dishonesty and shady tactics are true to the stereotypically car salesmen. Also, when I came to look at a car I literally had two salesmen who didn't want to help and kept trying to pass it off to the other until finally a third salesman said he'd show me the car. Don't waste your time coming here! Head to the Cerritos Hyundai where you'll be treated with respect & honesty! I got free roses and tinting when I purchased my car there plus no hassle! Literally called ahead, agreed over a price over the phone and when I arrived the car was ready with the same price agreed upon. No one tried to up-sell me! The service department at this dealership leaves much to be desired. I ordered a spare key for my Sonata back in September. I called a few times over the last two months to check to see when it might be in so that it could be cut and programmed to my car. Two of my calls were disconnected, two calls were answered and I was put on hold for so long that I hung up. When I finally got through to someone, they said one piece was there and they were waiting for the other and they'd call me in a day or two. I never got that call. Fast forward to last week when we took the car in to be serviced: we left the car on Monday November 22. The parts department finally had the key and handed it off to me without it having been cut. So since we were leaving the car with the original key we asked them to have the key cut and programmed since they would have the car until we were back in town from a Thanksgiving trip. We received no call that the car was complete while we were gone so we drove there early this morning to check the status. The car wasn't finished and the work that was done turned out to be pretty minor. So we waited for a call to let us know the car was finished. I just went to pick the car up and I had to ask for the spare because it wasn't with the other key. While I'm waiting for the parts guy to bring the spare key up to the cashier, Victor from service walks over and tells me the type of key we bought needs to be programmed and I can bring it back to have that done. So bottom line is we told them to cut and program the key, they had the car for a week, the key wasn't programmed and no one there thought to call and ask or double check or suggest the key be programmed while they had it. When I mentioned this to Victor I got no explanation or apology. They let me walk out their door completely dissatisfied with their service and made no attempt to fix the problem. I left the dealership with a key that is completely worthless until programmed. When they had the car an entire week. I will never be back to this dealership to buy a car or have my Hyundai serviced. EDITED TO ADD: I just got home and pulled the new spare key out of the box and the key wasn't even installed into the key fob. Unbelievable! I will say that Alex in their parts department is very warm and friendly, but that won't be enough for me to go back. So I take my 6 year old my car over to Hyundai Cardinale Way in Corona and they want to charge me because the driver side backseat warmer is malfunctioning and coming on when I'm driving burning my back. I also informed them that the seatbelt light stays on and the airbag light blinks randomly. I will say this: they do good work when you have to take your car in, BUT here is what they will not tell you that I have seen at least 7-10 times personally - they allow their staff to drive around to pick up lunch locally like at McDonald's for example and they AREN'T light on the pedal either I saw a huge guy driving a new Santa Fe super hard so if you absolutely need to buy a car from them make sure you MAKE them give you a car from their lot around the corner that you probably don't know is there. First off I'd like to state I'm a 27 year old gay man with anxiety that can really impact my life at times. I profusely sweat from anxiety, it's the most embarrassing feeling ever and it adds to my anxiety 100x more. I was nervous and didn't want to do this but I did as a goal of mine, plus I wanted a new car haha. I called in and god was on my side that day cause Bryanna answered the phone! We set a scheduled meeting for Friday and it was Monday when I set this appointment. I then changed the meeting to the next day and Bryanna was very flexible. On top of that I came in earlier and she was on the phone, she not only changed her schedule but also moved our meeting earlier. That was so nice of her and I'm respectful of peoples time, I didn't expect her to cancel her plans for me and to take care of me that very moment! She walked through the car with me, gave me the whole run down! It's like I knew the car off the back of my hand from her thorough explanations. Not missing one detail or spec of the car, even showed me some hidden features that I would've never known about! Was I sweating? Yes slightly like a normal human being cause it was hot outside not because I had anxiety attack. She made me so comfortable! She was literally standing outside the car explaining it to me and let me sit in the car with the vented seats and ac. She is dedicated and knew I was warm and let me cool off without making it a big deal or making me feel embarrassed. The test drive was soooo fun! It was like driving with my besties! I got to know her she's so funny and intellectual and interesting; her conversation with me took my mind of any anxiety I could've had. She was literally a walking xanax for me, I felt safe with her. She is definitely someone you'd want in your blunt rotation! I know she'd be the dopest one out of the group haha. I also want to state that she is lgbtq friendly, it is definitely a safe environment and friendly and welcoming to my community. Now I cant speak for other sales people cause I've only had an honest interaction with her, but if you are lgbtqia+ know that you are safe at CardinaleWay but also know that you are accepted by Bryanna, and it wasn't some mask she put on she has gay besties too and it clearly shows! She hooked me up with a great price on their Emerald 2024 New Hyundai Calligraphy with AWD, she gave me a discount on the roof bars and threw in so much free shit. I thought I was just getting a hat? Gworl when I tell you when I got home and went to look all over my car again I saw all the free shit in my trunk that would've cost someone 300+! I know this cause I've built this car on Hyundai website like 5x and saw their accessories, those things ain't cheap and she gave me 3 free gifts. She also gave me another discount, I don't want to say on what but it definitely helped with my pockets! I also want to say that she asked me multiple times if I'm sure I want to make the purchase before I did. Then even offered to show me cheaper cars and really show me other ones that wasn't the most expensive car they had. Not because I couldn't get approved for the car I got (I didn't need a co signer) but because she really wanted to show me other options that were also luxury but not over 50k like what I bought. I thought that was so sweet and it just shows that she isn't here to get extra coin, she cared about me and my experience and my future with my car. But I said nope Bryanna I'm getting that expensive ass car no need to show me other ones, I didn't budge one bit! And she respected that and I walked out with a new beautiful car! So overall if u don't want a hungry sale person manipulating you and exploiting your invisible disabilities and you are lgbtqia+, know that you are not only safe with her but that genuine connection with her and she also will help answer questions through text after hours and still take care of you on her own time? Took my car in for a repair. I was unable to pick up my car personally so Kimberlina, the service manager, sent a credit card authorization form so my husband could go in with my card, pay for the repairs and pickup my vehicle. Upon looking at my credit card statement I realized they charged me an additional $204. Only after calling them to dispute this was I told that they charge a surcharge for using a credit card. Their service manager explained to me that nothing could be done to reverse the charges because it was fees my credit card company was imposing (CC denies this). Funny thing is I used this same card May 2022 for a down payment on my Palisade and no surcharge was added. Had I been told beforehand I would have just paid the 6,798 in cash. It is dishonest to have me sign a credit card authorization form for one price and being charged a $204 convenience fee without ever discussing it with me. read more

