I like going here because Dr. D is honest and explains things well. I don't have dental insurance and pay out of pocket for all my services. I am sure I could find a cheaper place, but the Dr. is so great that I feel that his services are worth it! I grind my teeth, have had bad experiences with shady dentists (http://www.yelp.com/biz/avalon-dental-care-carson#hrid:pf3VTKQsIrJNdKzqivtWKw/src:self) and gag on those x-ray things you have to bite down on. Yeah, I pretty much hate going to the dentist. BUT No worries - this place is great! Also, the staff members are efficient and have fun personalities! Their dental hygienists get down and dirty and clean the hell out of your teeth. I like that they are quick and I don't have to grip those arm rests in nervous anxiety too long. This place is kinda hard to find, but its near the Ace's on Sepulveda/Palos Verdes Blvd. if that helps at all. I think they are closed on Wednesdays. read more

This is my first time leaving a review on Yelp. Truth be told, no one is excited to get dental work done, but Dr. Dispenziere and his staff take customer service to the next level. The hygienists and receptionists are super friendly, and Dr. Dispenziere genuinely cares about your teeth and overall well-being. I actually look forward to coming in and chatting with everyone. I was referred by my cousin and visited Dr. Dispenzierre about a month ago. Since then, I've went back twice to have a couple things done. May I just say~ "Dr. Dispenzierre is the BEST dentist I've ever had~!" I've been seen by countless dentists for years switching from one to another with utter discontent. Being a person that absolutely freaks out a week before a dentist appointment, Dr. Dispenzierre's office and atmosphere completely calms me. His personality and friendliness is surprisingly genuine. Dr. Dispenzierre spent time explaining to me what needed to be done and when the time came for a crown to be fitted and placed he spent even more time to make sure that it was PERFECT~! He was extremely skillful when it came to adjusting my bite. Never had I imagined that I would feel snug and comfortable on the dentist chair. I left the office thinking that this has been the most fitted crown I've ever had. So fitted, that it felt like nothing had been done to my teeth. Might I also add, Dr. Dispenzierre was remarkable when it came to local anesthesia. He nailed the nerve right on the spot so that one shot numbed it all~! I was informed that there were patients living as far as San Diego that comes to see him. I would highly recommend Dr. Dispenzierre to anyone that has not found their perfect dentist =) Lastly, office hours are very flexible: Mon - Fri from 7:00am to 5:00pm. As some others who have rated Dr. D, I have been to some shady, swindling dentists. Three times I have had dentists tell me I had a tooth that need a root canal and crown. Very interesting since I never had pain or previous cavities in those teeth and am very religious about my 6 month check ups, flossing, and brushing. Hmmmm. After about 5 years of various dentists, I have FINALLY found one that that is amazing. He is honest and trustworthy, explains everything, and works so hard to fit my hectic schedule. I wish I had found Dr. D when I first moved to California. If I had, I probably wouldn't have had to suffer through any root canals or crowns!!! I have to say that Dr. Dispenziere is probably one of the best dentist ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. It was at a time where i was losing faith in the dentist industry because I went to coutless Doctors and i felt like all they wanted was to make more money off of me and nevertheless giving me fillings where i didn't need them. I felt extremely safe in Dr. Dispensiere's office and he is also honest and doesn't try to swindle you. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time's with them. Unfortunately I moved to HB and even though it's not far It's hard for me to get up so early and take off of work to get my teeth cleaned. I wished they were open on Saturday's I wouldn't care how early they opened I would make it. As a teenager he did six root canals on me. The assistant said the nerves weren't ready for a root canal. He ran in and tried to say that most of them would be at that point within 2 or 3 years, so he said we should get started early. It was when he got a brand new Mercedes (convertible) and was trying to get me to laugh along when he said he needs to "Make Payments". read more

Dr. Dispenziere is the most amazing Dentist. He has filled cavities, bonded, crowned and helped me fight against gum disease with regular cleanings for over 10 years. He is a artist and perfectionist as a dentist but, also a caring, concerned Dr. He truly cares about YOU as a patient. I had a front tooth emergency that had to be crowned and another bonded. They look exactly like my own teeth not fake. BTW, Dr. Dispenziere doesn't do root canals as stated by another reviewer. He will however, send you to the best Periodontics or Endodontics if needed. read more

I have been seeing Dr. D. for 3 years. I have needed a few crowns replaced, a few fillings and the regular cleanings. In every case I have found him to be professional, thorough and a real perfectionist in his craft. He explains what needs to be done and makes sure I'm comfortable through the entire procedure. He was recommended to me by family and friends and I now do the same. He has seen 4 of my adult children and they are happy with him too. It's nice to have a dentist you can trust! read more

Great dentist! I definitely recommend Dr. Dispenziere. He runs his own practice so he personally completes all the work. His work is the highest quality, and he knows how to make it a pain-free experience (as much as possible that is). He is well connected to the best specialists in the area, he has high ethical standards and won't try to talk you into work you don't need. I've been going to Dr. Dispenziere for about two years now and have been extremely impressed by his professionalism and kindness. All of the staff is super friendly and helpful, and I've never had to wait for an appointment. What I like most about Dr Dispenziere is his honesty and thoroughness in ensuring my teeth are well cared for. I recently came in with several issues/questions (TMJ, wanting to remove bar on lower teeth, rough spot on my molar, etc.), and I got all the answers I needed and he helped me determine what's crucial and not-crucial. I have been meaning to write this review for a really long time, Im not sure why i have put it off actually. I have been going to Dr. Dispenziere for more than 25 years! In fact I used to fly in from college while living in Denver if I needed a cavity filled or a cleaning because I would never feel comfortable letting anyone else touch my teeth. I still commute close to an hour on the freeway to see him now and it's worth the aggregation of the 405! Besides being an all around good and honest human being his skilsl are stellar. He one time filled 3 cavities at once for me (only because I insisted that he do it since I was away at college at the time and didn't want to make multiple trips) and while my whole head and face were numb after I did not have once ounce of discomfort! He has done cleanings, fillings, crowns, bite plates and bonding (he is super good at this), he filled some really big spaces between my teeth and my smile looks amazing and very natural. He always leans on the conservative side, never wanting to do too much without investigating further and weighing all of the options. He always tells me even though it may mean an extra drive back for me he wants to be sure we are doing the right thing (i.e.. like today when I had tooth pain and he wanted to rule out any nerve issues before making decisions on the cause of the pain and the solution for it). I always tell him I have been worrying for 20 years now about what I will do when he eventually retires (long time off thankfully!). He staff is lovely, they are friendly, personable and patient. First I would like to start out by saying if your not seeing Dr. Carl Dispenziere as your dentist, then your missing out. He is not only the Best dentist in the Southbay, but a Best friend as well. My family and I have known and been patients of Dr. Carl for many years. I lost my job in 2009. I was in a situation I thought would never happen to me. I was scared, anxious, and depressed on how I was going to support and take care of my family. Dr. Carl found out about my situation and reached out to me. Out of all my friends, he was 1 of 2 people that gave me support, and told me everything was going to be ok. I am grateful for his Kindness and Friendship. I will always be a patient and Friend of Dr. Carl, as well as my wife and 3 kids will be. He is also the only doctor my kids look forward to seeing. Next I would like to include what a great staff he has. You always feel welcomed and comfortable when your in the office. I guess the saying goes, behind every great staff is a great boss.
