I purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra, and within days of ownership multiple issues showed up that clearly should have been caught during a proper inspection. Two TPMS sensors weren't reading, the truck had a steering knock during acceleration, I got a "Steering Assist Reduced" safety warning, and there was a front-end squeak when turning at a stop. The dealership did pay for the TPMS sensors, but they sent me to another garage across the street and I ended up waiting over an hour just to get something fixed that should have never been missed in the first place. The biggest concern was how quickly they dismissed the blurry, washed-out backup camera, which is a federally required safety feature on 2018 vehicles. Even though visibility is clearly reduced, they insisted it was "fine" or "not covered." Their explanations didn't match the Massachusetts Used Vehicle Warranty Law, which covers any safety-related defect found within 30 days. It felt like they were trying to avoid responsibility instead of helping a customer who had just bought a truck from them. On top of the mechanical issues, the lack of transparency around fees was extremely disappointing -- a $400+ doc fee, a $700+ paint protection fee, and even a surprise $15 credit card fee for leaving a deposit, none of which were explained upfront. And after paying all that, they delivered the truck with barely a quarter tank of gas. Between the missed safety issues, the dismissive approach to warranty obligations, and the undisclosed fees, I would not recommend buying a vehicle here. If you do, get every fee in writing beforehand and document every issue immediately, because you may find yourself fighting for repairs that should have been handled.

Unfortunately, the owner of Matrix auto seems to think that he can just use customers vehicles for his own personal errands. I dropped of my car to Matrix, and trusted that my car would be taken care of. BIG MISTAKE! I called on Friday, to see if my car was ready, and I was told by the very helpful Gabe, that the owner was out test driving my car, and should be back in about ten minutes. That was good news, so I waited a bit and then started walking down Main St to pick up my car, from Matrix. Much to my surprise, as I was walking I spotted my car (windows wide open) sitting in the Walgreens parking lot, unattended. So, I stood there, and waited to see where the driver of MY car was. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, I decided to go into Walgreens looking for the driver. I found the owner of Matrix , Arthur Manzira standing at the pharmacy, picking up a prescription. I confronted Aurthur, only to be given multiple excuses as to why it is okay for him to have done this. There is also video of the owner Arthur Manzira, admitting that he "made a mistake" but also tries to give me utterly ridiculous excuses. It will be posted on all of the other social media sites, as Yelp does not allow the video. (ask me for the link(s)) So, in my opinion, if you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, steer clear of Matrix. If the owner is treating customers' vehicles like this, imagine what else is going on. I guess that's why the flyer says that they offer "Loaner Cars" but actually DO NOT because of "insurance issues." It has been one thing after another. It has been leaking antifreeze and getting worse. Took it to the garage today and was told it's the water pump and it's inside the motor. The part alone is $900something dollars and about 12 hours of labor. Call the dealership and they want to know if I bought any kind of warranty. I tell them I don't know because the finance guy put a stack of papers on the showroom desk in front of me and said sign all of these. NOTHING was explained to me as to what I was signing. Guy I spoke to named Matt is who I talked to on my third call to them after the other 2 people never called me back. He says there is nothing they can do to help me. I have not even made a payment yet on this vehicle. On a fixed income, I don't have the almost $2000 to fix it plus make the payment on it. I have already spoken to an attorney about this.

Because as far as first impressions go, their customer service appears to be quite stellar. In this instance, I acquired a rental via my insurance company after experiencing my first ever collision due to inclement weather and a tree (not my finest hour; still salty about it). And no...no one was hurt. Shame I can't say the same for my ride. Anyways, the way it works is...Enterprise actually syncs with whatever collision shop you're being serviced by and literally meets you there the day you drop off your car. You sign the digital contract on their tablet and you're on your way with a brand spanking new rental. Okay, so...one caveat here: you *probably* don't need the additional insurance they always try to sell you. BUT...should you slip up in an error of judgement and somehow purchase the additional insurance for $27 per day in 2026 monies like I did, fear not! For you can easily cancel this superfluous coverage. Just take the rental back to Enterprise and make your request to customer service in person to amend your contract and cancel. That's it! My guess is most people who purchase this unnecessary add-on never bother attempting this either because.. A.) They don't care about money. B.) They seriously believe they NEED this redundant coverage. C.) They falsely assume once it's purchased there's no going back. Keep in mind, this service is charged by the day. That alone implies that cancellation is totally within your right. Just figured I'd share that hidden tidbit. Thank you for attending my Ted Talk. :D All jokes aside though, I've never really had any significant problems with Enterprise in general. Tragically, car rental businesses appear to be one of those commodities which causes customers to be quite divisive in their reviews. A quick look at their history here and you'll see reviews on either side of the extreme. Call it a staple of our times. Go figure! While I may update this review in the future should anything happen to change my mind, I'm gonna give Enterprise in Merrimack 5 fancy rentals with that new car smell out of 5.

Long story short: Hertz did not pick me up because of a staffing issue, told me I did not have good enough credit to rent from them, and refused to refund the full amount of my rental, saying I had cancelled. The staff was friendly and helpful, it was convenient and easy, everything was up to the standard I have come to expect from Enterprise. Rest assured, I will not go to Hertz again. At first, I had my son bring the truck in to look at the cap, where, after inspecting it, they recommended I schedule a follow-up appointment to get it repaired. I later brought the truck back myself for that appointment, and after no more than eight minutes of looking at it- I was told the cover was completely unrepairable and considered "trash." Despite this, the shop was not even willing to take it off my hands, and I had to drive the truck home with the cap on it, broken. After the frustrations of my time being wasted just to be told the cover was trash, I prepared to throw it out. My son, however, refused to believe that it was truly broken, and recommended I try bringing it to another truck cap shop instead. I ended up visiting Cap World in Salem, New Hampshire; and their staff evaluated the truck right away, finding that only issue (literally, only one), was a cracked hinge. They recommended I order a new one from Leer and install it myself. Less than 20 minutes after the part had delivered, I had replaced the hinge myself, and the cap worked perfectly. I should also note I am not a mechanic or engineer, this was as simple as a task could get. Based on my experience with Yankee, one of two things happened: Their staff were either incompetent, or they simply did not want to do the repair. If it was the latter, I wish they'd been honest from the start instead of sending me on an extra hour of driving for an appointment that was completely useless. I'd recommend others save themselves the trouble, and visit another shop instead.
