I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try while I was in the area for work. I'm glad that I did! I tried the jerk shrimp meal, with an upgrade for some special Jollof rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The shrimp were spicy, citrusy, and very tender, so I was happy to see the large portion. My only complaint was that she forgot my fried plantains, and I was SO looking forward to them!! Other than that, my experience was excellent, and I'll be back to try those plantains, the jerk chicken, and the curry chicken! :) read more

I'm actually a little surprised by how good the reviews are here. The food was verrry spicy; even the black beans and especially the shrimp. My mother-in-law couldn't even eat hers. The wings were okay and the chicken thighs were good. The plantains were very good. It's great for people who love spicy food. It's not a sit down restaurant; it's a little coffee stand type place where you drive through and order. Excellent customer service. I just was not a fan of the food and I won't be going back but don't let that deter you if you love spicy! read more

Don't let the "coffee" shack fool you. They serve food and their food is simply delicious! The spices are well balanced and it has just the right amount of heat. It is a definite must try on the island. The only down side I see is my tummy is not bigger so I can savor the flavors longer. read more

This drive-up food stop is a gem!!! The owners are absolutely delightful and personable! Their establishment looks very clean and their food is extremely authentic! I had the half and half (chicken and shrimp) w/ steamed cabbage and the upgraded rice. The shrimp are a tad spicy, so only order those if you like spice! Omg, my daughter brought me home some shrimp, jerked chicken, rice and stewed cabbage from here and the explosion of flavors in my mouth was incredible. I was excited to try this place after reading the rave reviews but the only comment I agree with is that the lady was very friendly. She apologized for being out of the curry goat (which they must prepare off site because there isn't room for a kitchen) and she recommended the jerk chicken so I gave it a try. I believe it had been prepared the day before and reheated on the steam table because the chicken was so overcooked that it didn't taste like chicken any more, the jerk seasonings had completely taken over. My experience might have been an anomaly but the fact that the food is prepared off site and transferred in the trunk of a car (saw it myself) concerns me. I recommend that you ask for samples before you order anything, I wish I would have. read more

Very authentic, always great flavor and cooking, very friendly owners/staff. The ONLY reason I'm hesitant to give the 5th star is due to times they said/show they'll be open and they haven't been. I work on the base and take lunch at different times. On a couple of occasions I've gone right at the time they open, and no ones there, which causes me to go find somewhere else since my lunch is limited on time. I've also showed up after opening time and they don't have much ready from "running late". I'm a reasonable person, but after the 2nd time it became a little unreliable.
