Hands down my favorite açaí I've had so far in the country. The base texture is so creamy and thick. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. And even better is the location of this Cargo Cafe. Love sitting outdoors on the patio (well, the entire cafe is a patio lol). I would come once a week if I could. Gets busy during rush hour, but just know that this happens and be patient and you'll be fine. read more

Hardly a "cafe". They don't offer alternative milks. You are limited in what you can customize. It's more or less a bar than anything else.

COLD BREWS & CALM! I absolutely loved my visit to this floating coffee shop. I was experiencing interview anxiety and this place really helped me refocus and settle down. The hustle and bustle is real, it's important to stop and enjoy the scenic delight that is La Jolla Reserve. The little body of water and a cup of coffee were a perfect combo for an overcast day. I recommend a small Cold Brew if you're looking to taste test. Prices are a little high, but this is a trendy place in La Jolla, so I'm not shocked. My only complaint was that they ran out of ALOT of food items. It was too early to be out of stock tbh. I'd recommend coming in the morning so you can enjoy a table by the water's edge. Many tech bros and professionals visit this spot, most keep to themselves, but you'll want to beat them to a seat! If you don't manage to sit near the register side of the shop, there's seating across the water with views that are just as good. Additionally, there's grassy areas surrounding the reserve for "picnic" seating. Free WiFi is available, check the front counter for the login info. Had an amazing experience. I happen to be in the area and got to check it out. The service was amazing and got to meet the gm there and she was so sweet. They have monthly flavors based on the season and I got the cold brew with a mango cold foam and I truly enjoyed it. They have multiple locations and would definitely suggest checking it out. read more

Just had coffee and pastry. Latte was pretty good and they also sell pastries and sandwiches, snacks etc. located within business area of La Jolla. A little bit hard to find. Atmosphere is relaxing with mini waterfalls and rocks. Nice to sit and relax with coffee. Server was friendly enough. You go to the counter and wait for your coffee and/or food when done. Cargo Cafe is a cute spot hidden away in a business park in the UTC area. They have free parking for an hour if you validate your ticket. The layout of the shop is really nice, but it is all outdoors so might not be the best for a cold day if you're looking for a place to work. I came in around 8:30 am and they didn't have any food yet, but said they were making it. It was the day before a holiday weekend when they're going to be closed so I believe that's why they weren't stocked up which is totally understandable. I got an iced latte with oat milk and honey and it was very good! I would definitely come back when I'm in the mood to try on of their sweeter fun drinks. read more

I came here for their raspberry cream matcha and the "lake" view/ambiance. Loved the drink (very sweet cold foam btw) and the environment! Came here to get work done and enjoy my morning and wasn't disappointed. It wasn't busy at all when I arrived at 9 but got busier soon after. First time here, in search for a quick stop café. Cargo Café is inside a business complex with gated parking. Once you grab your parking ticket, it is best to hold onto it to get it validated by the café staff (free parking). The café is located at the center of the buildings, behind the building by the parking entrance. You do have to walk around, but not a long walk at all. There is a pond with waterfalls and seats/tables all around to lounge. It wasn't super busy, but they have a good variety of food and beverage choices. Their salads were fresh, at least what I ordered today. Service was friendly too. It was quite peaceful here. read more

**PLEASE READ FOR PARKING INFO** So the overall parking situation is confusing and a bummer.. because when you arrive it's confusing. So the parking lot that is called the La Jolla Reserve that have gates.. you can park there and the cafe will validate your parking. But do not park in the church parking lot. Even though the parking situation is weird I appreciate that they will validate your parking so that makes it much better! I got the berries and cream cold brew and I really loved it! My friend recommended it to me. I was nervous about it but actually really enjoyed it!! Next time I wanna try the salted caramel cold brew. And I LOVE that they have a variety of cold brews. It's so cool and unique. My husband got the TropiCali smoothie and enjoyed it but wished there was more flavor and the coconut shavings kind of bothered his throat. But you can tell they use fresh ingredients which is such a plus. The area surrounding the cafe is beautiful. It's peaceful. A great place to do homework and just read a book or walk around. It was kid friendly in my opinion as a mother just watch out for the water. LOTS of space to sit! Didn't see a bathroom? So not sure if it has one or not.. but overall it's super cute! Went here to grab a coffee for lunch. This cafe is nestled in the middle of a business center in La Jolla. I suggest parking in the visitor lot and walking over, as its just as far as if you got a ticket and parked in the lot. I ordered the mint standard coffee and that was delicious ($7.95) Theres a gorgeous view of a waterfall and a mini lake with plenty of seating. Come here to do your work or simply relax. The coffee, especially any of their cold brews is wonderful. I like the one that has cold brew and chocolate creme combination, it's both coffee and a dessert. But the place itself is beautiful, it's tucked away in an office park but a very scenic one, there is a small pond and a "waterfall" that provides just the right amount of background noise. There's a ton of seating and even some places to plug in laptops. The only downside is the parking: it's either paid or you can park your car aways away and walk there.
