    Spicy mocha espresso shaker
    Jen T.

I've been waiting for months for this place to open. Let's just say I watched this place go through construction, and had to stop by today for their soft opening. It wasn't crazy busy around 7amish. I loved that they had a worker out there to answer questions, hand out a menu, and give us all the perks leading up to their grand opening. Apparently có, Caribou Coffee started in Minnesota; and now expanded to Texas. This particular location is drive-thru and walk-up only. I downloaded the app ahead of time to earn points. With my first order today, I already have a free medium beverage I need to use. It's kind of neat that the espresso options are regular, half caf, and decaf. I need to try half calf one day. I had the iced spicy mocha espresso shaker, and it had a good kick to the back of the throat. My coworker had the cranberry dark chocolate espresso shaker, and it reminded her of the Queen Anne Christmas Milk Chocolate Cordial Cherries; in other words, she really enjoyed it. The barista recommended the campfire mocha, so that's next on my list. I love how they also have pastries and sandwiches. All the workers were very friendly. I dig the vibe and shall be back!

Iced cinnamon sugar latte with cinnamon cold foam

Finally tried Caribou Coffee! As a coffee lover and connoisseur, I enjoyed my drink overall, but I will say their coffee leans on the sweeter side. If you don't like very sweet coffee, I'd recommend asking for your drink half-sweet. I tried the cinnamon sugar iced latte with cinnamon sugar cold foam. It was definitely very cinnamon-forward--honestly a little too much for me personally. My fiancé tried the iced vanilla white mocha, and I enjoyed that one much more!

    Cute cups!!

I like the lavender matcha with oat milk. Nice amount of ice and quick! I went through the drive-thru.

They have a seasonal drink menu as well. I had the London fog and blueberry scone (heated up). The London fog was flavorful and refreshing on a sunny day. The blueberry scone was crunchy, dense and delicious. World Blend has a cozy atmosphere with a couple areas to sit, soft lighting and a covered outdoor patio.

Hello World Blend! I…read morefound this place by accident when searching Yelp. Let's get to the good stuff: -This place has such charm - The coffee, food and pastries I had were good -The price was reasonable -The young guy working behind the counter was super nice. -I love that you can mail à package and grab a coffee and sandwich. The ugly: -The guy behind the counter was working the whole store alone. He was very nice. He did not know how to work the mailing/shipping side. I'm not sure why the owner would leave an employee in the store alone especially when he doesn't know how to run all the services. I watched customers leave because of this. By the time the owner arrived he thought the people who needed a package mailed were going to be waiting on him... not a chance... -I ordered a sandwich, coffee, and a pastry and both were good. The cashier was also the cook. He did a great job with juggling everything but he should not have been left alone. I decided to take my items to go because I didn't want to watch him struggle while trying to have a peaceful lunch. - Food handling practices were not being followed but when you're doing it all, it's hard to remember not to use the same rag you wiped à table with on a dish you're about to serve. Or to wash your hands to avoid cross contamination. Or not sharing yourself with others food by properly covering while coughing or sneezing. Overall, worth a visit but not a place to run back to. Saw a few cringe worthy things. World Blend do not call me, I'll call you.....

They personally reached…read moreout to explain that they recently received guidance from the health department not to accept outside cups due to cross-contamination concerns, and I really appreciated them taking the time to explain that. They also shared that the employee helping me was in her first week, which gave helpful context to the situation. As a kind gesture, they sent me a $10 gift card, which I thought was very thoughtful. When I came back in to use it, they recognized my name from the situation and took the time to talk with me in person and explain everything again. That really meant a lot and showed how much they care about their customers. Customer service and communication go a long way, and I'm grateful for the way they handled everything. I'm looking forward to continuing to support them. Old review: Melby's has really great drinks and the atmosphere is honestly one of the reasons I keep going back. It's a cozy spot and the coffee itself is consistently good. That said, the customer service can be hit or miss. The employees often come across as a bit unpleasant, which takes away from the experience. One thing that's especially frustrating is their refusal to allow personal cups. Almost every other coffee shop I visit is happy to accommodate this, and it doesn't require much effort, many places simply set the cup on the counter and pour the drink without even touching it. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for customers who are trying to reduce waste or just prefer using their own cup. I really do like Melby's drinks and vibe, but improving the customer service and being a little more flexible with simple requests like personal cups would make the experience much better.
