My brother and I arrived at 11:37 AM just as they were opening up and we received the best service. The food was hot, fresh and seasoned to perfection. I'm so glad we found this place as my brother lives close and didn't even know it was here! The ambiance was very good, it was well lit and the decor made me feel warm inside. Definitely 10/10, would recommend for a date or family friendly lunch or dinner!

This spot is a gem! 6 stars! Off of West GA Rd, this place is the real deal. The food was awesome and authentic, better than stuff we have had IN the Caribbean. Meat was fall off the bone good. Service was great and we even got to meet the owner. Plenty of food for a good price, and a simple menu too. The decorations gave off happy beach vibes and then even have outdoor seating. This is exactly the kind of place Simpsonville needed! All of the other food options around Simpsonville feel redundant and inauthentic. Definitely give this place a try! The only thing I think that could be improved is some of the landscaping around the building, the grass was a little overgrown. I think I also overheard that they do not serve alcohol. Not a problem for me!

This restaurant is really something special. As a big lover of Caribbean food, my bar is fairly high and I have to insist that this is the best Caribbean restaurant of the surrounding area. The curry goat was fantastic and paired great with the red beans & rice. My brother got the jerk chicken and it was meat falling off the bone tender, perfectly cooked. Niece got the curry shrimp and demolished it, pretty impressive for a kid but from my sample I can say it was a treat. You cannot beat the quantity, quality, or flavor at that price point. Youve easily got two meals there and that's what I love about this style of kitchen. It's well worth the money and a great dining experience with great ambiance with style points, friendly & quick service, and amazing food. I will definitely be back as much as possible, and implore you to check this spot out. Got two beef patties to go and they were literally the best I've had and of course I sampled one and it was fresh. Please check this restaurant out!!!

Curried goat, peas and rice, cabbage and plantains. Absolutely delicious

Fantastic Caribbean food. The curried goat was delicious, cabbage spiced just right and the plantains perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

The pineapple and ginger drink is really good and the fried red snapper plate is my go to.

They have an array of small Happy Cow ice cream flavors! We browsed through all the canned jars from a Pelzer Company (I can't quite recall). They even have woodwork pieces perfect for a home bar or new neighbor. (Bottle opener on wood) Daughter found this gem and was tickled it had the temperature to properly cook squirrel. Fortunately, staff informed us they DON'T sell squirrels. (Maybe next time) The meat case had much to choose from to include seafood. (Unless my memory is playing tricks on me) They even had an ARMADILLO EGG! Needless to say I bought one. I can't wait to try that bacon goodness! The pork I was looking for was freshly ground and was perfect for my chorizo recipe. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They welcome you and are happy to help. There is plenty of parking and the line moves quickly. Overall a great experience and worth the 30 minute drive when combined with other Simpsonville shops.

I'm heading in today to grab some tallow for frying and of course another tri tip! Do yourself a favor and stop here for all of your summer grilling needs! Almost forgot the staff was so friendly and helpful. Even grabbed a marinade used on the carne asada to let me know what was in it. Top notch service all the way around. I have shopped in this store a good bit since we moved to Simpsonville 19 years ago, but I'm ready…read moreto quit going there forever now. First, it is just about the darkest store I've ever entered in my life. Every time I go in I feel like I'm wearing my sunglasses, and I'm not, but it is just so dark and dingy-looking, I find myself wondering what, exactly, they are trying to hide. They used to carry some really interesting cheeses that I enjoyed, but they have stopped carrying much of any good cheese at all now. But this past weekend just solidified my decision that I won't be back. I needed fresh ginger, so I headed to the produce section. They had ginger, so I picked up one large root, and spotted a smaller piece that looked good, too. Fresh ginger is sold by the pound, fyi. When I checked out, the young lady ringing my purchase picked up the bag and inspected it closely. I told her it was ginger. She asked me how many PIECES I had. I told her that it didn't matter, the ginger was marked as being sold by the pound. She shook her head and asked me AGAIN how many PIECES. I told her there were two PIECES, but I repeated that the price marked in produce indicated that it was sold by the POUND, not the PIECE. So of course she proceeded to ring up TWO PIECES AT SOMETHING LIKE $3.68 PER PIECE. So I ended up paying over $7 for less than 1/2 pound of ginger that should have cost me around $1.75. ESPECIALLY with one piece being so much smaller than the other, I cannot understand why she thought anyone in their right mind would have picked up a large one and a really small one if they were meant to cost the same price. Unbelievable. And a complete ripoff. I didn't have time to go back after I saw my receipt, but it really irritates me that she would basically steal money from me for something like that. In addition, I had picked up a bag of mini oranges - looked like clementines. They were marked as $4.99 "manager's special, guaranteed fresh." But when I got them home, there were already two rotted ones I hadn't noticed, and the ones that were not rotted were already dried up so much that they had no flavor or juice whatsoever. By my reckoning, Ingles owes me over $10 for these two products. I'm never going back in there. There are SO MANY great grocery stores within 2 miles of this place. I really don't understand why it is still open. They definitely need to train their employees better (could she not read? Not HEAR? It remains to be determined) and cull out the fruit that has gone bad instead of marking it down and "guaranteeing" freshness.

After not being acknowledged and no end in sight I left and spent my money somewhere else. On the way out I ran into the manager who was blowing leaves away from the store. He wished me a good day. I told him would be better at the customer service if people could speak English. I advised him his customers couldn't he told me that everyone gets treated the same. I highly disagree. In today's society if you don't have a bilingual behind your desk while their situation is figured out everyone else is waiting unnecessarily. At the very least someone should have come and waited on those of us that were waiting and not being acknowledged instead of allowing a situation that seemed to be going nowhere to affect those of us painfully waiting. This is a normal an excellent store with a great staff very welcoming and service oriented today but today was a failure. If you want "treat everyone the same". You have to know your audience and be able to help when a unique situation arises but when the store is outside doing entry level work someone could needing assistance inside they aren't going to get.