I dropped off my 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT at the dealer because the catalytic converter went out two times in 150K miles. Ok I understand parts go out and I accept that. Diana was the service representative that greeted me and she was polite enough. I wait a day and I get zero information regarding my car so I call the dealer on Monday. She proceeds to tell me that the catalytic converter is on back order and she doesn't have a time period where it will be in. See its on backorder. She asks if I want my car back and I explain to her that it cant go on the freeway and driving it could cause more damage. NO LOANER CAR OFFERED NOT EVEN A HEY I KNOW THIS IS BAD BUT WE ARE SORRY. A few weeks pass by and no information so I call. This time a man answers the phone and tells me in somewhat of a joking but very unprofessional manner that it could be as long as 6 months before the part gets in. Who can wait 6 months without a car? I ask if I could get a loaner car and he says "well maybe if it was a warranty item." I have to say that Diana does not return phone calls at all at least not for me. I left a message two times and I have always had to call her to get in touch. Its now been a month without my car and last time I called Diana she told me that the car would be ready today. She showed the part arriving on 03/2/2021 and she stated that if it arrived in the morning the car would be fixed by the afternoon Wednesday at the latest. I called today on 03/02/2021 at about 1000 a.m. and Diana was off for the day. Spoke to the service rep who, has no clue about anything unless he wrote you up, and he told me that the part was still on backorder till the 19th of March. The lack of customer compassion or understanding for a large dealership is incomprehensible. How can you leave a customer without a simple loaner car for over a month? Never take out a loan with Hyundai finance. They will screw you. I got a $24,000 car financed for over $34,000. I was too young and stupid to notice because I was on my own. I've been paying my car off for over a year and I still owe $10,000 MORE than what the car is worth. It's the biggest most impactful stressor I have in my life right now. It causes me so much distress. They literally screwed me so bad, but it's my fault for not knowing better. To be clear, I make a $600 payment every single month, and I still owe over $30,000 after a year of paying it consistently. The lonely gave me also compounds daily. Harassing sales people. I inquired about a vehicle back in October 2020. What I found odd in the CARFAX of the car I was looking at, is that it didn't have an oil change for more than 30,000 miles! So I asked the salesman who called me within 5 mins of me inquiring about this vehicle and assured me that the vehicle was thoroughly checked by the dealership, and oil changes were done by the previous owner on a regular basis because he was part of a membership program with a Hyundai dealer where the oil changes were free... Okay... but I believe it should still appear on the CARFAX. To that he then changed his words and said the previous owner "probably went to Valvoline" where the oil changes are not reported on the CARFAX. I was already a bit thrown off by these affirmations. So I then called Valvoline and they assured me all of their oil changes would appear on a vehicle's CARFAX. So it turns out the salesman was lying to me and indeed, it seemed the car I inquired about hadn't had an oil change for 30,000 miles. This was enough for me to not do business with them. So I decided to not move forward and not test drive the car. Since then, I receive on a WEEKLY BASIS calls from this dealership asking me to come back and do business with them. Asking if "i am still in the market for a vehicle". The problem is, those calls are WEEKLY and every time I block one of their numbers, THEY CALL ME WITH A DIFFERENT ONE. That's absolute harassment. We are now FEBRUARY 2021 and they STILL call me. From an informal inquiry I made in OCTOBER 2020. This is INSANE. LEAVE. ME. ALONE. read more

