D., we'll get that extended warranty canceled for you right away sir ...NEVER happened..i called toyota financial weeks later and a very kind young man helped me through the process just in time. he was honest enough to tell me the reason it was delayed and never cancelled was the finance sales team WANTED THIER COMMISSION $$..( lets screw the customer!!!) I reached out to sales manager Tim regarding my expirience at mcgee, he was polite , then proceeded to do absolutely nothing ! Remember the saying " a fish stinks from the head down" ?? we'll there you have it! oh, forgot to mention i'm in new york. i left ct. with a paper licence plate... Not to worry they sais " WE( mcgee toyota) will send your plates and registration in 30 days". i got a phone call at the 11th hour ( day 28) stating they made a miscalculation on fee's collected for registration. Mcgee needs $393.38 more $$ before we can send you the plates..( holding my plates and registration hostage for more $ knowing my temporary plate is about to expire! ) i could go on because there is more but you get the point . i will say josh , my salesperson was helpfull, courteous and kind . i hope he has moved on to a better position elsewhere...

I purchased a used vehicle back in January with a warranty I was assured was the same coverage a new vehicle had. Their sales team was prompt in getting the sale and financing, as well as delivering and taking care of the registration, but that's where the convenience ended. A few days later, I realized the heated seats didn't work. It wasn't labeled on the sale page and I was assured every used vehicle went through a 'full check'. I called about it, and was bounced to the service department. They said they couldnt do anything without the P&S agreement. The sales team said they would mail everything [Reg, P&S, warranty], and I would have it in a few days. 12 days later, they send just the registration. Over the next few weeks, I was bounced between different people as to who actually had it, who would send it to me, etc etc. I finally spoke to someone who could find it and email it, conveniently after the 30 grace. I brought the car to another dealer who would run the warranty, only to find that the bumper to bumper, that I was assured would cover all electrical and mechanical components wasnt covered. The backend experience of this has been God awful. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this place has above 4 stars. Completely careless team, disorganized, and inconsistent leadership. I'll be submitting a report to the BBB.

Also, the sales man text me at 10 pm on a weeknight telling me how I wasted his time for not responding to him and how I thought he was a flaming pile of dog s*** out on the lawn because i wouldn't respond to him. Even being a little credit challenged I was able to purchase the vehicle I wanted at a fair price without the needless back and forth. Whenever my next vehicle purchase is Putnam Ford it will be the first place that I go! Edit! Okay, so maybe it won't be the first place I go. The service department??? I have had a few issues with the vehicle since purchase. Now I have had to drive back and forth to the dealership 4 times. Seatbelt stuck, outlets not working two visits and this last time was due to failing MA inspection for the hazard lights not working. Back and forth, back and forth. I asked service department about a vibration when on the highway, they say the tires need to be balanced but I will need to pay for it. I know it's a used car but I got it 2 weeks ago. You can't cover a tire balancing? Long story short, sales good. Service not so much.