We have a BRAND NEW Hyundai Santa Fe at 1000 miles. Last Saturday we walked out to a parking lot and found the rear upper lift-gate brake light hanging by a wire. We tried repeatedly to reset it in the frame with no success. Each time it fell out. Finally my husband gave it a solid whak and it held long enough for us to drive to Cardinale way Hyundai. It was still wobbly in the frame. I don't know if they believed us or not but they took the car and gave us a free rental (loaner). (FYI: SMELLED of cigarettes) So from 3 pm Saturday to about 3pm on Monday they were unable to figure out how to fix it. Monday afternoon all they could say is that they don't have a tech who knows about this problem! "The car is too new and they don't have manuals". Their suggestion was for us to leave it another day. My suggestion is to do the research and call us to bring it in when you figure it out. It is now taped on with packing tape! So this review is mostly about Corporate Hyundai's quality control and partly about the people at Cardinale who didn't feel the issue with our car was worth their effort. read more

I purchased my Elantra at this dealership and have had it serviced at this same dealership for oil changes, preventative maintenance and so on. For oil changes, it's a typical experience but if you need any repairs, I do NOT recommend this service department. Twice, I know, I went back again after the first bad experience because I believed that having a car serviced from the same dealership and all of the maintenance on one record really matters (at any cost) but this is not how I will proceed in the future. Cardinale took 6 days to diagnose the coolant leak. The price of labor for two hoses and a thermostat replaced more than $700 and they kept my vehicle for 7 days. They did not provide updates, instead, we phoned them regularly for the status (being told, the person is not available, away from their desk, at lunch). What I was originally quoted $233 for the cost of replacing a cracked hose became $900 when they discovered on day 5 with my vehicle that it a good idea to replace another hose and now I have a thermostat problem. I have learned an expensive lesson and am hoping to save you all some trouble and time. Find somewhere else to take your Elantra. read more

I normally love my experiences at CardinaleWay Hyundai. The employees are typically very helpful and the service is great. This is my first time here since the pandemic and shelter in place orders so my hope is this is a one off. But I don't think it is based on employee behavior. While I waited for my car I watched more than 10 employees exit what I assume was a meeting and most of them were not wearing a mask. Those same employees walked around the dealership, sat at their desks, and helped customers without their masks on. Every employee had a mask on their person but a large portion wore them hanging off one ear or on their wrist. I was really disappointed by the lack of compliance with facial covering orders. There were employees who wore their masks appropriately but their efforts were undermined by those employees blatantly not following face covering guidelines, especially indoors. UODATE: service center employees wore facial coverings appropriately. The employees not following the guidelines were on the sales side. read more

Called again today to ask a service related question (if a recall part was now in stock) and I was kept on hold for over 20 minutes with no response aside from the original receptionist answering the phone and putting me on hold. Someone would come on the line and immediately put me back on hold without saying anything. Apparently this shows a shorter wait time on their end but my phone time continued. This is so frustrating! I would rather be sent to an unmonitored voicemail than to waste my time holding for infinity. I eventually hung up - I'm sure this was the intended outcome - but it looks bad on the business. Someone needs to check the receptionist to see if this is a common occurrence and correct it right away if it is how they handle calls. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened to me and based on other posted reviews, they appear to provide subpar service all around. Once again I've taken my business elsewhere but I did want to make someone aware of my experience, and no longer desire to give them any more chances to frustrate me. read more

Tried selling my car here a couple months ago because they said they would give me X amount and I just needed to go in and get it evaluated and fill out the paperwork. They did the evaluation and confirmed the amount they told me. I said let's do it. I was there for 4 hours and filled out paperwork and even test drove a car for shits and giggles because they kept pushing me to do it. Waited and did all that just for them to tell me they couldn't give me what they originally told me and what we had agreed on and dropped what they were offering me by a couple g's. Ridiculous. Walked right out. Definitely go here if you want your time WASTED. read more

This is the worst automobile dealer between San Diego and Los Angeles!!!! Don't be fooled by their sales department!! Lavelle is a fake!! He was our sales representative and he is not who he projects. He spent most of his time with us telling horrible stories of infidelity which had nothing to do with our car buying experience. We paid cash for the vehicle as we are private business owners. Since then we have had issues with the interior of the vehicle and asked for service. Only to be met by rude individuals in the service department to get it resolved. I scheduled three appointments, parts waiting of course and all three times the part was not available. I did speak to Lavelle but he offered no support or a solution. We were ready to buy another vehicle for our business but have decided not to. We don't trust them! We never received a call for our grievance. It's bad business on their part and we want nothing to do with them in our future. read more
